Hi, Shawn,
I like the deep thoughts in your writing on Poetry. I think my favorite line is "Could emotions leave your body and take on a life like form in words?" Also, "Can poetry store emotions and later share them?"
I have had some people tell me that my poems made them cry, or helped them in some way.
I know, as I write poetry, there is nothing automatic about it...it is feeling, right from my heart. If there is no emotion in a poem, I count it a failure.
I like the way you have made me think and evaluate what poetry is, and is not!

It's hard for most people to grow up, often exasperated by people around who don't understand what's happening. It can be depressing. I was slow to mature physically, but much more mature mentally so I had the upper hand when it came to getting through it quite well. Although nearly never outgrew the pimples. ;-)
