Very emotional reading and makes you think of your choices before death. I am glad I will have wings to fly when I leave to be with those that have gone before me to prepare a place with my Lord.
I think about what it took to create the eye, sound, taste, touch, and a plan that is so simple it confounds the wise to make the right choice and I am glad Jesus did this for us to see there is a life other than this earth.
Simply put and beautifully written,

If we didn't have all those words we wouldn't know all their meanings. For example, I had to look up, "riantly," and still didn't understand any deep profound message except that you and I are "not one-of-a-kind."

Interesting wordplay here, almost graphic in its beginning, middle and end, taking us into extremes, then back to, what for this reader, is the obvious message: far too much of the war mindset is playing dodge-ball with futility...the sooner or later endgame where only history wins.

Simple Truths of Men. It's why I never fought against the Vietnam Police Action in the 60 & 70's. What I did Fight Against was The Illegal Draft. This was a Civil Rights Consideration. I believed in fighting against the Excesses of our Flawed Society. Society is built to change. The nature of Men is a more difficult issue. This takes a lifetime to even effect. Which is my job as a Poet.

I recall a meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 1978 where this question was posed by the keynote speaker in his address, God and the Astronomers. His conclusion was that the theory of the Big Bang and the idea of creation were entirely compatible.
To feeble destructive and warlike greedy intelligence like ours, such questions are moot because it really makes no difference who lit the match or even whether the current theory of the gigantic blast is true or not. In the short run we have to use the science we do know the facts of and stop arguing about theories that will probably remain unsolvable for thousands of years. These questions should only be addressed with any conviction by the most intelligent, least greedy, and un-warlike among us.
I love science and discussions of it. I welcome all new theories, proven or not. I don't waste time discussing how many faeries dance of the point of a needle.
