This is an excellent piece at explaining aspects of the Thai culture that no tourist would see. It really adds dimension. I, also, like that the author admonishes against imposing Western strictures upon an Asian culture.

This poem reflects wisdom beyond the years of the young man in your photo playing the guitar. It's a little too harsh, too judgmental, and that last line could be more gripping, and less ripping. Still, very creative and exceptionally well done.

I really like this diatribe. While the word, “modern,” escapes meaning, I am everything but sharing Facebook pictures (I don't need Facebook to do that) and complaining about other cultures because when I went around the world in forty days I learned to respect other cultures for what they are––beautiful.
While we all may face perils in our life, and false walls will come down, I doubt that they will “tear one the pieces” except those too close.
