A great letter from a real fan. I certainly hope he reads it, and better yet, responds. Unfortunately I don't read very much, so my only experience with John Grisham is through films of his books. I didn't even know about his sports connection, but then, I don't follow sports except to watch an occasional movie. On cruises, it seemed like every reader was carrying a John Grisham book.
I just attended a symposium on going to the stars within the next hundred years where many other authors were in attendance, some famous. Most were very eager to talk to me about their work.
Fortunately, I will have an opportunity to meet Larry McMurtry next month at a fundraiser. I certainly admire some of his work, particularly, Lonesome Dove.
