I wish I'd read this several years ago when I was dating a gal who was secretly "in the closet", stringing me along only for the sake of appeasing her parents, who were oblivious to the masquerade (as was I).
Her sister warned me... I didn't want to believe it. It was true. She burned me.
All I can say now is that I am both lucky and grateful that it ended before it reached the level of her being a spouse.
