A very interesting and educational short book. I loved the storyline and learned about the creation of WASP (women airforce service pilots) in September of 1942. The story is about a deceased WASP, Annie's great grandmother, and her history with the Grumman company as a WASP. Annie didn't know much about her family history until a note written by her great grandmother is found in the wreckage of an Avenger airplane that may have been the product of sabotage. Once Annie's mother is notified by NCIS about this note, the plot becomes a mystery and Annie and Ty, her boyfriend, vow to solve it. Tracking every lead available and with the help from Annie's family, the mystery is solved, new friends are made and family bonds are tightened.
My only regret, the book was to short. I would love for the author to do a continuation of the storyline or start a series about Annie and Ty. Perhaps a story could be done filling the reader in on the story about Fire Island. I would enjoy that!
The writing style of Linda Maria Frank is easy-flowing and down-to-earth; very pleasant. I really enjoyed 'The Mystery of the Lost Avenger' and look forward to reading additional works by Linda Maria Frank. This is a fun, light-hearted mystery that is an easy-read. I recommend you check this one out. A definite thumbs-up!!!

This was the first time reading anything from Linda Maria Frank. I found it enjoyable, entertaining and intriguing. I may have to add her to my favorites list.

It's hard to believe farming for flowers in the city. But your family did it and still does from what I read.
Makes me wonder why New York City has its great flower show in March? When all of the flowers need to be imported. And Pasadena as its rose parade in midwinter for most of the country where flowers also have to be imported except winter.
Our chrysanthemums are the hardiest of our perennials. We have a bumper bloom right now here in hot Houston. We have only had pansies during the winter. But we have an exotic Lily out front that freezes, but comes back to boom even more during the summer.
I agree that gardening is very hard work. Why I did a minimum of it when I could.

Sounds like Mom and Dad and Maxine have all gone to a better place. Your story is a nice tribute to all of them. Well done!
