Your article has some good points to remember. Most people seem to be afraid of developing their own websites and would rather rely on others, either templates or experts, just like income taxes, to do them. Many people even think that an account here at AD or Facebook is their website. That is probably why Facebook is so popular.
My first website was using a template offered by the service provider. I soon found that very confining when trying to update my home page. So, I learned a little HTML, started cranking out pages, and created my own home page. Following Apple's example I use a lot of white space and a simple layout that works for me. I'm constantly getting emails from experts who claim that they can draw more people to my website, but I'm already doing all the right things. Changing my website around like rearranging my living room (haven't done that in 20 years) may be a satisfying activity but not very productive.

I am a Wordpress blog-site holder myself and I can definitely concur with your comments. The Wordpress platform does indeed give the site owner a big advantage over other platforms on website development. I am definitely pleased with my website: www.themythicalemblems.com, especially the reviews by visitors of the various pages on the site.

While your article borders on the commercial, I will give you your due for now. Your article is very well written and tailored to, perhaps, a conference among those interested in developing websites. The problem is, and often is with targeted articles like this, the use of jargon intrinsic to the field leaves the average reader befuddled and without a clue about what you are claiming is "easy" and intuitive. You will need to describe technical terms in plain English if you're going to have the average person interested in developing a website understand how your plug-ins work.
I have my own website and have refrained from using "plug-ins" or templates by others. Perhaps this has made my website less competitive or attractive to those who work diligently to make their website shine or have characteristics that wow anyone viewing, but my website is purely informational about me and my literary and other work.
