The brain is a powerful mechanism allowing humans to think critically. Belief is something that is cultural and generally comes from indoctrination from the time a child is born into that culture. It appears from your writing that you have strong indoctrination in Christianity. If you had been born in another culture you would probably have an equally strong belief in the tenets of that culture's religion. You are a strong follower of the status quo.
To think critically (and use your brain to its fullest) breaks you free from the indoctrination of your culture and allows you to critically examine other cultures, religions, and mores. More and more people are using their brains and learning that the lockstep dogma they were brought up in doesn't fit logical thinking.
Christian fanaticism is whole brainwashing.

If Eve is a woman (in the mythical sense), then she has left a legacy where a woman is constantly suffering from evils not of her making, but of the maker of the book, man.
I certainly hope that women will be able to get out from under the yoke of men who have used their superior strength to subjugate women throughout history and even today when we are much more enlightened than when we opened the book of good and evil over 2000 years ago.
