I need to find that room. I am undergoing something similar. Guitar playing inside to late at night, dogs outside barking most of the night, people coming and going all day and night. In between silent spells, I might get a wink of sleep and some peace. I understand the store so well. The earplugs I push deep into my ears brings some comfort. I enjoyed your story, keep up the fine writing.

I assume this was a true story. It certainly was an intense situation. I would like to know more about the person who had the wherewithal to cover himself with a wet blanket and come to your assistance.
I would encourage you to have someone edit the story before you wish to publish it.

Not in our family. I just got through talking to my tenant about how my mother has consistently refused help that she desperately needs while claiming that she is lonely. She is having a very hard time leaving the independence she has always had up until three mini strokes a year and a half ago set her life on a different course that she's still quite unable to accept. My three brothers and sister are right there to help as soon as she decides. Unfortunately, we may have to decide for her, because it's her own unwillingness to accept our help that gets in the way of her being happier.
By the way, four of us are far-flung, three over 500 miles away, making it difficult to see her all the time. If she moved in with any of us (she could), she would leave what few friends she still has and the other siblings would find it difficult (like I do) to get to see her.
