The Messenger- The Wheel of Recurrence (7) (Short Story) - 11/3/2022 8:33:22 PM
"You painted a damn well dramatic scene, too" quarter of the way into the story I recognized it, why your "art" imitates life. I notice these "things." Well-placed themes here that branch off into other little jolts that "carry so much power, control, and conviction." Your dialogue is really outstanding for it is what tells the story. Love your characters, you have fleshed them out brilliantly, and I can really see this series in a VR 3-D format. It would entertain many fans of this fantasy genre. It really pushes the "envelope" where it should, in all the right places. I love the pacing and always the last few paragraphs of this series leaving me pondering the meat of the story in totality.

The Messenger- The Dweller (6) (Short Story) - 10/27/2022 11:50:27 AM
The messenger unfolds. Bloody and engaging, an extreme when stories aren't just stories; cryptic, flipped genders, and ... dangerously graphic! Another saw it. What a film! Horrific, and apropos to the genre!

monotony of life (Short Story) - 10/3/2022 12:07:04 PM
Yes, two tedious lives and a peak at what life is like for enterprising businesswomen in the Philippines making a living as best they can without a man to provide anything for them. People need to read this to get a better understanding of what most of the people in the world do every day with little let up until they die. Living tedious, boring lives.
My partner is like that. Now that I am growing older and no longer leaving the house, my routine has become very routine, and as my caregiver, boring and something she cannot get out of. I have provided well for her and hope that I leave soon so that while she is still healthy she can travel and do some of the things she wishes to do, like returned to Vietnam for a while, but she can't when I need her every day.
Worse, my tenant, Editha (her real name) has worked the same factory job for close to 30 years. And leads a very routine and boring life as she provides for an uncaring family back home in the Philippines who are living off her like her ex-husband did. This tedious life has left her, while still beautiful, quite uninteresting to those she has met and dated online angry and caught like in a trap. I try to counsel her, but I can't do any real help. She has to break the routine herself.

monotony of life (Short Story) - 10/3/2022 3:08:35 AM
A beautiful story rendered through glimpsing the lives of two hardworking women. Editha got it right by adapting the perspective of focusing on the highlights.
Khaki's Stunt (Short Story) - 9/22/2022 9:55:31 AM
That was terrifying for you. So glad it worked out. Those were some plump puppies! Overfeeding dogs is not good. Strange, while your description of each of them was very good, when I got to the last one, it didn't match?
Khaki is one lucky mother and so happy to have a loving owner.

The Messenger- The Faint Signal (2) (Short Story) - 8/26/2022 11:57:11 AM
Paranormal, you traveled outside your human energy field and you give us a psychic force to deliver a message. There are always those "looking" for us and we are always "looking" for "them," otherworldly ancestors. This piece fits the definition of parapsychology and events related to phenomena beyond the scope of understanding for most. Telepathic communication is sometimes blocked until astral projection/astral travel intercedes when consciousness functions separately from the physical body and travels throughout the astral plane. I found this and its accompanying piece to be a delightful read and expansion of your mind.

The Messenger (Short Story) - 8/20/2022 4:05:20 AM
A beautiful, soulful story which gives the reader a glimpse of spiritual messengers at work.
The Messenger (Short Story) - 8/19/2022 5:19:18 PM
A great story of Fantasy, Audrine! I always like to read stories of Fantasy which broaden our minds and imaginations. I like it when you have created this character, "The Messenger", to send our souls from one life to another. This Messenger may keep himself busy from now on and may open up for more stories to follow.
It is said that our souls do wander for eternity. Coming to earth is just a stopover. When our human bodies get old and expire, our souls will leave and continue to travel in the universe until the next stop. It could be on another planet in another galaxy where living beings do not look like the human beings on earth at all. We could be a living plant being or some other living creatures that don't even need oxygen to survive. Just because we live in this world and call ourselves Human Beings does not mean other living beings on other planets or galaxies would look like us.
There may even be living beings on Mars already. We won't know until we get there.
Great story! I enjoyed this!

It is so refreshing to read your words that transform the simple pleasures of life into bursts of energy wrapped in a thousand years of living, and seeing, and doing as only a gifted poet can make the transformation. Oh, you have still got it, audrine, and I am still your #1 fan.

It's good to see you posting again. That's an interesting word. I find myself outside soaking in midday sun. "Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun." For a few minutes every day because it takes quite a while for my skin to darken and toughen to take the direct sun very long. I wish I could use the sunrise and sunset like your poem suggests.

I had to laugh out loud, Audrine, with you opening. My sentiments, exactly. I don't like to fish (unlike my brother), but welcome the atmosphere that fishing on a lake or pond provides. Enjoyed your write and ditto what Odin wrote.
Mitochondriac (Poetry) - 6/22/2024 6:42:18 AM
A peaceful bit of wordsmithing here. I found myself fully enveloped in your descriptions and, at the same time, melancholy. I've spent so many morning sunrises and afternoon sunsets that your words took me through a multitude of remembered experiences at the shore. If only writers like you could be read by those who need it more. But, that would require they abandon their SM habit and spend some real worthwhile time with some unencumbered self-assessment. Keep writing. Enjoy your work.

I am, therefore I exist. I have no need for any other entity except my parents for why I exist. I am the reason the world around me is the way it is and I can choose how I interact with it because I am an intelligent being.
I believe it's quite dangerous to allow some other entity, earthly or unearthly, to determine what path we take.

My interpretation of this reveal for understanding is such a naked plea for self-help I've not read before. No one but the self can solve the pain you are dealing with... at least that is how my Zen belief counsels me. Allow the inner voice of truth to prevail, for hoping the outside or another's input will help is often a dead end. To drive your being in a constructive healing is relying on your authentic self to instinctively discover the answer. It is there. Just trust.

So true about the way things are. We all have to play many roles. Some appreciated by others and some detested. Good friends and fair-weather friends come and go. So it is best not to dwell on the negative and bid them all, so long, until they come back, forgiven.

hidden force (Poetry) - 12/6/2022 4:27:58 PM
This is a very thought-provoking poem. It reminds me of various disciplines I have explored, each one teaching me the beliefs each held. While, all the while, within myself, I knew the truth and no one, not any teacher or guru or class, could tell me what I needed to know. Do we need recognition for what we know within ourselves? Do we need to write a book about it, so everyone knows how smart we are? It is amazing in itself without shouting it from the mountaintop or becoming another guru. That's what your poem reminds me of. Thank you!

I am utterly in all of your perception in this ongoing dialogue with life as you see it, eye to eye with me as I spontaneously dance and sing, trying not to be off key as I forget and ad lib lyrics I have forgotten. Unlike you, I find that my sanity is fine and that reverting to my childhood like those coming down the line is a good thing, keeping me in touch with the present and not the past.
Thank you for a wonderful offering to read this morning.

practical application of the law (Poetry) - 11/25/2022 6:12:52 PM
Imagination cannot be denied in the grand scheme of things dear Audrine. Although the logic and the heart play its part, the imagination is the vehicle that loosens our very soul. Thank you for sharing such a deep insightful poem, I can feel the strength of your soul in this one, amazing write!
practical application of the law (Poetry) - 11/24/2022 9:52:19 AM
I especially like the line, "and one does really have their feet washed thoroughly clean of the leaves that are not serving."
If we have to rationalize, the law is not working in our favor and we need to change it. But peaceful protest is far better than violent uprising to change the law.

THE WORLD OF POETS IS VAST. AND IT IS COMPRISED OF MANY DIFFERENT POETS CALLED FOR MANY DIFFERENT TASKS, INFLUENCED BY MANY DIFFERENT MUSE. THAT SAID, I CAN ONLY SPEAK FROM MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AS, PRIMARILY, AN INSPIRATIONAL POET. SO THEN, WHEN AN INSPIRATION COMES FROM THE MUSE TO A POET, IT IS MEANT FOR THAT POET, FIRST. IT IS A BENEFICIAL MESSAGE THAT THE POET NEEDS AND IT IS RECEIVED AS SUCH BY THE POET. THE POET THEN...SHARES WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN GIVEN IN THE HOPES THAT THE MESSAGE IS A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION TO OTHERS ALSO. THE POET IS MERELY A VESSEL WHO MUST WAIT FOR THE INSPIRATION FROM THE MUSE, WHO THANKFULLY... NEVER FAILS TO COME. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

I DON'T BELIEVE THAT ANY HUMAN BEING, INDEED EVEN GIFTED VESSELS THEMSELVES, CAN STOP WHAT GOD HAS ORDAINED. GOD, WHO SEES THE BEGINNING AND THE END OF EVERYTHING, 'NEVER MAKES A MISTAKE'. THE GIFT(SPARK) HE PLACES WITHIN A CHOSEN VESSEL CANNOT BE HELD CAPTIVE...BUT IS BEING USED TO THE CAPACITY THAT 'GOD WOULD HAVE IT USED' AT ALL TIMES. FOR, IN THE END, ALL THE GLORY AND PRAISE SHOULD GO TO GOD AND GOD ALONE...AND NOT THE VESSEL. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS.

spark (Poetry) - 11/19/2022 7:57:25 AM
So many, early on by their parents and siblings are told that they are not worth anything that carries through when they get in school, being punished rather than rewarded for trying.
Your poem really describes the masses who want to just get along and go along with what those around them are doing without that spark to go out on their own. A very apt word for your poem title. So descriptive and beautifully rendered.
Ron
spark (Poetry) - 11/19/2022 6:59:28 AM
Even though you don't emphasize the tool of material ownership as a primary measuring stick for many, your poem is a special encouragement, an enlightenment of the inner self that cries out to brave the torrents of flood waters coming from those whose power and influence are derived from being something other than who they really are, i.e., establishing themselves as others would have them, not how truth comes from the kind of checklist your poem projects, would find that to be themselves might be more complex, but, for the effort, ownership of that which cannot be bought--a theme for a poem working its way out in my mind--contributes to the real authentic person, the truly wealthy one. You've penned a calm and compassionate reminder that all should read repeatedly.

Some very wise advice in this run through all of the barriers that our minds must overcome in order to be fulfilled in our lives and happy.
I love the golden rule. But physically it is so hard for me to give others what they give me for the little things they do for me like they did when I drove--strangers pumping my gas or changing my flat tire. So I have to be very creative on how I give back based on what I did as a young man, physically capable of lending a hand without asking for money whenever a situation came up. The Boy Scouts called it, good deeds. It is hard sometimes for my verbal advice to be accepted positively, but I don't worry about it. Just trying to be helpful in a suspicious world.

Genetics does seem to have a very good way of copying traits down through the ages. And it certainly is easier to follow than to forge the way. So many fall into that trap and our great followers without a mind of their own. Lots of thoughts crossed my mind while reading your poem with some great conclusions about our lives.

So true and juste advice put in a beautiful poem.
a copy of a copy (Poetry) - 10/27/2022 7:56:19 AM
Indeed, what you write here is so true. If we don't find the original within ourselves and what is unique about us, then we will become merely a copy of a copy of a copy, not a very worthy prospect to go through life.

Bearing of the soul piece of writing. Takes courage to lay it all out there. Such a phrase you've explored: i love you first. A piece of wording that affords multiple interpretations, a challenge I look for in free-form poetry. Well done.
experiment on inner conversations (Poetry) - 10/22/2022 11:47:57 AM
Your encouragement to practice your approach comes to me as something I've had to do several times in my life... the last 10 months in particular. Yes, embrace the negative sometimes, for it begets the positive more often than not.
experiment on inner conversations (Poetry) - 10/22/2022 11:46:10 AM
An interesting conversation and conclusion all wrapped up in one. However, I find that if we are "talking" to ourselves, we may have dual personalities. I think that once in a while about something that I might have done better than the way I did it, but that water is over the dam or under the bridge and I can't retrieve it. But it does tell me what I should do if a similar circumstance comes up in the future. So am I learning from myself. You betcha!

experiment on inner conversations (Poetry) - 10/21/2022 11:02:10 AM
Internal monologue I hear myself talk in my head lo help me achieve peak performance. This piece talks to me, goes to the tune of THE TALKING HEADS song, "Don't Worry About the Government"... lyrics as follows...
I see the clouds that move across the sky
I see the wind that moves the clouds away
It moves the clouds over by the building
I pick the building that I want to live in
I smell the pine trees and the peaches in the woods
I see the pinecones that fall by the highway
That's the highway that goes to the building
I pick the building that I want to live in
I see the states, across this big nation
I see the laws made in Washington, D.C.
I think of the ones I consider my favorites
I think of the people that are working for me
...an Operative's inner voice is most critical to logic and reason. All of these guru types spout the same "talking head nonsense" with their head in the clouds that has nothing to do with true living, and all about ego, to command and hypnotize a global audience...

I think you are on to something here. Yes, it seems the mind is in constant "conversation" with the multiple egos that lie within us, pushing us in conflicting directions. Let's try to converse with that deep inner core who is the true witness of who we and the world are. Yes, as you said at the end, let's see "where this little experiment takes us."

Yes, we should all attempt to understand others and walk in their shoes. I am reminded of a boy in the movie, "The Last Picture Show" who wasn't quite with the program and was and was always sweeping the street. Unfortunately, he was run over by a truck, but that doesn't mean we should give up.

sewn with words (Poetry) - 10/15/2022 8:02:20 AM
The power and beauty of words can definitely do remarkable things, as you nobly suggest in this fine poem. As you wrote, "sewn herself with speech that reflect who she truly is." Indeed, what do poets have but words with heart-felt meaning.
sewn with words (Poetry) - 10/15/2022 7:07:53 AM
The "eye of the storm" gives full meaning to this exploration in 3rd person (3rd person allows for much more identity for your readers and avoids giving the impression of victimization). The stream of individual experiences/images builds for full understanding by the reader of such a person. Few who suffer such rejection because they are particular with their choices ever realize the victory that is there for the realizing... such as your protagonist does here. Well done.

he smiled at me first (Poetry) - 10/14/2022 11:02:46 AM
A great little story poem with a wonderful subject of how babies will sometimes be attracted to something new as though it were familiar and joyful like greeting their parents. Babies seem to have an innate ability to know, simply by looking at someone's face whether it will be pleasant or not.
Enjoyed and wish that I had an opportunity to be seen in that situation, too. A bit jealous?

Dropping a bombshell like those free-roaming chickens that I was notified of that she had to go back home and drop another egg, but the hen would be back resuming her duty without a condom cackle and ready to incubate another and another. what is it about bigamist roosters that keep several hens? While the rooster was preoccupied with mating stray hens, we painted an Amish scene on the canvas in the attic, one that eventually was made into song about the old man down the road. It pays to plan for the future and eating off a nice set of plates. Nice portfolio, baby.

You show here how you can transition a flip of themes to suit the need. I like it. The poem's overall tone and what thoughts and emotions are conveyed, the overall mood and the implicitly of themes. Your themes have been most beneficial in my investigative themes, a powerful form of bringing out what needs be. You showcase the analytical way through your poetry, we readers digging out the messages grounded in a wide range of everyday topics you cue, introspective and pensive, and often clandestine of what's to come. This strophe has a hidden metaphor, so take wing on a plane of telepathy wired on the proboscis sucking up sweet nectar just kissing the tongue in a season of chaos magic. The title 'applause of butterflies' alludes to such a colorful visual and a covert silent screening, me "hearing" the clap of their wings, clustered on the tarmac before the big freeze...

applause of butterflies (Poetry) - 10/9/2022 7:43:53 PM
Such a clever and sometimes hidden use of nature to expound on the everyday plight of man, the form of existence that is supposed to handle it all. But, as you carefully unfold for us, it is a struggle to survive when the heart and mind refuse to sucome. You are a warrior, one that the butterflies will continually applaud. Keep expressing your soul. It is a vital influence on those of us who read your work.

Yes, as you elegantly proffer, one's state of mind is so interrupted by the trivial at times, so bombarded by the inane, and made immune to reality's gift of love and integrity by so much interference. Yes... "...let the petty conversation die...". Keep sharing your thoughts, ideas and perceptions worth reading and remembering.

o dear law, but I already posted a review for it and removed it in secret code and can't repost an addendum, so I will put it appropriately here addressing a town legend. Such a descriptive piece and just so visual, reminds me of Santa busy all night in the snow and cold with his elves hammering and sawing boards for toys.

oh dear law (Poetry) - 10/5/2022 5:05:43 PM
Beneath the surface of this poem, is a cry for understanding. Often it is without compassion. There is more in the subtext than the text is this cry for unconditional love to be felt. Even the metaphoric photo says the same. Has there ever been a spider that was not existed with feelings of isolation and needs to be acknowledged with love, rather than waiting for the destruction of its lair, its only means of nourishment? Without sentient ability, it knows no better. Loved this piece.
town's legend (Poetry) - 10/5/2022 8:47:38 AM
A well-thought-out arrangement of events and images to keep alive the trust and faith of a beleaguered group of communities in need. Well done.
town's legend (Poetry) - 10/4/2022 9:49:00 AM
Very clever and very real. While this seems to be a man who came back as a ghost at night to do work with his tools after he died, he could just be hiding out and being a good Samaritan to work at night when others were not out. Either way, I like the realism and down to earth hard work that it takes to keep things fixed, especially in the hurricane zone.
Ron
the actor (Poetry) - 10/2/2022 9:36:11 AM
Knowing a little bit about the nature of acting, you've covered several of the intimate and private aspects of the art. Perhaps most appropriate, "...as the actor and state attain their harmony started only from assumptions..." If more patrons of acting could understand the dynamics of that sentence, we would not only have more attention paid to creating a stretch for the patrons while being subjected to ideas perhaps beyond their immediate comprehension, thus, more drama about reality, less about bombs, bullets and sex. Don't get me wrong, they are also part of reality, but powers that be, be they corporate, or art house makings, have reached a point of beating acting into our brains. Unfortunately, most of the beatings result in just more beatings with sequel this and sequel that. Yes, there is much forgetfulness in remembering one's " previous self."
the actor (Poetry) - 10/2/2022 9:21:27 AM
Aren't we all actors on a stage where we sometimes forget our lines or lose sight of who we are supposed to be, who we are as the actor in life's plan. Your poem has inspired interesting thoughts. Thank you.
the actor (Poetry) - 10/2/2022 9:14:38 AM
Except for the last few lines I love the way you portrayed "the actor" in this enlightening poem.
While I can act a role (like being a professor in a classroom) very well with compassion and humor and have worn several hats throughout my career, I have always feared going on stage in an acting role for one reason: I do not memorize anything except for a few old songs from my youth and then, not all of the lyrics.
I have a process brain. I look up all information because I don't store it in my head memorized, taking up space and interfering with my thought processes. So I would have a very hard time memorizing my lines and then getting them right unless the role was ad lib or impromptu and that I would be fine because I wouldn't have to worry about getting the lines exactly the way Shakespeare or whoever wrote them wanted me to act.
But your poem had a purpose that was different. I would never embrace the role of memorizing dogma or following without question what others have written.

a tale of two conversations (Poetry) - 9/30/2022 8:27:22 PM
A philosophic delve into lackadaisy "feel sorry for me" attitudes and the beggar's state of mind. This really hits home.
"When you share your last crust of bread with a beggar, you mustn't behave as if you were throwing a bone to a dog. You must give humbly, and thank him for allowing you to have a part in his hunger."
-Giovanni Guareschi
Can the same be said for an emotional beggar?
"When you share your last thought of the day with a beggar, you mustn't behave as if you were tossing a million dollars to a thief. You must give humbly, and thank him for allowing you to have a part in his robbery."
-Sage Sweetwater
This is a brilliant mini-essay with a stark message. Ditto.

we are the world (Poetry) - 9/27/2022 2:02:26 AM
Love the premise and connotation of this. Memory has its events stored in a diary that we all carry about with us. Nothing fixes a thing so intensely in the memory as the wish to forget it, but only after we have called it what it is. The actualization is in self awareness, and it is enough. Coming to terms with the accumulative mind debris of storms surfacing in the present from long ago gives clarity, and clarity gives closure. This piece is a prescription for being mentally healthy. You know the dose, and all is revealed in these lines. Liberating. We are the world.

probabilities and thy mansion (Poetry) - 9/26/2022 9:17:47 AM
The "old man" hasn't entered my mansion, yet. And I'm now confined largely to that mansion. But my thoughts range the entire world and thankfully for the Internet, I have access to almost every corner of this wonderful world, so I'm happy where I'm at and not seeking to go somewhere else anymore. I have roamed this country enough to see both its greatness in both landscape and people. And my small incursions into the greater world shows me that people everywhere are the same as me. Making me also happy to be where I'm at and looking forward to a brighter future.
That's what your poem brings out in me with a high probability.

What a wonderful review about how we are all alike and different at the same time. It's called intelligence and communication. We can't live without both. And you're so right about comparing ourselves to others. discrepancies and distinctions (Poetry) - 9/13/2022 5:45:12 PM
Rarities of the Indigo duo supporting the higher mind on outerspace frequency in company with the moon and stars without codependency in contrast to that of a sinkhole when the ground can't support the land or the ocean floor in a subatomic created sinkhole, (sinking hole) enormous releases of methane, a potent greenhouse gas.
"no matter how
things appear similar
there are always
discrepancies
and distinctions"
Thus, contrary two lines? One has snowed and mimicked under the influence of a Russian wrath snorter, and the Mexican.
Thus Spake Zarathustra
"--A posturing wrath-snorter with waiting, a holy howl-storm from the mountains, an impatient one that shouteth down into the valleys: "Hearken, else I will scourge you with the scourge of God!"
"Not that I would have a grudge against such wrathful ones on that account: they are well enough for laughter to me! Impatient must they now be, those big alarm-drums, which find a voice now or never!"
-Friedrich Nietzsche
The other line authentic and a victim of brandjacking and tomfoolery.
The subatomic and cosmic universes encapsulated, you've written a sexy atom SMasher!

nothing to climb (Poetry) - 9/12/2022 12:42:15 PM
Reads like a manifesto, my love.
Don't get disturbed and buy tranquility instead.
Perceive a wise person as someone who moves through life seemingly unimpeded by the things to a state of harmony with oneself and the world.
In climbing, there is a term used to describe the hardest, most risky move of the challenge, the crux. Moving past the point of retreat the crux, the point of no return.
“I am a wanderer and mountain-climber, said he to his heart, I love not the plains, and it seemeth I cannot long sit still.
And whatever may still overtake me as fate and experience a wandering will be therein, and a mountain-climbing: in the end one experienceth only oneself.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche
Your purposeful poetry gives clear example of the glory of summiting, it is not in discovering God or one’s true self at the top, but in what happened on the way up as you go down!
"that you
are the power
and there is-
nothing to climb."
Manifestors are 9% of the world's population We have access to incredible power which can be turned on suddenly and without warning.
Crux!

nothing to climb (Poetry) - 9/12/2022 9:18:52 AM
An interesting examination of what truly matters, at least for those who remain conscious. Today, far too many are without any such self-examination, and because of that, there is a scattering of energy, like a population of balloons with the air rush out, sending everyone helter-skelter. Thanks for the reminder.
nothing to climb (Poetry) - 9/12/2022 7:29:02 AM
Perhaps the impulse is to climb without feeling that you are climbing or feeling that you have to climb, knowing that "I am always protected by my Being's light." Yes.
priceless (Poetry) - 9/10/2022 8:59:19 AM
Yes, nothing like a power outage to get people back together, actually communicating with one another again.
But there's another side to it. They used to call it around here, "a shortage." Probably because a transformer shorted out. And I saw people in the streets. Jobless and just wandering around. Gambling but not chess. Sweating in the streets and waiting for something, anything, to come along and kill the boredom like a fight. so that gossip could begin again
Power outages do give me time to read the old-fashioned way while the sun shines and more sleep when it doesn't. For most of my life I have been a loner, so I don't engage in gossip on my phone or on the Internet.

Scripted black glove poetry darling! Flipping the switch. Power generates chaos magic! Your birthday hasn't come yet, a little early. I have your present wrapped when the day comes! Priceless! Look under the bed! Zodiac and electricity equals sexual chemistry!

So true Little Sis. I was having a conversation about this subject today. We have forgotten how to have a real conversation. Write On.

Yes, an interruption such as a blackout has a volume of worth to anyone who has become entrenched in the digital age to the point of 'Digitism", the malaise of the age. So many have forgotten the rewards of person-to-person, eye contact, and conversation. Thanks for the reminder of what we need to keep in contact with.

tiny fertile garden (Poetry) - 9/6/2022 9:45:18 AM
A beautiful garden of the mind laid out in poetic form as a stream of enlightened consciousness that spreads ripples of insight out into the world.
tiny fertile garden (Poetry) - 9/6/2022 8:19:34 AM
Yes, much can come from a fertile mind that frees itself from prejudice and blockage of any kind. To be free to think like nature does when the time is right for the blooming of spring and the harvest of the fall.
When we put our minds to making profit and destroying nature in the process, we are small minded.

~Sativa Wishes and Indica Dreams~
The abundance disperses with the autumn wind the seeds of change. Invest wise, darling! This is a seasonal tour de force, your lyrical poetic voice upends the prior matrix. This piece raises the bar. IMO, a hybrid juxtaposed visual of The Garden of Eden and Chariots of Fire ensconced through your words.
"does a dove
hold the key to reprogram"
Absolutely! These two lines are attuned to Christianity which emerged out of Judaism by the way, out of a paradigm shift. Major changes coming in how people think and get things done through the principle of paradigm shift that challenges the status quo, or some revolutionary innovation or discovery. We visionaries hold the key to reprogram, so with a bit of shapeshifting, the World turns like the yesteryear soap opera drama As the World Turns, Wings giving us the freedom to fly untethered in our mind, body, and soul, and all controversies. I say it thrice, a mantra, what you said,
"while carrying the torch
of your life's
grand plan"
"while carrying the torch
of your life's
grand plan"
"while carrying the torch
of your life's
grand plan"

A lot said about thinking positively about everything and expecting the unexpected pop up in a positive, beautiful way. Sounds like a life coach giving advice to someone with an inferiority complex.
BTW, weeds have some of the most beautiful wildflowers anywhere. Wisdom comes from appreciating that and not trying to kill all of them with Roundup.

The images you invoke in this lovely poem serve your purpose well, encouraging us to see beyond the surface of ourselves well into the interior where knowledge and light reside. Well done.

Constructed similar to a poetry surveillance survival guide and social media promotion. During the twentieth century, the FBI closely monitored poets, read their work, and speculated about their political and artistic intentions. American surveillance agencies even hired people with backgrounds in poetry to be spies and code breakers because of their skills in close reading, language analysis and critical thinking. Surveillance poetry is now privatized, commercialized and increasingly participatory. Poetry helps us understand the machinations of surveillance all powerful, coded lines here, I see the bluebonnets of Texas and the horses of our youth.
"let the flowers
spring from your depths
awaken the state
where the horses run wild"
rise in consciousness has the poetic flavor of intelligence-based social hierarchy and surveillance. I enjoyed the analysis and digital genius scribed herein.

Those have completely missed the point, and I think Sri Aurobindo has said the wisdom in correlation to your poetry here. You have powers that go beyond mediocrity, Gina, powers that soar spatial real estate unencumbered by mind tax. You know your identity well. We should all have such a grasp on who we really are on this plane of life and above as you do. An intellectual poet, an intellectual read. Enjoyed this engaging syntax, the arrangement of your words have great meaning. Bliss of Identity, indeed.

Bliss of Identity by Sri Aurobindo
All Nature is taught in radiant ways to move,
All beings are in myself embraced.
O fiery boundless Heart of joy and love,
How art thou beating in a mortal’s breast !
It is Thy rapture flaming through my nerves
And all my cells and atoms thrill with Thee ;
My body thy vessel is and only serves
As a living wine-cup of Thy ecstasy.
I am a centre of Thy golden light
And I its vast and vague circumference,
Thou art my soul great, luminous and white
And Thine my mind and will and glowing sense.
Thy spirit’s infinite breath I feel in me;
My life is a throb of Thy eternity.

Interesting how you have turned your insights about anger into a narrative such as this. A hopeful, positive, insightful poem, in spite of the anger.
a good deal (Poetry) - 8/30/2022 10:41:59 AM
It is interesting how perception is in the mind of the beholder. We do tend to get a bit more grumpy when we get older. Perhaps it is just the frustration of not being that free, unencumbered soul we once were before life came to visit.
I like how you contrasted feeling good with feeling bad.

If only more would address their inner demons of deceit and disguise the way this wordplay does, perhaps we'd have more dancing, rather than traveling at the ethereal, as if answers come from without, ignoring all solutions are, as your poem eloquently proffers, from within. Write on.

WELL...WE ALL SIN. AND THAT'S JUST THE BOTTOM LINE. EACH AND EVERY DAY IN THOUGHT, WORD, ACTON OR DEED...WE COME SHORT. BUT, THANK GOD, WE HAVE A REDEEMER WHO SEES IT ALL AND HAS MADE A WAY FOR THE REPAIR. SO, RECOGNIZING THAT THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SAVED AND THE UNSAVED IS; THE SAVED HAVE BEEN ENDOWED WITH A LEVEL OF CONSCIOUSNESS THAT WILL NOT TOLERATE SIN AND LEADS THE BELIEVER TO PRAY AND REPENT ASKING FOR GOD'S FORGIVENESS, AND FOR THE STRENGTH TO OVERCOME WEAKNESSES. WHILE, HOWEVER THE UNSAVED, HAVING NO CONSCIENCE CONTINUES TO SIN AND THEREFORE IS LOST. IN THE END IT IS GOD THAT SEES WHAT OTHERS CANNOT SEE, THAT IS... THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF ALL AND IT IS HE WHO WILL DO THE HARVESTING/GATHERING AT THE JUDGEMENT. THANK GOD FOR THE BLOOD OF CALVARY THAT COVERS ALL SURRENDERED FOLLOWERS OF THE ONE TRUE AND LIVING GOD...I PRAY THAT WE ALL MAKE IT, IN JESUS NAME. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS
