Thanks so much for sharing this.
I have great appreciation for the art of stand up, and great memories of watching David Brenner with my parents. Laughter really kept us together in good old fashioned family time.
I certainly feel as David mentions- the bar has been dropped to the floor and wit has been replaced with hostility- I hear everybody laughing, but I don't get it now.

Thanks for revealing a side of David Brenner I didn't know existed. His film director producer side. I certainly enjoyed every time I've seen him on television. I don't remember any movies that he may have been in. But I do consider Brenner as one of the all-time comics along with so many others I remember. I'm surprised that he didn't include geniuses like Eddie Murphy, Sid Caesar, Robin Williams and Chris Rock. But then they probably just slipped his mind, there are so many good ones out there in so many that have passed on.
