That certainly was an interesting morning. Also interesting how Edna and you viewed the same thing so differently. It really doesn't help any to panic in a situation where you only have to wait. But some people have little patience and I guess you are one of them with your morning regimen all laid out to follow so you feel secure in the big city.

A combination of too much testosterone and drink, I imagine. I understand why you were embarrassed by your husband's behavior. And the punctuation of seeing that steak hanging from the tree must have been either more humiliating or downright funny. I prefer the latter.

They say laughter is the best medicine. I'm glad you found someone to share the grief and the laughter with as well. Being alone with grief makes it more difficult. Not being able to find humor in such a comical situation would be a sad note! I enjoyed your story. It gave me my chuckle for the day.
