I can't improve on what Eva said. Since I'm addicted to Walking Dead, Z Nation, and Fear the Walking Dead, I find this kind of humor quite refreshing compared to those dismal abysmal dystopian apocalyptic (in other words ridiculous) stories of death and disruption.

I thoroughly enjoyed the perverse humor. Zombie or not, a gap-toothed grin doesn't cut it. Love is blind! Bobby found himself a meal ticket.

You got me! I thought it was some gosh awful video game based on Star Wars until the truth was revealed.
There were a couple of little glitches near the beginning, but the story, on the whole, was well written. I'm finding more and more that good editing by an outsider really improves my writing.

It looks like you've written a very fine space-based spaghetti western with some Clint Eastwood type character that can do no wrong. I'm sure you'll have a following among Trekkies and other fantasy involved fans. You have written plenty of drama and intrigue into this short, well-written excerpt.
I'm a science fiction (perhaps it should be fact) writer that tries to imagine the future in as an imaginative (different) way as possible avoiding projecting the past into the future. I guess what I'm trying to say is that while the kind of drama that you are writing about is highly salable and loved by many, it's just not my cup of tea.
