I am a fan of biography, autobiography, true crime and fact based literature. This book had elements of all these genres and it read like a thriller. David's style of writing makes you feel like he is just a friend telling a story but just when you are thinking you are going to get a nice coming-of-age story, beer and women get involved, and then the plot begins to twist! This is a edge of your seat, can't put it down PERFECT read. I am a reader and a thinker and this one kept me doing both. Every once and awhile you read a book where you just want to find the author and buy him a drink but in this case... that could be dangerous. Do not for a moment think this is a 'man's book'. ANYONE who likes a great read will enjoy this one...the girls in the book club can't put it down, my 80 year old dad loved it and any 20-something on the verge of traveling should read this cautionary tale! Well done!
