Wow! Once again, Ray Dyson has done it!!! Excellent book. 'The Naked Nymph in the Dark Flickers' is a wonderful sequel to 'The Ice Cream Blonde.' The story is set once again in the world of film and stars. The plots are detailed and very entertaining. You will find love, hate, crime, passion, greed, murder and more provided by very compelling characters that follows twists and turns on every page. I know it is an old saying, 'a book you can't put down,' but it truly is a book you don't want to put down.
Ray Dyson has carried over some of the best characters from 'The Ice Cream Blonde' and continues to follow their lives, successes and failures. If I had to find one fault, it would be, I would have enjoyed more of the 'flowery, poetic speak' from the character 'Harry.'
If you enjoy a good mystery or have a love for the cinema, you will enjoy 'The Naked Nymph in the Dark Flickers.' Wonderful read...

I just finished reading 'The Ice Cream Blonde' by Ray Dyson and I can't recommend it enough. The excellent research into the language, phrases and slang of the time is excellent, (yes, I'll admit I had to look up a few slang words to make certain I understood), but mostly it became obvious if you continued to read the story.
The character descriptions and descriptions of the locations was detailed and spot on. This book has a little bit of everything you could ask for...love, humor, romance, war, parental relationships, murder, greed, drugs, crime and more.
The story flows well even with all the twist and turns it takes. And, I would be remiss if I did not include the hilarious 'Harry' who on occasion checked his own vocabulary, even when he was correct. One of my favorites was him not knowing the difference between a hymn from a hem!
A have already referred the book to a couple of my family members.
