We are all familiar with many kinds of tales since childhood. Their attractiveness is in the plot, mystery, and fantasy. The tales of Tygo Lee are an inexhaustible and irreplaceable source that develops positive traits, gives a boost to creativity, and can help us to think about important issues in our lives.
After finishing Epic Tales, it was awesome to discover the book Epic Tales 2 from the same author. This one was even more involving and I could not put it down!
Epic Tales 2 is an unexpected, very original collection of tales for everyone. It portrays stubbornness sarcastically and ridicules intolerance while teaching positive ways of thinking, wisdom, and maturity. And it does all of this with the help of very well-developed feline and other animal characters, including even plants.
In brief, it’s a whole new view for those who like to be engrossed in narrative, good humor, and sharp writing.

Imagine that someday your cat will sit down at a laptop and not write something there like “asdfghjkl”, but a real book. Well, that’s not possible for now, so writers act on behalf of cats.
In his book, Tygo Lee tells us stories about cat history, their perceptions of the world, and unique feline abilities and characteristics.
The world of cats exists on the pages of Mewzings parallel to how us human - animals think and feel at times. And our two worlds are constantly interacting and projecting onto each other as we share our lives together.
The cat’s view of the world here is so unbiased and clean, and the author succeeded greatly in communicating his declaration of love for the whole cat family.

Very special stories told by Freddy the Cat are a pure source of insight. Although these many short tales are ‘all about cats,’ they also are incredibly close to our own real lives. And most importantly, they clearly and vividly illustrate what we usually lose sight of in a series of their everyday routines. By reading this book, you will remind yourself that it is in your power to create and change your life the way you want it to be.
The author managed to fill the book with originality, kindness, and interesting details about the cat's life. A real page-turner!

How fortunate that Epic Tales has a sequel. Tygo Lee gave me one more opportunity to enjoy the incredible adventures of Benny the Bold.
Like the first book, Epic Tales 2 successfully conveys the intriguing spirit of the Middle Ages, with deep forests full of strange creatures, castles, battles, and glorious victories. The fact that the main characters of the book are cats gives the tales a unique charm and atmosphere.
The author made it possible for us to feel like a part of the felines’ lives, with their traditions, culture, and history. Surprisingly, you can easily catch a glimpse of the modern world and its challenges, plunging into the adventures of the Feline Kingdom’s inhabitants.
There is definitely a magical power to this book!

Although it was clear from the title that the book would be about cats, both the content and the manner of presentation were a complete surprise. It is so unusual to experience the cat world through the words of one of its furry, little representatives.
Captivating facts from the cat’s mythology and history, interesting details of their food preferences and warrior night vision, lofty phrases on the lifeline clock, and even day and night personalities – this is just a small part of what I got acquainted with on the pages of this truly enjoyable compilation of stories from Tygo Lee.
Read on and take your time exploring the wide range оf stories told by the narrator, Freddy the Cat.

A cat has always been a favorite character in fairy tales in many different countries. Using magic, talking cats have stood out and are a very special group for storytelling. And when it comes to real animals, even without any supernatural powers, writers cannot resist giving them human qualities. Cats become the personification of goodness, sobriety, and wisdom, or on the contrary, of cunning and guile.
Furry Fables by Tygo Lee offers us magical stories about cats focused on their actions, character, and their perceptions of the world around them. I bet most anyone will find some familiar characteristics and behavior patterns to remind them of friends, acquaintances, or even they themselves.
I would call Tygo's tales in this book a “magical realism.” With the help of dreamlike stories, the author shares with us invaluable life experiences through the development of his imaginary furry friends, such as Mr. Wise Cat, Sticky Cat, the little kitty named Questioner, and many others.

You could read a lot of books about cats by many writers, but their collected knowledge would probably not help you fully comprehend where these graceful animals came from, what they want from you, how they see the world around them, and what they think.
In many places nowadays, people not only perceive cats as a domestic animal with a set of instincts, but as a real friend who gives us their love. This is a completely different level of relationship between humans and animals, and that is why Tygo Lee's book, which reveals the secrets of understanding them in a fascinating and interesting way, should be a real surprise for cat lovers.
All About Cats, an entertaining compilation of tales, offers you not only the most important aspects of cats' behavior, but also the subtle nuances of their psychology and worldview in the form of the first-person narration from Freddy the Cat.
A unique and well-written book, the best I've read about pets.

Slumberland is such a delight! Specifically, this book is a unique alternative for using your imagination. Why? Well, this is a place where dreams and reality get all mixed up, like when an adult can travel back to his childhood, or when he can understand the languages of birds, animals, and plants.
Not only is Tygo Lee the main character of every story, but he shares his strange experiences with readers as they journey through the mysterious Slumberland worlds.
For me, stories from the book resemble colorful candies. If you try one, it will make you want more, tastefully unfolding scenes before your eyes with unusual creatures. It can be a huge, hairy monster, a talking bush, or even a magic spirit from Slumberland itself!
Definitely, a must-read. Sweet dreams!

Welcome to the fantasy world of Tygo Lee, filled with dreams, enchanted places, and new friends!
Though the book is about dreams, I’ve never come across something more realistic before! This was an enlightening and enjoyable read! The stories are written somewhat like fairy tales, and will surely be of a great interest for both kids and adults!
Slumberland is written in an easy-to-follow style. It is light-hearted, serious, and funny all at the same time. One moment, I was laughing about Tygo trying to avoid being fried up as a snack in Getting Ogre You, and later, I was deeply reflecting on his encounter with Sairah in the concluding and rather mystical tale of Slumberland!
Thank you, Tygo Lee, for providing me with such a wonderful opportunity to undertake an amazing journey into the land of dreams, which curiously has so much in common with life itself. I highly recommend this book to everyone!

Tygo Lee must love cats a lot!
This book has around 50 flowing chapters—each one being a short story narrated by Freddy the Cat. Yes, Freddy himself gives us a huge amount of fun details and sound advice about so many different topics related to his own species. Who better than a cat to teach us about cats!
As promised, All About Cats is both entertaining and educational, with a touch of humor thrown in everywhere. I really liked the history part when cats were worshiped in Ancient Egypt. Very cool!
This seems like a great read for teenagers as well as adults, and could be a story time book for young children too. Enjoy!

I don’t read a lot of fantasy books even though I love these kinds of stories. Seeing Tygo Lee’s bio, I had the feeling this might not be the typical read. I was right!
It doesn’t include all the blood-and-guts, sexual encounters, evil monsters and other things that are so common nowadays while some guys like me are into the more traditional fantasy. These were basically some very cool tales about this big, happy-go-lucky jack rabbit who meets up with a stressed-out lady, a really sweet little dragon girl who wouldn’t accept all the “you should or shouldn’t” things from the older, conservative dragons, and among others, my favorite, a super arrogant little boy name Payton who got put in his place by this old bayou spirit. Great!
And every story encouraged me to find my own personal message that could maybe help me live a little better in the years ahead. That’s the way fairy tales are supposed to be, isn’t it? Good fantasy, Tygo!

Is it a dream, or is it real? That’s what Tygo Lee asks himself again and again in the seven fantasy stories as he slips into Slumberland in his dreams—sometimes as himself, and other times as a bird, jungle explorer, or a little kid.
What adventures he has, anywhere from the very scary (he finds himself in an Ogre’s frying pan) to delightfully funny (he needs to “play house” as Tygo the kid with the neighbor girl Katy and is rather disgusted about that). In the end, he has an encounter with his “dream director” who—well, I won’t tell you so as to not ruin the surprise here—but she insists that he try to think about what he has learned from each of his surreal (or real?) adventures.
This is really an interesting and thought-provoking book to read, something like I had never come across before that dealt with the topic of dreams. Tygo managed to do this in an amusing way that made me myself wonder—have I been dreaming, were these alternative realities of mine, are my dreams my true reality, or…? I’ll leave the answer up to you when you pleasantly make your way through this rather incredible book.

There are a huge number of fairy tales in this world. However, reading book after book, you have probably already noticed that some stories are surprisingly reminiscent of each other. Fairy tales, as a rule, have similar elements in the thread of their narrative. But Tygo Lee, using these literary building blocks, has created something special, unlike anything else I’ve encountered before.
To write fairy tales, you must have a special gift. This gift embraces a rich imagination and the ability to dream. Tales are not only capable of lulling children, but also educate, develop, and even sooth one’s soul at times.
On the pages of Fantasy Worlds, the author introduces readers to his wonderful scenarios full of mysteries and miracles. This magical universe is so vivid that we imperceptibly immerse ourselves into it, becoming participants in the adventures, trials, and victories of the heroes.

It is not a secret that cats and books are quite a popular tandem. Cats have always lived in the oldest libraries of the world and there are quite a lot of books about cats, Furry Fables being an exceptional one.
Bright, original, witty tales from Tygo Lee are a fascinating encyclopedia of cat habits, talents, and lifestyles.
This is a book for any age. The characters of the narrative are so special: the kind and amusing Spooky the Cat, the dreamer Snoozer, the sweet, little kitty Calamity, and many more.
These fables can be very easy to read and are written sincerely and very warmly. To a certain extent, the text itself of Furry Fables is reminiscent of a cute cat who snuggled up comfortably on your legs, purring the whole time while you to enjoy the book to the very last page.
If you like magical scenarios and cats - this is the publication for you. Surprisingly similar to people and at the same time very special, these unique furry creatures created by Tygo Lee will answer your questions, and even give you very good advice on the pages of these thoughtful stories.

What a joy! I’ve never thought of becoming a fan of cat books, but Mewzings has touched the deepest place in my heart!
Cats seem like quite ordinary animals, but there is something to them, some inexplicable magnetism, causing us to love them. There is something cozy, sweet, warm and friendly about cats, but at the same time, something wild, willful and uncontrollable.
Cats are uniquely magical creatures. If you do not think so, then you’ve just never had a cat, you’ve never heard a soothing purr, and you’ve never seen your cat pawing its ear. After all, it’s pure magic.
Very often we stop noticing magic when we see it every day. It simply becomes ordinary, like coffee in the morning. Thanks to this book of Tygo, this magic has returned into my life. This is the best “talking-cat” book I’ve ever come across!

Did you ever want to learn more about cats? I mean, they’re such wonderful (although sometimes scratchy) creatures, and this is a book dedicated solely to them. Presented by Freddy the Cat, this little guide to felines will give you a pretty good idea of what life on four legs is all about. It’s a light-hearted, fun, and at times emotionally candy-wrapped reading in the author’s easy-flowing narrative.
From the history of cats to the description of their habits, All About Cats really does offer just about everything you’d expect to hear from a cat describing his life. As a cat caretaker, all the chapters struck a chord with me one way or another. For example, you’ll surely like the chapters of how cats adapt to their caretaker’s routine, or how they play around.
So, if you want to “get inside a cat’s head a little,” give this one a shot. If you share your life with a cat or not, I think you’ll enjoy it all the same, and have lots of fun reading it.

Having finished the first book of Epic Tales, I was really glad that I could meet up with my favorite characters again from Tygo Lee’s book in the second part—Epic Tales 2. It’s like meeting dear old friends after parting with them! And there are plenty of such new, fascinating and adorable characters as well!
Like book 1, Epic Tales 2 consists of two fully developed epic fantasy fables, and both are very thought-provoking, with a touch of humor, but deep inside, quite serious and wise. Two challenges of dealing with Bailey the Bad-Breath Bear and the Yapper Poodles this time resulted in no battles at all!
Though the stories tell us about life in the Feline Kingdom and the different challenges cats encounter, everyone will notice the parallel with human society right away. And there are a great variety of characters that are very complex in their own unique ways! As just two examples, there is Benny the Bold, of course, who combines the noblest qualities (dignity and honor), and Miss Bird, with her desire to live in peace.
Benny the Bold is my favorite, with his marvelous doctrine for virtuous living and his ability to solve confrontations without bloodshed. Also, I think we can consider the result of his challenge with the Yapper Poodles a great example of true diplomacy the way it should be.
I love the language of the narrative, with plenty of repetitions and puns to color it as well as a beautiful, enchanting rhythm of an epic tale.
The idea of conquering the most fearsome enemy of any to be found—your own personal misconceptions and prejudices—appealed to me the most! There is also another very valuable one, which is so simple, yet so hard to achieve—we all should be centered on spiritual enhancement rather than materialistic gain. It was such a pleasure to find the support to my own thoughts on the pages of this book!
I would recommend Epic Tales 2 to people of any age and views, with its truly universal values.

It's great to go on another adventure with a favorite character, Benny the Bold yet again on his way, this time to sort out the conflict with Bailey the Bad-Breath Bear and the Yapper Poodles.
What will end the confrontations this time? What awaits Benny on his way to his goal? Whom will he meet and what challenges will he have to go through?
Tygo Lee’s tales are an invaluable source of wisdom and knowledge, answering so many questions we ask ourselves every day.

Cats have long existed in this world, and therefore the characters of the cat family appear in books quite regularly.
The creation of Tygo Lee is unique, giving such an accurate reflection of real life. This is an epic saga about the Feline kingdom and its brave hero who once again established peace, this time using the wonders of diplomacy. He avoided battles and losses and created happy unity with other inhabitants of this magical world.
I wish many of us could have such wisdom and practicality as Benny the Bold has. I benefited from every detail of it. Some of the characters reminded me of my close friends, and even myself sometimes.
Castles, enchanted forests, magical creatures, and ancient legends await you on the pages of Epic Tales 2.

Right after finishing Epic Tales, I started reading Epic Tales 2. I did not want to part with the wonderful and wise character of Benny the Bold, and was eager to get even better acquainted with him.
Having opened Epic Tales 2, I again found myself in the kingdom of feline legends and epics, with its ancient cat-gods and heroes. All this is just a background on which an exciting story of a cat named Benny the Bold is told. And this time he went on a journey full of dangerous adventures with his brave team!
Sometimes, you completely forget that the main characters are cats! The author achieves such an effect by relating the events as if the cats were humans themselves. They possess all the traits of the human character—both strong and weak—and everyone can learn from these feline heroes.
The magical world of adventures captures you from the first lines and does not let go until the last page. Give these extraordinary tales a try!

I love animal books and I'm fond of epic tales and legends, so when they are united in one publication, that's a lucky combination for me! I enjoyed every single page!
The epic battles of the hero, Benny the Bold, with Derek the Doberman and the Avenging Horde of Chihuahuas, will never leave any of you indifferent! Depicted so brightly, it kept me in constant suspense! The characters of the Feline Kingdom are so vivid and very humanlike, indeed. The cool, somewhat medieval-ish atmosphere, elements of fantasy, and my favorite animals made this book a real treasure for me to read!
This is a fresh new approach to writing tales that are enjoyable to read, but have a lot to think about too! Highly recommended!

The author stimulates us to imagine a fantasy world with its heroes who are fighting enemies, finding new friends, and getting involved in all sorts of adventures.
You will learn so much about cats—their inner world and the fears they have, what they love and appreciate, and much more.
Epic Tales is sprinkled with humor that kids will enjoy while offering adults some thought-provoking remarks related to our values and relationships with others. This is the alternative “feline fairy tale reality” that is very similar to, yet so different from the human world.
Like Tygo Lee’s other cat books, he will surprise you with his ability to weave a magical tale that comes alive in your mind!

An interesting article. Unfortunately, I almost didn't read it, because you didn't indicate that we should click on the link to read the "whole" story.
I have made it a point to decide to comment on almost every new book, story, article and poem posted every day here on AD. It takes some time, and I often rush my answer, but find that I get about 90% positive feedback and 10% negative.
By making comments when few or no others do, an author begins to feel that their writing is worthwhile. And it's not necessary to give false praise to make a connection.

A story with a lesson, I really like that. Good reading for young people just before Halloween ghost time.
As I recall, the cookie jar was always under the sink. Not only would we consume vast quantities of too hot to eat supersoft cookies right off the pan, we always were able to raid the cookie jar after coming home from school a couple of hours before mandatory supper. And, we never had lost our appetite for supper by eating cookies.

A good lesson in that it isn't just arithmetic that's hard for some kids to master. I recall my brother had to go to speech class in the fourth grade because he still was affecting baby talk when he spoke. I guess the story is also about how far friends will go to help. I've always been a helpful sort when it came to hard subjects so I taught for a while. I wasn't a good teacher (I'm a much better tutor) but when it got to teaching some courses involving mathematical principles, as a teacher I learned them much easier because I knew I had to present them well to the students.

The article was a bit of smoke and mirrors. Attitudes are hard to change. Attitudes color everything we think about. You are right about little nudges that might cause us to change, but they were tender come from the outside. Like little facts that eventually become overwhelming reality (information on global warming is a good example) and end up unable to be denied. Or a major drastic change like being suddenly immersed among people and their culture that we might hate, only to find out that they are nothing like we thought they were.
No amount of self-analysis In front of the mirror can do that.
