I enjoyed reading this book. Throughout the book, I could sense Steve's drive and his passion, his wonderful command of scripture, and his colorful illustrationsJ. Although, the most fascinating part to me was actually the front end; the chapter titled "My Story" where he discussed the "coincidences" in his ministry.
Steve begins the book with the line "My story is God's story... Because He wrote it for me." I just found this statement to be soulful and prophetic.
Steve's book is magnificent, well thought out, researched, and with a beautiful flow. This is a book that can only be written by a man deeply touched by God and with a "laid down life." One day Steve felt "the earth move under his feet" and Jesus became his "entry point."

I'm not religious at all, but I certainly enjoy the music, particularly at the black churches that I've been to. I found it interesting that many hymns were written with lyrics replacing original barroom songs.
