The book; “Understanding Humanity the Key to Successful Leadership” is a reflection of Fr. Sylvester Oyeka C.S.Sp on human leadership which could only be possible in studying humanity characterized by its complicatedness. Humanity is unique; a being of consciousness according to Sartre the philosopher, this implies that the mental processes for an individual remain known to him alone. Leadership therefore is an exploration of humanity through humanitarian study in order to discover and overcome those barriers which frustrate human leadership. Human temperaments must not be overlooked in leadership since humanity reacts differently based on psychological constitutions. These temperaments must be observed carefully in the course of leadership in order to discover the uniqueness which could be enrichment to the society.
Leadership itself is seen as a science, which implies that it adopts scientific methodology in exploration into the life of the people, who must be studied in order to achieve a good leadership; this is made feasible through accompaniment of the people, studied psychologically and physiologically. However, good leadership is scientific, theological and philosophical. In its scientific nature, it is seen as a body of knowledge which investigates into the nature of the people in a systematic way in order to produce a theory which could serve as a guide to the people in overcoming challenges of life. As theological it surrenders to God who creates and controls human destiny. As philosophical it analyses the people to be led by utilizing their languages and actions as standpoint for reflections in order to answer a universal question which binds humanity.
Nevertheless, this book is an eye opener to the world that human leadership is a science of the people which must not be taken for granted and every individual is relevant for the leader in realizing his or her goals. It therefore implies that leadership is a service to the people through personal donation in order to situate oneself to the condition of the people. The Book; “Understanding Humanity a Key to Successful Leadership” is a guide towards a successful leadership in human society.

The results of these studies is that genetics plays a much greater role than thought and what is expressed in your article. Children are not born with a "tabula rasa." They are born with a survival set of instructions from their natural parents whether they grow up in the family or not.
