The concept of this book makes for easy reading when a person only has a few minutes at a time.
The author's telling of happenings of a group of people involved in an event in time was eye-opening.
The subjects tackled give the reader a safe space to formulate their own opinions about each and go away with the feeling of having truly learned something from the author's prompts.
I read and reread this book for the pleasure of it.

"Forgive Me, Father" is a wonderful collection of short stories written by Bill Pieper. It is an excellent one-sitting, easy-read entertaining book. The stories vary from thought provoking and inspirational to provocative. There is drama, real-life and humor. Bill Pieper leaves us wondering with some intriguing open-ended conclusions. I would be hard-pressed to pick a favorite, but I will mention two to provide you with an example of the treat you are in store for. The first one is the cover title, "Forgive Me, Father' where we are left contemplating what a man leaving the confessional after being told "no sin, no penance" will do and what the priest that told him this, will do...very stirring. Second is the homeless poet in "Almost Haiku" that has the opportunity to leave his alcoholic past behind and move forward into the literary world. Which will he choose?
You should most definitely check "Forgive Me, Father" out. I highly recommend this book. There is such a varied collection here, everyone will find something they enjoy...
