I'm not much for time travel stories since HG Wells wrote the Time Machine and the Terminator series perfected it. But I must say that I found your excerpt quite interesting and appealing, even if a bit far-fetched for two souls to find one another across the chasm of time and geography.
I'm a fan of well-written historical fiction, and you seem to have researched the time period so well that it fits the story like a glove. I commend you for that, because I prefer fact over fiction where appropriate and your plot background does that very well. I would have to read much further to find out if this love story is as great as suggested.
In order to get the paragraphs right so that it is much easier to read, I would suggest that you save the file in Rich Text Format (rtf) before copying and pasting it into the editor… And turning the editor off so that much of your formatting will be preserved.
