 Naked (Raw) (Book) - 1/23/2019 8:33:22 PM
A very sincere and touching poem. An exceptional prelude. Well done!
Crying Heart (Short Story) - 4/30/2019 3:17:55 AM
No one is perfect, that's for sure. I believe life is a precious gift to use as we see fit, to be continued on the other side. It's up to each of us to find beauty on earth. I, for one, appreciate its magnificence.

Crying Heart (Short Story) - 4/26/2019 11:55:12 AM
This isn’t directed at you, Ronald, but I’m upset because I had this listed in poetry and someone said it should be posted in “stories” and so that is why it posted here. I haven’t been writing like I used to and so I thought I would share this and now I don’t know where it belongs. All I can say is that it’s posted somewhere. I just don’t have anymore to say.

Crying Heart (Short Story) - 4/26/2019 9:22:07 AM
This is more like a rap or rant than a story. And there is a certain amount of negativity that can't be denied. Fortunately I don't have the negativity because I don't look to death or something undesirable, but a natural part of everyone's life. If we want to be remembered we need to make a mark like you have with your writing. That will live beyond your life. As far as what religion promises, I don't believe that those absurd claims have any validity at all. Ron

Elton's Song (Short Story) - 3/3/2014 9:56:48 AM
What research, creativity, and dedication! I know this will make Elton John's fans smile. I had no idea he had such a body of work. I wonder if he can sing all of them by heart. I can't do that with any of my poems. Ron

Broken (Poetry) - 10/17/2024 9:22:25 AM
Repetition done with great effect. It pulled me right down into that rabbit hole. I will have some trouble climbing out. I hope you make it out also.

Pringle (Poetry) - 12/18/2022 9:52:23 AM
Hilarious and Priceless!

Pringle (Poetry) - 12/18/2022 9:34:58 AM
I really loved the way you zipped through all those overused phrases and commercials like that reconstituted, pumped up, potato chip in a can of singles with too much salt, fat and other poisonous ingredients. I have been sneaking a sour cream flavored one atop my evening nut snack of the day. My bad! Your wordplay and just plain fun was the best. And, I hope you find your hon before the new year has come. I know I'm not the one. I will probably be asleep and showered with kisses before the year is done, the ball has fallen and auld lang syne has been sung. Ron

Pringle (Poetry) - 12/18/2022 7:54:17 AM
This is more than silly, it has depth. Enjoyed, Tiffany.

Pringle (Poetry) - 12/17/2022 11:00:08 PM
I bet you had too much Vodka on the rocks, but you are very creative. I like the wordplay in this poem. Oh, there are many sweets in this poem, I would like some sour worm candy, please, which is my favorite candy. Sandie

Love? (Poetry) - 11/24/2022 2:08:43 AM
What a great love poem! One of these days I will catch up with you... if I live to be 778. So clear the way and full speed ahead. I'm after you, Tiffany. For sure.

Love? (Poetry) - 11/20/2022 9:33:30 AM
Men are uniquely different from women. Once that is understood, relationships can last longer. Your poem suggests a bitter taste from being betrayed by the temptation of a younger woman--child? Ron

Love? (Poetry) - 11/19/2022 8:55:19 PM
If he was the one meant to be, he would not have left you. Consider it's trash walking itself out. There is someone who is better and he is meant for you. Nice poem, well-expressed. Sandie

Happy Valentine's Day VII (Poetry) - 2/17/2020 10:27:21 AM
I admire your diligence in writing this virtuosity with its volumes of Vs. One of my Valentines recently told me that her 104-year-old father is still healthy and doing fine on his own. He may also be a veteran, but not with the distinguished record of the one you are referring to. Ron

Happy Valentine's Day VII (Poetry) - 2/14/2020 11:38:15 PM
Velly velly good.

Leaves/Fall (Poetry) - 10/6/2019 8:45:08 AM
A lovely description of the lovely time of the year. I'm not blinking when I see our hot summer here turn into dreary winter without all of the beautiful images your poem describes. The penalty I suffer for moving to the Gulf Coast for warmth from the winters. Ron

Leaves/Fall (Poetry) - 10/3/2019 10:28:39 PM
God's artwork is in every cell of a pet, plant and even an ant! Thank you for this very thoughtful poem Tiffany!

Leaves/Fall (Poetry) - 10/3/2019 8:20:37 AM
I fall for fall.

Duck You, Cancer (Poetry) - 9/21/2019 1:32:17 PM
Some rousing words, and a great play on them. Like MD Anderson Hospital writes, "Making Cancer History." "Out damn spot!" Ron

Duck You, Cancer (Poetry) - 9/20/2019 10:09:12 AM
Brave is the word that stands out amongst the rest, Your poetry is very deep and touching. xo

Duck You, Cancer (Poetry) - 9/20/2019 7:10:50 AM
It only wins if you let it. Great advice in this heartfelt and tough poem.

River (Poetry) - 9/20/2019 5:16:31 AM
*these lyrics were written for anyone who may need them. I have been single for over 8 years now, but it's because he cheated on me. So this song is definitely not about me.

River (Poetry) - 9/5/2019 6:44:28 PM
i would so dearly love it to hear you sing this. your words are deeply felt, what more with a melody and your voice. thank you for sharing this.

River (Poetry) - 9/3/2019 9:27:48 AM
Writing a poem can relieve the pain of loss. But the sooner you get out there and into the relationship game again, the sooner you will find another better half to help fulfill your life. Ron

Untitled (Poetry) - 8/31/2019 12:15:55 PM
You couldn't be more direct than this and I appreciated it. You wrote it in a way that is very understandable and no one can walk away from your poem saying they don't understand. Ron

Untitled (Poetry) - 8/30/2019 6:20:29 AM
A poem of defiance and resilience, this piece is inspirational! My favorite lines are: "But I know there are bigger hands in this plan The grand scheme of things may be misleading But I’m holding on and trying to give a damn". This poem thumbs its nose at the skeptical. Good job!

Happy Valentine's Day VI (Poetry) - 2/18/2019 9:25:21 AM
Thank you for a very voracious V-education on Valentine's Day. Very creative. Ron

Happy Valentine's Day VI (Poetry) - 2/14/2019 4:06:44 PM
the V's have it budd

Frustrated (Poetry) - 2/13/2019 7:46:55 PM
Heavy poetic stuff is rich and thick like heavy cream. Unloading stressful moments is good for the soul. Family squabbles are a part of life and you tell good ones just like a long-time friend. Well done! Amen!

Super Heroes (Poetry) - 1/25/2019 11:30:57 AM
According to the Bible, Moses parted the Red Sea, not Jesus. And you are right, comic book superheroes, as moral as they seem, cannot save us from the evil around us. But knowledge can. And, I would suggest that you find local heroes in your neighborhood to ambulate… Mentors and those who wish to teach you and help you on your way to a healthy and happy life. Ron

Super Heroes (Poetry) - 1/23/2019 8:36:36 PM
Jesus IS the ULTIMATE Super-Hero! All the rest do not hold a candle in comparison! Amen X 110!

Super Heroes (Poetry) - 1/23/2019 1:08:49 PM
You go girl!

Honesty (In the Late Hour) (Poetry) - 3/12/2018 3:07:08 PM
Don't ever say you are nothing. Who cares that you carry extra pounds? We all do. That doesn't mean you are any less of a person than the skinny one standing beside you. I've seen the way people treat me differently after I gained weight. But it's their problem. Their narrow-mindedness. They are empty inside. Pretty shells holding nothing. Hold your head high. The shallow people understand confidence. If they see you confident, they will respect you. Why? Because they are shallow and only follow others. And if you don't care what they think, then ignore them. I do. They slither away to their empty lives filled with useless belongings. Never say you are nothing unless you are a shallow person who looks down at others. I know you're not. Hold your head high.

Honesty (In the Late Hour) (Poetry) - 3/11/2018 11:38:55 AM
Honesty can be hard to live with, and impossible to live without. Just keep writing.

Happy Valentine's Day V (Poetry) - 2/15/2018 6:27:13 PM
I take it you hate Valentine's Day. It's a silly day like all the other commercial holidays.

Happy Valentine's Day V (Poetry) - 2/13/2018 8:45:49 AM
Bless your heart , Ron. Wish there were more guys like you in the world.

Happy Valentine's Day V (Poetry) - 2/13/2018 8:43:37 AM
As I read this flurry of Vs thrown at me with great verve, I noted that one line, "I would have better luck getting Vaginitis," struck me the most. So sorry that you are so deprived! Why I elected a few years ago to go to the local flower stand on Valentine's Day and buy roses for all of the ladies that I know, not just the ones who I was intimate with, but those who likely missed out. What else is a man to do? Chivalry should not be dead. Ron

Forever Yours (Poetry) - 2/4/2018 5:06:50 PM
We create walls around us, our prisons. To find love, we must bring those walls tumbling down.

Forever Yours (Poetry) - 2/2/2018 10:46:48 AM
Dear Tiffany, this is a beautiful poem for so many who feel lost and alone! I was one of those people after my first wife went to Heaven so young. I was so lonely even though I had two daughters and a dog who was a son-of-a-gun! With prayer and fellowship from others in our Bible study, God was able to turn a life of stale bread into a lovely life of milk and honey! Amen!

Forever Yours (Poetry) - 2/1/2018 11:46:35 AM
As a young bachelor in my 20s, I often dated women like this. They had great passion and were looking for some kind of prince to come and carry them off and take away their misery. But they were so narrow-minded and stuck in their ways, that they would never make good wives. So I seldom went back for a second date with eccentric souls like this. Ron

Keys (Poetry) - 1/26/2018 9:14:42 PM
Lovely poetic write! It sounds like the keys make lovely music that pleases. Even teases? Squeezes? LOL

Keys (Poetry) - 1/26/2018 11:51:26 AM
Thank you both :) and Ron, it’s the computer keyboard that you plug into your computer. A normal laptop keyboard just wouldn’t do ;)

Keys (Poetry) - 1/26/2018 11:45:24 AM
I have enjoyed your creativity. Well done Tiffany. keep writing

Keys (Poetry) - 1/26/2018 8:41:52 AM
A very sensual and enjoyable piece of allegory. It is obvious that you are madly in love with the creativity available from the keys of a typewriter or computer. I always laughed when I heard the clickety clack of secretaries pounding on their computer keyboards when all that was required was a soft touch without any sound. Obviously they're years of working with hard to push typewriter keys and become an ingrained routine that they couldn't lose. Don't be so sure about carpal tunnel. My sister recently had it done at 65 and my mother last year at 92. I'm sure both of them from their love of typing on their computers. BTW, I'm in love with this dictation system that allows me to leave one finger typing behind and spew out all this garbage I do on AD just for the fun of it! ;-) Ron

Sweet Forevermore (Poetry) - 1/24/2018 2:43:25 PM
A passionate poem from various points of view, even the animals.

Sweet Forevermore (Poetry) - 1/17/2018 8:45:57 AM
Sure beats that old worn out, "Singing in the Rain." I love the mix of erotica and innocence, like having the animals watch in awe. Probably the wish of more people than they would like to admit, but very hard to pull off in reality. I guess it will have to stay poetic. Ron

Sweet Forevermore (Poetry) - 1/16/2018 7:02:21 AM
Yes, Yes, Yessssss!

Sweet Forevermore (Poetry) - 1/15/2018 11:57:02 PM
Well, this was quite an adventure, Tiffany. There's nothing like a good tumble through the world of erotic sights and sounds to tickle my imagination on a cold wintry morning. Thanks for the wake up!

Merry Christmas 2017 (Poetry) - 12/24/2017 4:20:43 PM
I wish more people thought as you do.

Merry Christmas 2017 (Poetry) - 12/22/2017 9:46:19 AM
Wonderful thoughts. And even more wonderful if acted upon. In this season it is very important to reach out and touch those who may be needing a little encouragement to face the new year. Ron

Merry Christmas 2017 (Poetry) - 12/22/2017 8:50:06 AM
I concur, it's not my favorite holiday by a long shot.

Merry Christmas 2017 (Poetry) - 12/22/2017 5:54:57 AM
everyone needs that

Merry Christmas 2017 (Poetry) - 12/21/2017 3:31:46 PM
Jerry, I am so glad you are ok. Take it easy and Merry Christmas and a better New Year.

Merry Christmas 2017 (Poetry) - 12/21/2017 3:12:05 PM
Very nicely stated, Tiffany, and the truth is in the writing. I totaled my car out for Christmas, so I am sorta down at the moment. But I look on the bright side, I survived the wreck. Have a very Merry Christmas and a joyful New Year.

The Hole-y Blanket (Poetry) - 12/5/2017 4:13:39 AM
we all need that bit of cherished security

Amen! (Poetry) - 12/3/2017 9:35:39 PM
It is not Satan or God that is for all our troubles. Our destiny lies in our own hands.

The Hole-y Blanket (Poetry) - 12/3/2017 8:48:40 AM
I do have a blanket history. When I went off to college, my mother gave me a new store-bought blanket that had a fuzzy, soft, light texture in a brown and yellow plaid, and an, almost black, army wool blanket that I had used when going on camping trips. For many years those blankets served me well, until the Army blanket was relegated to the backseat of my car in case I ever ran off the road in icy cold condition and needed it. The other blanket I used on my beds until it became threadbare from washing so many times. I ended up using my grandmother's handmade quilt until I couldn't make my bed anymore and my mother put it away for future family members to admire. Ron

The Hole-y Blanket (Poetry) - 12/2/2017 10:10:58 PM
World this is how I feel, Christ is not just a story, he is Lord and Savior, and He is my Holy Blanket - the real deal!

The Hole-y Blanket (Poetry) - 12/2/2017 8:00:05 AM
Gotta love that "Hole-y Blanket" of yours Tiffany. Had one like you described when I was but a young tot. Loved it like you love yours.

Suicide Letter (Poetry) - 11/9/2017 3:04:51 AM
Without forgiveness we are all doomed and prepped for failure. I think your refrain is the key to healing and loving yourself and others. I enjoyed your poem dear Tiff, thanks for sharing. Be blessed, and have a wonderful day.

Anxiety Attack (Poetry) - 11/1/2017 6:35:48 PM
Phobias can make your life a living hell. Seeing my mother blind, suffering dementia, attached to tubes in the hospital brought my claustrophobia to a new level. We all have our demons to bear.

Suicide Letter (Poetry) - 9/25/2017 5:56:16 AM
It's always a BETTER day tomorrow. Love conquers all and will prevail over darkness. Sometimes we get hurt in the process but we can overcome with positive prayer and positive Christ loving friends. Amen

Suicide Letter (Poetry) - 9/24/2017 4:32:48 PM
I'm happy the suicide was torn up at the end. Death doesn't solve any problems. It only creates new ones.

Suicide Letter (Poetry) - 9/23/2017 3:17:40 PM
I LOVE THE FINAL CHORUS, 2ND LINE! LIFE GETS HARD FOR US ALL, BUT YOU'VE GOT TO...HANG IN THERE AND HOLD TO OUR REDEEMER'S UNCHANGING HAND! I'LL TELL ANYBODY; IF I CAN MAKE IT, AYBODY CAN!!! GOD IS OUR STRENGTH! WITHOUT HIM WE CANNOT MAKE IT...WITH HIM, WE CAN! READ ONE OF MY POSTINGS; "YOU CAN, WE WILL". YOU'VE GOT A RIGHT TO VENT, JUST REMEMBER WHAT YOU WROTE...WE DIE WHEN GOD SAY'S IT TIME AND NOT BEFORE! IF GOD DIDN'T WANT YOU YET ALIVE YOU WOULDN'T BE HERE. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Suicide Letter (Poetry) - 9/22/2017 8:30:59 AM
A morbid piece, song or not. Ron

Fall, my secret lover (Poetry) - 9/21/2017 3:25:48 AM
Why can't Fall! and Spring! be the only two seasons of the year. I'd vote for that.

Fall, my secret lover (Poetry) - 9/20/2017 11:10:51 AM
A great way welcome to welcome the fall, a beautiful time of year.

Write On a Slight Autobiography (Poetry) - 9/19/2017 8:29:41 AM
Although there were a lot of slights portrayed in this biographical sketch, I didn't think that any of them were "slight." All I can say is, beware of Internet acquaintances. Like CB addicts, most people, especially those with strange handles, are not really what they claim to be and are more likely to hurt than help. Ron

Halloweenie (Poetry) - 9/18/2017 2:15:35 PM
I won't smell your feet, but I'll join you in the fun.

Deep Ponderings (Poetry) - 9/3/2017 10:48:31 AM
each line heartfelt hugs

Haunting Illness (Poetry) - 9/3/2017 10:48:04 AM
powerful

Haunting Illness (Poetry) - 8/6/2017 4:24:34 PM
Sad. Depression is a lonely disease that most people don't understand. We carry it around like a heavy weight on our shoulders. Just don't succumb to a deadly slumber. There's always hope.

Haunting Illness (Poetry) - 8/6/2017 1:03:23 AM
powerful, compelling read never stop writing!! m

Haunting Illness (Poetry) - 8/4/2017 3:55:33 PM
A very expressive lovely piece. Expressions of loneliness and regret but it's not over yet. There is someone out on the horizon who will treat you right and this last one you will soon forget. Amen to that Tifany! May Peace, Love & Blessings come your way. John Michael

Haunting Illness (Poetry) - 8/4/2017 5:09:05 AM
Eh, this could certainly be called "tellin' it like it is."

Linkin' Park (A Memorial Piece) (Poetry) - 8/3/2017 6:16:28 AM
A beautiful tribute to a great musician. We live and die by our painful life stories.

Linkin' Park (A Memorial Piece) (Poetry) - 7/31/2017 7:14:51 AM
And there was a lot of legwork done. An amazing way of linking song titles to various emotions that often arise in relationships. No wonder we are so messed up and our soap operas last so long. ;-) Ron

I'm a Memory (Poetry) - 7/22/2017 12:47:28 PM
You make a good case for ending the misery of a life too stressed. Makes one wonder what music could have been written and performed by so many stars that burned-out long before their time was up. Ron

I'm a Memory (Poetry) - 7/21/2017 10:05:31 PM
You are a child of the Lord. God loves you forever and I love your poetry because of your sincerity and expressive spirit. You are a blessing to so many on the den but forget about trying to please everyone! Not even Jesus could do that so why do we think we can? Enjoy life and be yourself. You are unique and special in so many ways! Amen

I'm a Memory (Poetry) - 7/21/2017 8:14:52 AM
A jam-up write, Tiffany. Me, I write what I want to write. If they like my poetry, they like me, because I am my poetry. If they don't like my poetry, never mind, I like it, and that's good enough for me.

Deep Ponderings (Poetry) - 7/19/2017 1:45:29 PM
That last line is a wonderful line that consumes hepoem with its majesty.

Deep Ponderings (Poetry) - 7/19/2017 11:38:10 AM
There must come a tipping point in everyone's life when we stop reacting to the world, and let it react to us. It's a tough thing to do, but it gets us off the defense, and gives us a bit of control. Try it. It's freeing.

These Hands (Poetry) - 7/17/2017 12:36:51 PM
Edward, I'll never tell ;)

These Hands (Poetry) - 7/17/2017 8:15:13 AM
Your 12th line caught my eye. I'm sure there are a few stories behind that line. Come on, Tiffany. You can trust me with your secrets.

These Hands (Poetry) - 7/17/2017 5:16:24 AM
A wonderful description of how important hands are to us. And why we miss using our hands in certain ways when our hands don't work right or something we cherish is no longer available to us to put our hands on. I miss the ability to massage the aching muscles of my partner whose hands do it so well for me. You are only halfway there in the long use of your hands. I have used my hands more than twice as long as you and find that I miss, so much, over 90% of those uses (except a splitter and a guinea pig) that you list, as my hands grow increasingly unable to feel and do. My mother, at 92, is undergoing carpal tunnel surgery to get back use and feeling in her hands so she can do simple tasks she needs to every day. I used to watch her strong hands knead bread dough every few days or so to make loaves of bread for over 70 years. Ron

Moment With God (Poetry) - 7/16/2017 2:41:46 AM
THE CREATOR'S CREATIONS, EVERYWHERE...IN EARTH, SKY AND SEA DOES EXACTLY WHAT HE MEANT FOR THEM TO DO...REMINDS US OF HIM. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

These Hands (Poetry) - 7/16/2017 2:38:31 AM
EXCELLENT AND ENJOYED! THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATION.

Taylor Swift Fun (Poetry) - 7/10/2017 7:30:03 AM
A whole lot of "legwork" in this one. Like another of years that I read, it is very unique and very creative using the titles to create a story poem that makes sense as well. I knew she wrote from life experiences of hers, but this is surreal! I sure hope Taylor gets to read this. Ron

Taylor Swift Fun (Poetry) - 7/9/2017 1:48:42 PM
Nice piece! Taylor Swift is amazing!

My Last Breath (Poetry) - 7/7/2017 10:21:46 AM
Sounds as if there's something hot and spicy waiting for 'the one' when he comes along. Good poem with very original ways of expressing familiar emotions.

My Last Breath (Poetry) - 7/5/2017 12:37:04 PM
If love is worth anything, Tiffany, it's worth that last breath.

My Last Breath (Poetry) - 7/5/2017 9:50:02 AM
A very passionate plea for loving companionship. Powerful words painted on these pages. Ron

My Last Breath (Poetry) - 7/5/2017 5:44:12 AM
Such lovely thoughts will take you far. Stay the course, and you will prevail.

Dear Muskrat (Poetry) - 5/26/2017 11:38:22 AM
When I talk to the animals (except for my cats) it's just to complain about the noise, the poop, or the bites. Suggestion: No need to reveal the time it took to do anything, unless you are complaining to your lover!

Dear Muskrat (Poetry) - 5/24/2017 4:03:41 PM
Forgot to add the picture, LOL glad you guys liked this. I love nature and love writing about what I see :)

Dear Muskrat (Poetry) - 5/24/2017 2:58:13 PM
a great bunch of natures creatures here

Dear Muskrat (Poetry) - 5/24/2017 5:48:00 AM
Muskrats, beavers and frogs, oh my. For cuteness, this poem hit the bulls eye.

Dear Muskrat (Poetry) - 5/24/2017 5:39:00 AM
That is a cute poem. There is a "muskrat" song out there from the distant past that I don't recall fully. I have never seen one although I have seen beavers. My high school friends who were also taxidermists--made careers out of it, trapped "mushrats" [their pet name] in creeks around my hometown. For some reason muskrat fur is valued and ordinary rat fur it is not. Ron

Dear Muskrat (Poetry) - 5/23/2017 9:00:00 PM
Cute poem! I wonder how many folks have ever encountered a muskrat? I have read about them and saw them on TV. That's about it. However, they seem to be very playful characters. Great write!

Moment With God (Poetry) - 5/16/2017 3:52:10 PM
Yes, I agree. Your poem is eternally well done. Amen

Moment With God (Poetry) - 5/16/2017 6:37:58 AM
I am so glad that the beaver and elk have returned to Pennsylvania. While we admire the early settlers for their perseverance, survival in the wilderness and faith, they hunted and trapped many Eastern species like the wood bison and Eastern elk to extinction. We must never let that happen again for man's preference over nature's abundance. Ron

Moment With God (Poetry) - 5/15/2017 5:06:46 PM
I believe he is everywhere and you describe him so well in your poem dear Tiffany, I am glad I chose your poem to read this evening before bed, I'm retiring for the evening with a smile on my face, xo

Childlike Feeling (Poetry) - 5/2/2017 6:37:51 AM
I recall as a child, in the summer when we would get a downpour, wanting to go out in the rain in my swimsuit just to enjoy it. After my hands were paralyzed I couldn't hold an umbrella. One day while leaving the University alongside a fellow professor it looked like it was going to rain on us before we got to our cars. Being cordial and started to sprinkle, I said to him, "It looks like we are going to get rained on!" He replied, "That's okay. I'm not a Baptist." Ron

ALL Lives Matter (Poetry) - 4/25/2017 6:34:51 AM
As I read, I can see you are crying out, through your poetry and the media of the Internet to try to explain why you feel the way you do. And I have read many other very similar poems by you in the short time that I have read you here. I don't want to praise you for writing your heart out or to control you in your depressed state. The only thing I can say is that by writing and declaring what your problems are, you may be able to get a handle on them. I have been depressed at times, for years, feeling alone and unsupported. It came primarily from rejection. But we all have rejection even the most popular and beautiful people get rejected and many suffer for it. But I worked myself through that rejection by building strong self-confidence that I always had anyway. Always looking out for the underdog in my weaker twin brother. But since I've been there and know what it is I have always tried to help out anyone that I know that is less fortunate than I. Believe it or not, I've been looked down upon for trying to help other people. But I don't care. Those people do not define me. And they shouldn't define you. Keep writing your heart out, focusing on finding what you're good at and positive about, and hopefully, you will come out better. In spite of great obstacles, I have never thought of suicide. However, if I suddenly found myself in great distress, either mental or physical, where I would suffer in pain for a long period of time, I think it would be rather easy to drift off into that sleep of death. And I have written so. I think those who stigmatize those who commit suicide as something very "ungodly" have it wrong. We all die. When we consciously decide when and how we will end our own life, it is actually a courageous act. Ron

ALL Lives Matter (Poetry) - 4/24/2017 5:38:46 PM
I have thought of taking my life. Yes, most definitely I have.

Light In Her Eyes (Poetry) - 4/24/2017 9:55:27 AM
Those eyes are captivating, but those . . . er . . . Yesssss!

Omnipotent God (Poetry) - 4/23/2017 3:19:47 PM
A nice message of God's love! Thanks for sharing, Tiffany!

What if.... (Poetry) - 4/16/2017 8:34:14 AM
A whole lot of speculation in a single poem that could be delivered rap style. And, I don't think you left anything out. The poem could stand for a bio on a dating site for what it reveals about you, and perhaps why you haven't made a connection yet at this stage of your life. All very interesting and unique to me as a kind of stream of consciousness about the unsettling thought of not being loved for your poetry. Ron

What if.... (Poetry) - 4/16/2017 7:49:32 AM
What if... I said you are a kind, caring, understanding, and loving person and it shows in your words, your attitude, and in your lust for life? I believe you are all that and a lot more. I suspect that we will individually and collectively become much more intimate eventually. Until then, what if we took the time to enjoy the mysteries that we do not yet know, but we find so fascinating to think about? May you always be wrapped in cosmic love! --Ed

What if.... (Poetry) - 4/15/2017 6:11:56 PM
Okay.

Wash (Grandma's Saying) (Poetry) - 4/12/2017 12:23:27 AM
Strangely, we here in UK have the same saying... In fact we share many of these old sayings... Nice to feel connected...like the socks! Diana...

Wash (Grandma's Saying) (Poetry) - 4/10/2017 9:20:28 AM
LOL

Wash (Grandma's Saying) (Poetry) - 4/10/2017 8:51:01 AM
Tiff, as we said growing up in Arkansas ( Jerry can attest to this, sorry Jerry), it will all come out in the wa-r-sh, or "did you warsh that first", gotta have that "R" in there, LOL! Dan

Wash (Grandma's Saying) (Poetry) - 4/10/2017 7:09:35 AM
"It will come out in the wash" certainly is a great metaphor for life. Ron

Darius Rucker Fun (Poetry) - 4/8/2017 8:22:18 AM
Very creative… Every time I hear his name, I can't seem to get over it… And singing country? I have a friend from Bombay of Persian ancestry. He named his three sons Cyrus, Darius and Xerxes. Ron

The Author (Poetry) - 4/2/2017 9:18:23 AM
Perhaps on my epitaph I would like this saying of mine, "The only proof there was a me, are the things I've written for your to read". Our words indeed will far outlive us we hope. I still remember quotes in my head from older relatives long gone that stick with me to this day, little phrases they said or a sentence of advice here and there. Wish I had written more of them down but didn't think quite so much of what they said at the time. Dan

The Author (Poetry) - 4/2/2017 6:25:39 AM
Your picture shows struggle in your eyes. And by this poem you are still fighting in spite of the recognition you are receiving. I think it's time to relax and write about other things during this long span of life you have left. Who knows, maybe you'll be remembered for more than your struggles. I have been writing about my experiences and about how we all can triumph and overcome problems. It would be interesting if, after I'm gone, I would be thought of as a writer. But, human nature being the way it is, I've found that many people have perceived me from a very narrow perspective from a single slice of experience with me. If anything else, my writing will show them that I was and am more than that. Ron

The Author (Poetry) - 4/1/2017 12:29:03 PM
Amen!

The Author (Poetry) - 4/1/2017 11:48:27 AM
In the end, no matter what's been said, all an author wants, is simply to be read.

The Stagnant Heart (Poetry) - 3/31/2017 7:12:08 AM
Quite a story poem! It felt so real. Yet I hope it wasn't. Ron

The Stagnant Heart (Poetry) - 3/30/2017 5:24:37 PM
THIS is so very good, Tiffany. You delved inside your soul to find these words to say and present to us. Thank you.

Yapper (Poetry) - 3/30/2017 6:14:47 AM
Can't say it better than Ron. Having sharp tongue is still just words, and you can apologize afterwards. Sometimes it's good to clear the air.

Yapper (Poetry) - 3/30/2017 5:49:35 AM
You covered the territory in spades! Reminded me of all the times I was told to keep my yap shut. Usually by someone who was yapping all the time. Better to be a squeaky wheel than a silent loser. Ron

Yapper (Poetry) - 3/29/2017 8:52:32 PM
How true, Tiffany, and not just for you, but for all of us. Our mouths give us away. Enjoyed this write. John

Yapper (Poetry) - 3/29/2017 4:42:55 PM
Ahhh . . . Just go with the flow, Tiffany. The flow is there. Go with it!

Coughs (Poetry) - 3/9/2017 3:59:38 PM
Raw truth spoken here. Can't help but to know you better. Much enjoyed your open heart. I pray you find that special one who will care for you more than life itself. Amen

Coughs (Poetry) - 3/8/2017 8:05:23 AM
I'm still here… Read all the way to the end. What I like about this piece is its clarity and its honesty. You do not hide behind esoteric words and you make it very clear what your intent is with each line. It doesn't get more real than that. Ron

Coughs (Poetry) - 3/8/2017 8:03:41 AM
This is a journey filled with humor, hope, nostalgia and much creative talent. A splendid rendering, dear Tiffany, and one worthy of all my attention and feelings of understanding, compassion, and love. You pulled me in, and I feel better for it. Ed

Anxiety Attack (Poetry) - 2/25/2017 9:52:06 AM
My sister became a recluse after developing agorophobia in her teens. Eventually she found a drug that helped her come out of her shell and join the world. Thankfully, her husband stuck with her through all those years. You write about your demons quite well. Helps those of us who read to understand. Ron

Anxiety Attack (Poetry) - 2/24/2017 6:29:52 PM
Ahhh . . . Takin' it to tha limit every day is what we do if we want to deal ourselves a dose of downtown reality. For the most part we have all been there. Traveled some of the same roads and chased the devils within. Yeah you're right, lean on each other until the leaning get too rough, then stand tall, suck it up, and find ourselves!

Mouthful (Poetry) - 2/22/2017 8:07:56 AM
Wow! What a revelation! Filled with both good and bad. You certainly have yourself very clearly figured out. Based on what I read, I believe there are places on this earth where someone like you is highly valued. And I'm not talking about your thoroughness, your mental illness, or your ability with poetry. I'm talking about your physical appearance that causes you so much concern. If you do some research, you may find a place where a person who looks like you is worshiped. Then, all you have to do is convince your church that you want to do a mission there. Once they fund your mission and you arrive on the scene where all the men will adore you just for who you are, you can tell the church to take a flying leap and jump into the local culture, becoming one of their prized possessions. Excuse me for prescribing and carrying on like this. Just thought you could use a little humor. ;-) Ron

Mouthful (Poetry) - 2/22/2017 4:30:19 AM
Lose some weight . . . Couldn't hurt . . . Your mindset will change toward the positive . . . You will smile again

I Get Off (Poetry) - 2/20/2017 1:43:37 PM
You sure know how to grab onto life. And you know what is classic and what is just passing fancy or the latest fad. I really love your honesty about the great feeling it is to get down and dirty once in a while and not let all those inhibitions intervene with a damn good time. Ron

I Get Off (Poetry) - 2/20/2017 11:08:08 AM
I get off on women, who know how to be sexy. Especially the ones, who can talk dirty to me.

I Get Off (Poetry) - 2/20/2017 9:23:30 AM
I'm glad you enjoyed this. CCR is awesome! Oh yeah, love Momma Cass, too. Your reviews always make my day. Thank you for reading my stuff :)

I Get Off (Poetry) - 2/20/2017 8:49:21 AM
"Just take those old records off the shelf" Yesss! You and I "get off" on much the same things, except for Joesph Thomas Elliott's music, you have have the rest of him. I love all that stuff, especially CCR, I even cream my jeans when I hear Momma Cass (another Elliot, with only one "T") . . . Yeah, you an I woulds groove for sure when we pulled those old records off the shelf." Enjoyed the hell out of this one.

Our Love (Poetry) - 2/17/2017 3:41:37 PM
Thank you. I have been single going on 6 years now and am extremely lonely. All I know is to write and dream.

Our Love (Poetry) - 2/17/2017 3:37:44 PM
A very amorous, nay, outright sexy write. I felt you need as you wrapped your words around each thought and process of your wanting.

Electric (Poetry) - 2/16/2017 2:21:26 PM
you've gone 'electric' --- love those chords!

Electric (Poetry) - 2/15/2017 6:49:05 AM
Play that guitar. Bend those strings. I feel like dancing, and my heart sings.

Electric (Poetry) - 2/15/2017 6:18:51 AM
I remember when Bob Dylan was booed for coming on stage with an electric guitar. But oh how that electric guitar turned everybody on up to and including this insightful look into what it does for the female psyche. Like said, "tune in, drop out and turn on." Never used drugs. That electric guitar was all I needed to come. As you can see, your poem brings back great memories of great performances. Ron

Electric (Poetry) - 2/14/2017 6:49:37 PM
LOL--what a way to go though, right? ;)

Electric (Poetry) - 2/14/2017 6:32:56 PM
I'm worn out just from reading this the five times that I did. Hah!

Happy V-Day part IIII (Poetry) - 2/10/2017 8:12:23 AM
As smooth as Velveeta and more tasty than ass. But it was a gas! I'm getting the impression that men don't appreciate women that are smarter than they are. And that's why the pool of potential mates is so small for you. They are intimidated by your genius. There are two ways to impress a man: feed him or let him under your covers. Perhaps you could combine both? Ron

Mental Illness (Venting) (Poetry) - 2/9/2017 9:48:12 AM
A very revealing exposé of your life and how you feel those of us on the "outside" are treated. Your call to action needs to be heard because it is only through action that we will be heard over the bigoted, fearful restraints of a bottled up society. I'm not religious and don't believe that religion will help solve our problems. But I'm with you all the way when it comes to joining together and fighting the good fight. Ron

Bald is the Equivalent of Freedom (Poetry) - 2/7/2017 8:19:59 AM
You not only showed empathy but you seem to have enjoyed your new look. I have no friend or relative with cancer to emphasize with. My hair cutter, however, wants to "bald me." With each haircut, my hair grows shorter. I find that I now have to put something on my head to keep warm. When I look in the mirror, I don't recognize myself anymore. I don't want to be associated with motorcycle crowd tattooed chrome dome with a helmet, bulging muscle idiocy sweeping the country. I don't even want a ponytail long hair look or flowing beard full of cooties and crumbs. But everyone wants to be an individual… So get out the blades and shave it off… Ron

Bald is the Equivalent of Freedom (Poetry) - 2/7/2017 6:54:43 AM
When my dad started losing his hair from cancer treatments, he asked my wife to just shave his head, aand I had her do the same with my head in support. And so we sat there side by side in his garage as my wife made us both chrome domes.

A Character For Sure (Poetry) - 2/6/2017 9:52:04 AM
You really got me with all these comic book cartoon characters. Only a couple that I know since I haven't read cartoons since I was a teenager eons ago. I just recently discovered that even the Walking Dead comes from a comic book. What's the world coming to! ;-) Ron

Prison (Poetry) - 2/3/2017 7:23:14 AM
You certainly have covered the gamut of life in a nutshell. Interesting and unique. Ron

Darkened Shadow (Poetry) - 2/1/2017 8:23:22 AM
From the first three lines, I think you are stalking me. ;-) Certainly delivered with a bit of regret, like missing out and not wanting to stand for it anymore. You conveyed the feeling very well. Ron

Darkened Shadow (Poetry) - 2/1/2017 7:21:48 AM
Remind me to never get on your bad side.

Darkened Shadow (Poetry) - 2/1/2017 6:48:30 AM
An honest plea to see 'you' (or your protagonist) in a clarifying light. Could be a marriage proposal. Interesting list. Peace...

50 Years (Poetry) - 1/31/2017 7:32:58 AM
Practically a biography in a poem. So very well done. Showing what happens to a mind losing its capability except to remember the past. Reminds me of my grandmother and her struggle from 85 to 90 years of age. Could it be the gasoline fumes while pumping gas at his grandfather's gas station that began the deterioration of brain cells.? Ron

50 Years (Poetry) - 1/31/2017 6:58:49 AM
My mom had Alzheimer's. It's a terrible disease that no one deserves.

Trudge (Poetry) - 1/28/2017 11:55:36 AM
All I can say is to trudge on out of that very awful place until you reach peace and tranquility in the sunlight of a new day. Ron

Sundowning (Poetry) - 1/17/2017 8:14:22 AM
My grandmother had Alzheimer's syndrome for five years before she died. I don't think she was a "sundowner" although she became very religious to the point of aggravation. She was in a nursing hospital where she received very good care, but I don't recall her being agitated, restless, or anything like that. When I visited her three times coming from very far away, she was merely smiling and eating and not much else. As far as I know, I have no dementia yet, but my physical condition is getting so difficult that it is causing much concern among my caregivers. Making me warm and comfortable so that I can sleep is a major undertaking. Ron

Sundowning (Poetry) - 1/17/2017 8:01:12 AM
My mom had Alzheimer's. I've heard this disease described as going through a house and turning off the lights one by one, and that's an accurate description. Having to put my mom in a nursing home was the hardest thing I've ever done, but try to take care of her on our own was really starting to take a toll on all of us. When the end came, the only person my mom could recognize or remember was me. I only hope this disease isn't in my future. Nobody deserves to go out like that. Michael D.

Sundowning (Poetry) - 1/16/2017 9:09:04 PM
I empathize. My step son has several mental issues. He cannot laugh, cannot cry, does not ask for anything, and forgets everything. He likes to unplug my cable box, and take the batteries out of the remote control. It's a game we play.

Sundowning (Poetry) - 1/16/2017 12:15:49 PM
Since I'm in the middle stages of Dementia I quite understand this poem.

The Purple Hat (Poetry) - 1/9/2017 9:01:14 AM
Thank you all for the positive feedback. Ronald, I'm sorry for your loss. Michael, that is awesome that you did the same thing. It sure does make you look at life differently, doesn't it?

The Purple Hat (Poetry) - 1/9/2017 7:03:18 AM
I'm so glad that you were willing to empathize with your grandmother to the point of shaving your head and working as a team on beating her cancer. Your poem is an inspiring story. I was 2000 miles away when my grandmother encountered kidney cancer that eventually became lung cancer. But I did see her when she became a frail skeleton of a woman with no hair as the chemo and radiation treatments took their toll before her death. Fortunately, my early teen brothers and my mother were there to assist her like she assisted me when I was going through rehab years before. As I lose my hair (she cuts it very close) with age, I find myself wearing a black hood that helps keep my head and body warm on these cold mornings. Ron

The Purple Hat (Poetry) - 1/9/2017 6:40:27 AM
I'm glad your grandmother is doing well. When my dad was taking chemo, his hair also fell out, and I too shaved my head in support of him.

The Purple Hat (Poetry) - 1/8/2017 4:47:59 PM
You are one amazing woman dear Tiffany, wish there were more people like you in the world, the love you have for your grandmother is commendable, your dedication to her health is something rarely seen from a young person. I am so glad you are both doing well, keep up the good lovin' I bet your a piece of cloth from the same fabric you and granny, I'm smilin' and so is my heart as it rejoices alongside you, be blessed dear Tiffany x

The Purple Hat (Poetry) - 1/8/2017 3:33:41 PM
a beautiful read of courage and faith leading to healing. whenever I see a purple hat or one similar to yours I'll think of your poem. Be Blessed

The Purple Hat (Poetry) - 1/8/2017 1:55:41 PM
An exquisitely told story about you and your cancer-free grandmother!

Comfortably Numb (Poetry) - 1/3/2017 2:06:12 PM
I can't say it better than Ron. A very intense write. Michael D.

Comfortably Numb (Poetry) - 1/3/2017 9:27:06 AM
Much truth drips from this riveting write! Always, Deborah

Comfortably Numb (Poetry) - 1/3/2017 8:40:04 AM
Alcohol, a downer, and nicotine, an upper, seem to go well hand-in-hand in taking that train to destruction. Your poem is so well put that it brings that lifestyle to the forefront. Clear and in your face. And, in the hand of fate. Ron

The Aardvark (Poetry) - 1/1/2017 11:40:04 AM
From aardvark to zoo, your wordplay got through. And I loved every word of it. Ron

A Sycophant, a Narcissist, and a Sociopath (Poetry) - 12/30/2016 6:20:42 AM
I'm usually wrong, but I suspect I know someone who somehow embodies all three of these characters in one person. And, some people who frequent bars find comfort in associating with someone they can identify with. Ron

A Sycophant, a Narcissist, and a Sociopath (Poetry) - 12/30/2016 3:40:56 AM
Eh . . . It takes all kinds, I have been told. I have seen this scene play out in more dives I care to recount. Yup.

Music Fun (Poetry) - 12/29/2016 11:04:30 AM
Thank you both! And Ronald Hull, thank you for adding such an awesome line! Your name will be mentioned in my next book with this addition added. Hope that is ok :)

Music Fun (Poetry) - 12/29/2016 7:36:05 AM
What a romp through pop music! And I agree with Richard that this was one hard-working piece that really is worth the effort. You even included some songs and some artists that I don't know. Which illustrates what you know about music to be able to write this. One thing though, after reading the two lines: "Mick Jagger and David Bowie went Dancing in the Street While Bruce Springsteen was busy Dancing in the Dark" I thought it would be appropriate for a third line: And Lionel Richie was Dancing on the Ceiling Ron

Music Fun (Poetry) - 12/29/2016 7:13:51 AM
You worked hard on this one. Handclaps for that. My tastes in music are different now but I remember hearing (and enjoying) every song you mentioned. Thanks for sharing. HNY. r

Christmas 2016 (Poetry) - 12/28/2016 11:56:41 AM
Great thoughts and values renewed for Christ in Christmas. reading with meaning. Thanks

Christmas 2016 (Poetry) - 12/21/2016 8:40:44 AM
A common lament about Christmas. I began to think that it's been going on this way for over 100 years. Perhaps it is because in childhood, regardless the age, everything seems magical. But when we grow up we began to see the crassness that creeps in and began to question what commercialism has done to the celebration. Ron

Christmas 2016 (Poetry) - 12/20/2016 6:36:53 PM
Thank you, gentlemen! I pray that you both have a lovely Christmas. I apologize for this poem being in paragraph form, as it is supposed to look like the poem it is. Since you guys were able to read it though, perhaps I will leave it this way. At least until someone argues otherwise ;)

Christmas 2016 (Poetry) - 12/20/2016 5:05:49 PM
Nicely done. By not using periods at the end of the sentences your prose carried me on like it was more of a stream of consciousness thread. Made me think and I think the effect it had was that it gave your observations more impact. This is more like one of those "thanks, I needed that." Just in time for the holiday to help me consider what ought to be the way we should appreciate the season. Thank you.

Christmas 2016 (Poetry) - 12/20/2016 1:30:00 PM
Enjoyed this. You make clear points and shed a light on the real reason for Christmas. "May your blessings this Christmas and New Years outweigh your sadness" Indeed. Something that everyone can hope for. Peace to you... rlc

Happy V-Day Tiffany!

Happy V-Day (Poetry) - 2/14/2014 11:56:25 AM
If "V" is for Valentine's Day, you've got the Vs covered! What a lovely, cheerful, creative and funny Valentine's Day poem. I would like to see that Vagina Day, if I could come along. ;-) Ron

Billy Joel Fun (Poetry) - 6/16/2013 10:22:13 AM
Ain't it the truth, Roger?! Haha..what did you think of it?

Billy Joel Fun (Poetry) - 6/16/2013 7:40:05 AM
If Mr. Hull finds this fascinating, it must be good.

Billy Joel Fun (Poetry) - 6/5/2013 9:32:41 AM
I sure hope Billy Joel gets to read this. I'm a bit flabbergasted with your skill to put together, these titles in such a meaningful poem. Kudos! Ron

<3 (Poetry) - 5/11/2013 8:55:28 PM
~Tiffany~ A fun poem. May the gentle charm and wonder of writing be yours always. Happy Mother's Day. Lady Mary Ann

I hope your keyboard congratulates you on Mother's Day. That certainly was a “cute” piece. Ron

A Night Made For Lovers (Poetry) - 4/12/2013 6:56:26 AM
Losing electric power does seem to bring out primal instincts. But it sure is nice when the sun comes up and heats up the place naturally. Ron

A Night Made For Lovers (Poetry) - 4/11/2013 9:03:15 AM
But Tiffany, what an imagination you have! With warm thoughts like that you created a great poem… Ingeborg

We Have Ever Known (Poetry) - 4/10/2013 8:28:24 AM
Ron, I would choose to find love on this Earth as well, but right now it seems as though it won't happen. Just a song of something that seems more promising than not.

We Have Ever Known (Poetry) - 4/10/2013 6:59:48 AM
They say that in heaven all things will come to those who wait. Your poem eloquently reflects that thought. On the other hand, I am on this Earth, and I'm not waiting until I die to find love. Ron

We Have Ever Known (Poetry) - 4/10/2013 6:16:08 AM
Such a melancholy piece of work, Tiffany. Sad, yes, but the sadness is somewhat tempered by the gentleman who sits and waits to be with you. And happiness arrives when he finally finds you and the angels sing for you the wedding song.

Depth (Poetry) - 3/21/2013 5:36:19 AM
Amen, John! He will always be the Answer and the one I know I can always trust and lean into. Thank you!

Depth (Poetry) - 3/20/2013 8:22:48 PM
Emotional poetry at it's best. Jesus Christ is Still the answer. He is THE Best! Peace, love and abundant blessings, John Michael

Depth (Poetry) - 3/20/2013 7:21:00 AM
Something is keeping you from loving yourself. Once you do that, you won't need the external crutch of a God to support you in your misery. Your misery will just go away and you will be happy. Ron

Depth (Poetry) - 3/19/2013 10:31:47 AM
Heh.Heh You answered a very important question I have been searching for decades for an answer, and you gave it to me. God snickers. My life is complete now that i have the answer. Ah, the other things you brought up, not understanding, was an exercise in heavy duty angst. I'm at the age where I have quit asking. I'm waiting for whatever comes next.

In Loving Memory (Poetry) - 3/14/2013 6:24:18 AM
Exceptional poetry in fondness for your Uncle Leo. He is smiling . . .

Nerves (Poetry) - 2/9/2013 6:30:51 AM
Tiffany, Write, write, write and never give up. I hope your every dream will come true. God bless. Many blessings, Linda+

Nerves (Poetry) - 2/7/2013 12:54:10 PM
And write for people… Something they would like to read or enjoy. Otherwise, why would your talent they employ? Ron

Nerves (Poetry) - 2/7/2013 7:54:06 AM
The secret is to write for yourself. People will come.

My Words Have Died (Poetry) - 2/6/2013 5:56:12 PM
This is one powerful piece of purple prose bled out on the den floor for all to see... pathos personified... sympathy infused in every line the reader scans as poets' plans gang oft awry and pathos pours down by the by while your persona waves goodbye... a common craze these weary days when the "eyes [we have] known all, already...that fix you in a formulated phrase... [and leave you] pinned and wriggling on the wall" ... when the eyes have it and it is not good... a pithy and pitiful (in a good way) poem, this... you've invested your speaker with a strong sense of the fallible... and like Jerry says... we can relate! Job well done. Roger

My Words Have Died (Poetry) - 2/6/2013 5:37:43 PM
Hah! I have fought that fight for a couple of decades trying to make my words work with people. Like you, I've caved after thirteen novels, a memoir and a hell of a lot of poetry. Neat poem if sad.

Writing Thing (Poetry) - 2/5/2013 3:06:36 PM

Writing Thing (Poetry) - 2/1/2013 11:39:10 AM
Oh! I know that feeling Tiff. Very well said... Respectfully, Herm
