I didn't read the entire story, but scanned it, because I don't find fantasy pirate tales very interesting. I think that a good historical fiction story with true pirates is something that I enjoy much better than a female version of Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean, ad nausea.
Your story is well written with action and dialogue, and appears to be part of a larger novel because of the way it ends. I did find that you probably use a voice system like I do because there were several words that were incorrect but I could substitute the correct words quite easily.
