I would call this fantasy fiction, not science fiction. While all creatures possess some intelligence, only the great apes and humans possess the intelligence to reshape their environment for their benefit.
It appears from what I read that you are trying to develop some kind of allegory or satire using the Earth's long geological history to create a fantasy world in the past that never existed but somehow exists in your creative mind.
