I must say I enjoyed your philosophical meanderings and am a bit envious of your chosen lifestyle. After my surgically induced injury I spent the next nine months meditating about my life and it really helped shape who I am.
My wanderlust has always been intense and I, fortunately, was able to travel around the world carrying two bags and staying in the homes of the relatives of foreign students that I had befriended in school. From those travels, my writing has been immensely improved because I can write from first-hand knowledge of people and places.
Unfortunately, my physical condition (paralyzed for 50 years, quadriplegic for 20) has made travel very restrictive and expensive. I have enough wherewithal to do what you're doing if I was physically able to. So I'm doing my introspection and writing from this little suburban enclave, sometimes going more than a week without venturing out of my house, but fully engaged in my writing and creating stuff that others like.
You are very fortunate not to be in forced homelessness like so many I've seen there on the streets, but have the wherewithal to be homeless wherever you want. That gives you the freedom that most don't have… tied to their jobs, relationships, and other obligations so mindlessly pursued.
