Music soothes the . . . Well, you know the rest of the line. Mankind has been forever engrossed in music of one sort or another. I imagine the cavemen beat out a tempo, using limbs of trees to whatever spirit guided him. This is a wonderful, magical even, poem concerning the gift of music you received. To say that you cherished the gift is starting the obvious.

Sentiments are so often dismissed. I'm so glad you responded to this one. Songs often resonate. I recall long ago a lover playing September Song for me. Later, I saw the play and remembered what it meant to her.
When she left me, I sent her Clouds to let her know how I felt. “Try to remember… I've looked at clouds from both sides now…”
