Goodness me! This must be the piece de resistance of come-uppance and own-back-gettin, Linda! The "victim" here must have previously inflicted some sort of dire emotional wounding in order to have engendered such a love/hate ambivalence in the perpetress... this is so well-written and had me hanging on the end of every line. Now I just want to grab his lapels and shout "Wake up!"... but maybe the real toast is to the fact that he doesn't! If this toast is to personal liberation from the release of some evil tyranny, then Cheers! LOL Kate xx

A good glass of wine chilled just right does wonders for you. A nice write here. And this reminds me of the lady in Green Bay, Virginia who had a knack of getting rid of the nonpaying customers and generally bad ass men. Not too many people wanted to piss her off either.

I have read that one of the keys to effective writing is to capture your readers attention with your opening sentence. Well you have certainly achieved much more than that with this creative and fascinating poem. You enable your readers to ride on an emotional roller coaster ride experiencing the haunting frustration and inner wrath that seeks its remedy.

The lines flow remarkably well up until the very last one, which I would consider reading carefully, something seems grammatically...wrong. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. This is a strong and powerful poem that many of us can say- been there done that- which is really a sad thing.
The part where you asked, is there something I did to deserve this? NO, it wasn't you, it was some idiot who doesn't respect himself or life. The main part of your healing is to realize it wasn't your fault. Keep letting it all out with your writing and the healing will come.

I can feel your pain in your heart. So your words are very meaningful.
Try to have faith enough to let go of the pain, and especially the anger. I know from experience that anger can make you ill. Let those words flow and once you let it go, you will make room for love and kindness to come in to your life. It will be much sooner than you think.
