Well, King, I feel a certain amount of honor being the first to comment. I read your lengthy, but fascinating, bio. It's obvious that God has had His hand on you through your years of hardship and cruelty. I love your comment that you didn't come to stay on the streets. Kudos, and welcome to Authors' Den.
Re the poem, it's sad that the special ones sometimes "walk away." You regret the parting, but respond in your own special way, with head up and still looking for a bright future.
