Recent Reviews for Darkest Angel

Dragon Friend (Short Story) - 3/16/2017 1:35:23 PM
I have to say that I agree with you on this, but it is really just what you described it: character development, language changes for the power of focus and distinction, difficult to read as this is really really rough; plus, my enthusiasm was very much on and off throughout my attempts to bite on the idea of truly developing a story that I never intended to write -- not only a story, a completely distinguishable culture with an aura of world peace being wrung from it. It's no where near a polished work like a writer would do by even my own inexperienced understanding of what writers do. Thank you for your review.

Dragon Friend (Short Story) - 3/16/2017 7:03:43 AM
All description and no action. A great deal of effort in devising characters and special language, but they never come to life in dialogue or other action. I'm sorry, but I found it mostly just difficult to read. Ron

Seed (Poetry) - 7/8/2019 8:45:06 AM
Very down to earth way of expressing love. Ron

Seed (Poetry) - 7/8/2019 8:17:28 AM
With a little luck and some TLC, that seed of love will grow into the tree of life.

Inside OUT (Poetry) - 1/4/2019 1:08:14 PM
Sometimes, even when we turn ourselves inside out for others to see, they still won't understand the person we are. Great thought-provoking piece of poetry. Sandie

Inside OUT (Poetry) - 1/1/2019 9:41:01 AM
I believe I missed something. I don't really understand your emotions, "inside-out." However, you have expressed it beautifully. Ron

Inside OUT (Poetry) - 1/1/2019 7:57:19 AM
The way you have crafted this rendition is completely intriguing , for me it brings up many thoughts of how many times I have been completely wrong about a persons character and yet inevitably attracted to them, your images are powerful , they stand out.

Unanimated (Poetry) - 12/27/2018 5:57:22 AM
Ah, your words undo me today, I love it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year dear poet.

Unanimated (Poetry) - 12/26/2018 10:02:00 AM
Jerry might be right. This could be a metaphor for a lost relationship, but I would rather take a more literal view of the poem. What I see is someone growing up and leaving behind their constant companion, a long-ago Christmas gift now left, "unanimated," on the shelf and ignored. Ron

Unanimated (Poetry) - 12/25/2018 2:30:06 PM
THIS hurts, my sweet friend. Each word cried out your pain. If you must, if you cannot live with him . . . Leave quickly!

You, me, I, we, us (Poetry) - 11/30/2018 12:45:42 PM
The image of Christ keeps coming to my head while reading this poem, and how he had suffered for us. This poem intensifies his suffering and I must say it captivates my senses so well I feel the pain too. Sandie

You, me, I, we, us (Poetry) - 11/29/2018 10:32:55 AM

You, me, I, we, us (Poetry) - 11/26/2018 12:02:09 PM
I'm stunned by the intensity of the images and the references , a thorny crown was placed on the true King indeed. But to whomever you are speaking too I hope there on the side of good. A very interesting piece , a little unsettling for sure.

You, me, I, we, us (Poetry) - 11/24/2018 11:50:12 AM
Very intensely felt. Ron

Mamma (Poetry) - 11/13/2018 4:10:10 AM
This was written by a luminous son that owns the heart of a true warrior, Perhaps its because the same blood that ran through her veins runs through yours, but one thing I know, I rarely read about such devotion. No greater love then a mother's love, beyond the grave they still hover over us with their massive wings of protection. Have a wonderful day dear poet. Thank you for sharing. I have enjoyed your tender poem today with great interest.

Mamma (Poetry) - 11/12/2018 10:33:24 AM
It's hard to comment on personal pieces but, the respect you have for her is evident . Nice tribute.

Mamma (Poetry) - 11/9/2018 5:46:18 PM
Would love to have had a mamma where I could write something as sweet and loving as you have here I only have bruises and blood in my memories.

Mamma (Poetry) - 11/9/2018 12:53:43 PM
A very poignant confession of a son's love. Ron

Mamma (Poetry) - 11/9/2018 8:17:21 AM
Very touching, and nicely penned.

Mamma (Poetry) - 11/9/2018 12:33:26 AM
A beautiful tribute to a dear mama from a son who understands her. This is so precious! Sandie

Mamma (Poetry) - 11/8/2018 8:26:09 PM
A very humble poetic tribute to your wonderful grandma. I can see her smiling today! Blessings, John Michael

A kind of ending (Poetry) - 7/30/2018 1:07:32 PM
Great write, Dark. You write as I do, but with more eloquence. I'm grateful you are back also.

i know it's timed (Poetry) - 7/26/2018 12:12:29 PM
It is difficult to find the words to comment on this one, because it is so intensely, emotionally told, your analogy using the tree, and how unlike the trees, we have choices, and a will to grow and nurture a relationship. Brilliantly worded! -ZACH

i know it's timed (Poetry) - 7/22/2018 1:55:05 PM
Oh my, so darkly expressive and beautiful. Heart wrenching pain.

i know it's timed (Poetry) - 7/18/2018 7:05:06 PM
I can just envision these beautiful roots growing intertwined, strong and weaved together , thirsting to live and stretch and flower. Perhaps the other senses the algorithm and wilts away into the what should be and not what could be . I agree , the good should be above everything, and the roots would only comeback stronger , resistant . You're convinced of this disappointment . Let it not be so.

i know it's timed (Poetry) - 7/18/2018 9:31:21 AM
I love reading a poem where you can tell that each word was thought out and placed perfectly without being overly pretentious. I love a poem that makes me read it more than once. You win on both counts. Well done.

i know it's timed (Poetry) - 7/18/2018 8:45:28 AM
A sort of "grasping for straws," kind of analogy for the coming end of life. It certainly is timed, and we only have less than 125 years to get done what we're going to do, leaves grasped or not. Ron

i know it's timed (Poetry) - 7/18/2018 8:40:08 AM
Sounds like love got cold and frosty.

Without order (Poetry) - 7/10/2018 6:31:59 PM
Order in chaos? No?

Unseen Blossom (Poetry) - 7/10/2018 6:29:02 PM
Like a wild flower deep in the woods of spring climbing through brush, extinct it is not.

Stepped Into My Dreams (Poetry) - 7/10/2018 6:23:07 PM
Adore this. I ate corn flakes almost everyday for breakfast in highschool. Not off the floor, but with as little milk as possible . Maybe that was the nightmare and not high school.

A kind of ending (Poetry) - 5/24/2018 1:13:28 PM
I can relate to this DA. Take care. Love, peace, and best wishes, Regis

A kind of ending (Poetry) - 5/10/2018 9:27:25 PM
This is a heartbreaking poem. The painful feeling is well-expressed. Sandie

A kind of ending (Poetry) - 5/9/2018 10:59:36 AM
It's all too real, but I fight to not believe it is happening. I just love her so much that I'll go down like a dwindling comet until I hit the the maximum resistance unfortunately.

A kind of ending (Poetry) - 5/7/2018 7:36:10 PM
It's time to say goodbye when you don't see yourself in her eyes. I like that image.

My feet ... (Poetry) - 5/6/2018 3:45:21 PM
Eye's of pearl , filled with the moon was the first image that I thought, then colorful air balloons , visually this was a neat poem.

A kind of ending (Poetry) - 5/6/2018 10:38:26 AM
So good to read you again. Like the others I hope this isn't from a real relationship with only a poetic rendering . Ron

A kind of ending (Poetry) - 5/6/2018 9:02:58 AM
Even when a relationship ends, it still lives on inside of us.if it doesn't torment us, it's a blessing. If not, it's a curse.

A kind of ending (Poetry) - 5/5/2018 9:50:59 PM
This is definately your style of writing. I sincerely hope this ending you speak of is just a creative venting of sorts because it sounds horrendous, scary and crushing to say the least. Nice to see you posting.

A Birdie 2 (Poetry) - 1/14/2018 1:37:34 PM
Ah, to be a bird and soar through the sky. Nice poem.

This argument ... (Poetry) - 5/21/2017 6:08:14 PM
That made me laugh! Usually I leave scraps of paper around, maybe I should threaten to do the same. ;)

Never Go Away (Poetry) - 5/18/2017 8:12:09 AM
Youv'e created an amazing sense of distance between you and the one you love with wide open fields and blinding cold rains. The longing is palpable and you feel this sense that although far away , two souls so deeply connected could never truly part. It's a visually pretty read.

A Favored Drink (Poetry) - 5/18/2017 7:56:57 AM
Pepsi vs coke , I'd take either, not picky

a bite (Poetry) - 5/17/2017 2:13:05 PM
Well that's one way to describe a flesh wound! Being ravenous will make you take an enormous helping. Unique take on despair.

I? Never (Poetry) - 5/17/2017 1:59:50 PM
I can relate to this, D.A. I think it is best not to be alone but sometimes, life's circumstances dictate it so. Thank you for sharing. Love and peace, Regis

A Birdie 2 (Poetry) - 5/16/2017 3:53:41 PM
Were we to spread our wings as wide as the ocean permits would be touch the hem of God's tunic? Your words make me want to be a better writer, one that writes poems such as these, thanks for sharing your heart about freedom and wings, I say if you got them, make them sing xo

A Birdie 2 (Poetry) - 5/13/2017 4:27:14 PM
Richard has given the most comprehensive comment on this poem that offers me little to add to it. Marvelous poetry deep and convincing.

A Birdie 2 (Poetry) - 5/13/2017 11:18:49 AM
Its easy to feel entangled and trapped and dreaming the only escape.

A Birdie 2 (Poetry) - 5/10/2017 4:52:26 PM
LOve birdies and hate to see them on the side of the road after being hit by a car and I even hate it more if I hit them myself like I did tonight, I was much upset with not only myself but with the bird, -e-

A Birdie 2 (Poetry) - 5/10/2017 7:02:08 AM
The process of interpreting another's poetry is never definitive. For me: the emotional content takes center stage in this piece. I'm thinking the obvious interpretation here (which all have offered below) evades (what I perceive as) the writers deeper intent in composing the piece. 'make gully my eyes' is the first clue to me that (perhaps) a flood of tears was involved; possibly on various occasions. Everyone admires the freedom a healthy bird has in flight. But I sense also the writer (being another kind of bird) is writing about something personal, not as easily discernible to a scanning reader. Something perhaps that dragged the writer's heart over the rocks. Perhaps a marriage, or relationship, that evolved badly and began to undermine, or degrade, the creative essence of who the writer was/is at the core. Subjective. Certainly, if we want to fly like a bird, we have to give up everything that weighs us down. Each of us is born with creative wings, so why, I wonder, do so many people crawl through life. Birds and people who love freedom have something in common, they must fly freely to feel that they are alive. Much to be drawn from this, bro. I've drawn a drop. Well done. Enjoyed. r

A Birdie 2 (Poetry) - 5/10/2017 5:19:11 AM
To think that birds are surviving dinosaurs. Warm-blooded, mate for life, raise their children to independence, live long and fly with the wind and even against it with ease. They fly through deep brush and heavy tree canopy without collision and reach their perches with precision. See in color and have eyesight that can spot distant or small food from a very great distance. A sense of guidance that allows them to migrate thousands of miles. The sense of smell that allows them to find water and food where there is almost none. The bird's plumage is the most beautiful in the animal kingdom. They even make loyal and seemingly contented companions in captivity. I agree with you. It is time to set them free. Ron

A Birdie 2 (Poetry) - 5/10/2017 3:01:05 AM
I've never had anything but dogs for pets. I believe they are pretty much groomed for being pets though their bloodlines.

A Birdie 2 (Poetry) - 5/9/2017 6:33:58 PM
I've come to feel that way about any creature that's considered a pet and needs to be confined. In the past, I've had a boa and an iguana. Both lived in a gutted 25" tv {not at the same time) I converted to their living quarters. I don't know how they felt, but I always said that the only way I'd keep pets like that again would be if I could fix up a room and at least give them that much freedom. And don't get me started on aquairums.

You got my back (Poetry) - 5/7/2017 4:05:09 AM
Maybe mystic rose is right maybe two broken people can't possible fit together.

I? Never (Poetry) - 5/1/2017 4:23:51 PM
one ought to never roam alone through the path of life, God is always at your side, thanks for sharing dear Angel x

A jig in my heart… (Poetry) - 4/30/2017 8:39:47 AM
I sometimes wonder if people really like coffee? It's really bitter. Expresso for instance, a tablespoon mixed in a chocolate dessert highlights it's flavor. A delicate pairing. Coffee is just a feel good thing of manipulated taste, a warm cup on a cold sleepy dreary morning is the warmth and caffeine high you need. And the farce that it is you crash shortly after. I just didn't love my coffee this morning.

deceive (Poetry) - 4/26/2017 8:28:04 AM
I can feel the struggle of the poet but I can also feel the desire of peace in his heart, from God's ears to your heart dear poet, may it be so, peace all the way, til' he take you home to his hearth in heaven. xo

My Clementine Tree (Poetry) - 4/24/2017 8:27:57 AM
Lovely poetry; seems very symbolic to me, and the images awaken the imagination most effectively. Love and peace to you, DA. Regis

For the sake of his gaze upon me (Poetry) - 4/24/2017 8:26:29 AM
A kaleidoscope of images... ...the verses leave me whirling. Thank you for sharing, DA. Love and peace, Regis

deceive (Poetry) - 4/24/2017 8:23:58 AM
To live a life of peace is a noble and worthy goal, one of which I aspire to as well. Well-expressed, DA. Love and peace to you, Regis

deceive (Poetry) - 4/23/2017 8:21:44 PM
DA, this one I have to say I like a great deal, be it reality or fantasy, to live a life of peace or piece, depending on your outlook, is to live with the gods of Zen...-e-

My Clementine Tree (Poetry) - 4/23/2017 1:51:07 PM
It is your tree , maybe having a small part of it isn't important.

deceive (Poetry) - 4/23/2017 12:13:59 PM
I'll agree building a fortress makes sense, defending it seems logical. And praying would definately be a request for reinforcement. It's a lot of work to obtain peace.

deceive (Poetry) - 4/23/2017 7:16:47 AM
I hear you and I agree. Incidentally, the shape of your poem (to me) is like a rivulet of water flowing down a rock. Too many in a modern society feel separated from the world and each other; sometimes even from themselves. Having peace within allows one the ability to live at peace with others. I'm convinced that as long as there is peace in a person's life, there is little else that matters. So plough your fields and cast your seeds; the rains will come when they're supposed to. And I've known firsthand, in my life, that when the rains come, so does the inspiration. There is mindfulness in prayer and meditative silence. When we get these things, then choosing our words will certainly reflect more kindness, wisdom, and truthfulness, as yours did here. Peace to you... r

deceive (Poetry) - 4/23/2017 6:51:22 AM
The greatest deception is when we deceive ourselves. That is a wonderful declaration at the end of the poem. Gandhi would have loved it. Ron

deceive (Poetry) - 4/23/2017 6:30:55 AM
This reminded me of a poem I wrote a few years back titled, Delusions & Fantasies. Perhaps I should add illusions to that poem. Or as John Lennon sang, Imagine.

deceive (Poetry) - 4/23/2017 4:40:58 AM
Peace. Something we can only achieve through working toward it in our minds. I have managed to feel complete peace when everything around me was going going bat**** crazy.

deceive (Poetry) - 4/23/2017 1:23:07 AM
It really is 'all in the mind' whichever we we get there...imagination or reality? Einstein was very big on imagination,..that's good enough for me! Diana...

let to mist (Poetry) - 4/21/2017 4:31:11 AM
To be relieved of this life's shackles, how sweet that might be if you are infested with disease/ pain. A human earthly life no longer providing any pleasure. A kiss of death would be very welcome I suppose. Typically, the female equated with birth, new life, new realm. I personally would see this female role as more of the lusty seductress, not the tenderness of a motherly touch/love. I would have expected more a deep passion between lovers. Not the same love of that with a child. ( Not healing a boo boo kind of a poem.) Visually this lends itself to beauty and is very compelling. And if you had actually wrote flailing arms it might have taken a complete comedic turn and that is not what this should be, I think. The concept is edgy. Cool poem. Unique.

My Clementine Tree (Poetry) - 4/13/2017 1:53:49 PM
Sweet words of beauty, the clementine tree is indeed a delicious tree xo

My Clementine Tree (Poetry) - 4/13/2017 9:08:24 AM
Beautifuly written with a mournful tone at the end that Jerry may have happened on to. I especially like the ambience created through night and day. Thus the Clementine does become a metaphor for more than just a tree. Ron

My Clementine Tree (Poetry) - 4/13/2017 5:49:16 AM
Good imagery woven with a substantive message that can be interpreted subjectively; one of poetry's finer aspects IMO. There is much along life's path that humans can reach out for and consume. Not all of it is salutary though. Trees are a marvelous vehicle for metaphor; you've shown that here effectively. Because Clementine's are the smallest of the Mandarins, with a small sweet fruit that lends itself better to quick snacks than canning; the writer seems to me to be drawn to something other than ephemeral sustenance in his life. Subjective. Trees can be a kind of confidant for many, never failing to listen to the most trivial of problems and the most heartfelt pleas. Much could be drawn from this piece. I've drawn a drop. Well done. Peace to you... r

My Clementine Tree (Poetry) - 4/13/2017 4:40:09 AM
Assuming the Clementine tree is a young tree, maybe just planted and not ready to bear fruit. it is growing into that part of its life. Feel the anguish loud and clear, my friend.

A Darling Life (Poetry) - 4/12/2017 10:48:15 PM
The crazy, crazy chaos of life.. And the diamonds within the dung heap.... I like your style here.... Diana

My Clementine Tree (Poetry) - 4/12/2017 10:18:34 PM
A beautiful and heady concoction of words... You create a delicious atmosphere of windswept citrus.... I love it! Diana...

Promises made, promises broken, in the words of your poem, so clearly spoken.

You got my back (Poetry) - 4/7/2017 5:53:40 AM
I'll share a personal anecdote: A good friend I had in my teens, during High School, was African American (an exceptional human - Tyrone Young) that I chummed with, and lifted weights with, for several years. He eventually became Mr. San Diego. He beat out Gene Dickerson when he bench-pressed 450 pounds to Gene's 425. I could never get past 350. Tyrone began drinking some years later because he could never again duplicate the high he'd gotten from that victory. After several years all I had come to depend on and respect about him oozed down into the human sewer that claims so many. Everything about him withered up. To one degree or another insidiously intelligent (and in some instances remarkably hateful) spiritual forces manipulate human beings. Evil destroyed my friend Tyrone. But he let it do so. Whether taken from real life or just a work of imagination: your summary here can be construed in various depths. Stay the course. Peace... r

You got my back (Poetry) - 4/7/2017 5:11:35 AM
Except for that concrete bridge overhead blocking the sun and the rain, you could say you have the whole world around you as your new abode. Seriously, this reads like a codependent situation that usually results in suffering for both parties when it is broken. But, probably should be broken because the parties on their own, while having to suffer more initially, will probably come out better for it in the end. Ron

You got my back (Poetry) - 4/7/2017 1:50:07 AM
Dear Angel, "angels know heart ache like no other breed in heaven on earth" when we get tied and mangled into each others brokenness, it's hard sometimes to repair the broken puzzle pieces that once fit together. You express what being human is all about, the fact remains, love yourself enough to do what is the right thing for you. Sending love and understanding, as far as puzzles go, I'm still puzzling myself, lol xo

You got my back (Poetry) - 4/6/2017 5:00:17 PM
Sometimes it is difficult to send certain people "on their way" even though you know that is where they should be sent to. It is a shame, and this poem vividly points that out to all who will read it. Excellent writing, Darkest.

Angel Death (Poetry) - 4/5/2017 6:36:04 AM
Soulfully dark.

Angel Death (Poetry) - 4/5/2017 4:36:11 AM
I feel somehow that this highly romantic pleading is misnamed. It seems more to me to be titled, Angel Love. Unless of course, you are a vampire and your love just sucks life from her. Ron

Angel Death (Poetry) - 4/4/2017 4:46:32 PM
"laying my soulful lips direct upon you" What a wondrous, soul-giving seven words, Darkest. This is a fantastic piece of writing, my friend.

let to mist (Poetry) - 4/1/2017 8:01:56 AM
Thank you for the brief description. But I sensed something of "until death do us part," in this little piece of poetic magic. Ron

sleep with me (Poetry) - 3/31/2017 7:16:27 AM
A beautiful allegory in a poem. I will not sleep with the fishes, but I will sleep with the Peachtree leaves in autumn. Sated and sweet like nectar. Ron

sleep with me (Poetry) - 3/31/2017 6:29:32 AM
When the petals close, it's time yo put the flowers to bed.

sleep with me (Poetry) - 3/31/2017 4:18:13 AM
Aside from the axiomatic sexual undercurrents; I generalize (in the subtext) a kind of community fancied; creative independent souls interacting with one another honestly and respectfully. A psychologically friendly, informal, intimate, responsive, intellectually productive place where a creative soul can be themselves, share, grow, and be accepted despite differences. That's what I see. But what do I know; I saw another inter-dimensional craft this week. Enjoyed this. r

sleep with me (Poetry) - 3/30/2017 6:22:48 PM
There is an Emily Dickinson quality to the punctuation in this. She was very unique in that regard . And true to your style- this has texture and feel to it, a natural sense. It has contrast. The word supernal , well there could be no other word in that particular spot. And this is my first reading...will sleep on these thoughts...

sleep with me (Poetry) - 3/30/2017 5:32:02 PM
I don't think I will be sleeping with you anytime soon, sorry...:) -e-

sleep with me (Poetry) - 3/30/2017 5:29:14 PM
Whoa! Sensual to the nth, but without the gritty stuff. It is very satisfying to read something this profound and with a hearty dash of class.

For the sake of his gaze upon me (Poetry) - 3/28/2017 7:22:21 AM
Aside from strange references like a wacky hitchhiker, I have no idea where this is going--or coming. But apparently there are some eye candy teasing going on that elicits a bonk. Ron

For the sake of his gaze upon me (Poetry) - 3/28/2017 4:13:54 AM
Colorful first stanza. Like a good appetizer before the main course. Visuals could well portend a comedic sex film. (-: I'm sitting here wondering about your mind Dark; maybe more Vitamin B12? Hahaha. Enjoyed this. Continued inspiration. Peace... r

For the sake of his gaze upon me (Poetry) - 3/28/2017 1:49:35 AM
Second draft is action packed! voice of dreams took it down down down.

Lap of Darkness (Poetry) - 3/27/2017 11:05:52 AM
We are surrounded by evil, we can feel the evil there, hopefully we don't act evil knowingly. It is hard to find the good sometimes, it seems elusive and light where as evil seems crushing. I can't begin to pretend how anyone feels , I can't explain how I feel .

Our Love a Game (Poetry) - 3/27/2017 10:28:47 AM
If it's that complicated , I would say yes game. You've captured the frustration here nicely, the mis-communication or no communication. Or how many hours a day you spend together.....hey , wait a minute , where were you at noon today?? ? Hope this was written a long time ago...

Fewer endless cycles (Poetry) - 3/27/2017 10:19:17 AM
I wrote something like this , end of the world, last good person standing and mine sucks!!! But this action packed event makes me sad because the first thing I think of is video games and just killing for the sake of it for fun on your xbox or whatever. Or. Maybe you could read this a little more abstract as this pathetic crying girl gets saved from something the reader doesn't know about but a little terrifying if the girl is being cyber stalked....

Our Love a Game (Poetry) - 3/27/2017 9:49:30 AM
As far back as I can remember I've hated games. Board games. Social games. Team sports. I was always drawn to music, composition, writing, board surfing, body surfing, cross-country running, hiking, mountain climbing, and even beach volleyball if the participants were strategic and respectful. Many I've known over the years juiced on games; the more involved the better. Yikes! I was always kind of an open book, (more often than not to my detriment) yada-yada-yada. Probably why I had so many girlfriends in my teens and early twenties. Too honest. Your thoughts here struck a nerve. Especially in context to active memories and in-active memories. Funny how a simple poem can trigger stuff. Peace... r

Even at the worst of times you would not be able to not love..

A Thief for Happiness (Poetry) - 3/27/2017 8:47:03 AM
Four leaf clovers like split hearts, lucky in love, unlucky, but happiness you achieve on your own...true contentment is when you can share it with another.

Lap of Darkness (Poetry) - 3/26/2017 11:01:59 PM
The darkness can be so very comforting. When the eyes adjust to the darkness, it can bring it's own special blend of safety and comfort. How else can the stars of heaven spangle so bright if it weren't for the darkly canvass that God stitched. Ah, to know the valor of both is to know God, thanks for sharing your heart, your fears, and your hopes, isn't it amazing how we can do this through a simple honest poem, have a great day Darkly Angel. Make those wings count, xo

curse (Poetry) - 3/26/2017 7:17:40 AM
To dark for me. I am of a much lighter mood. And I certainly wish that no one had moods like this that could turn self/other destructive. Ron

curse (Poetry) - 3/26/2017 5:20:59 AM
Strings of nightmarish images that seem surreal. Reminds me of some of the spiritual warfare I've engaged in. Relate to this. Peace. r

curse (Poetry) - 3/26/2017 4:01:41 AM
Dark and Poe like.

I miss You Loving Me (Poetry) - 3/25/2017 9:03:32 PM
Thank you Morgan Master of Writes! I am glad you agree.

A Darling Life (Poetry) - 3/25/2017 8:41:57 PM
Most certainly, Regis, this is about a chaotic nature of life - it is mine truly. I am happy someone has actually read this - most of all, understood it. I appreciate your soul and wit brother. Enjoy life

Clip art (Poetry) - 3/25/2017 2:36:25 PM
Beautiful imagery . A longing haunting quality to it, playful. Energetic. Very cool.

I miss You Loving Me (Poetry) - 3/25/2017 2:30:50 PM
OMG , absolutely this could be a song!

cheater (Poetry) - 3/25/2017 2:28:48 PM
A little trouble understanding this one. Other than the gist the games people play. You have style that's for sure.

Collapsing (Poetry) - 3/25/2017 2:25:58 PM
Very visual and has cool imagination .

Birds of Love (Poetry) - 3/25/2017 2:23:25 PM

A Birdie (Poetry) - 3/25/2017 2:21:52 PM
I take it as the bird doesn't leave, happy to be healing. Cool poem

To Dream an Eternity with You (Poetry) - 3/25/2017 9:31:02 AM
I love dreams; sometimes they are so intense that I wake up and have to take a moment to realize what is reality; very disappointing at times. At other times, I like the dream so much that I will myself back to sleep and get back into the dream; much to my delight. Thank you for sharing, D.A. Love and peace, Regis

cheater (Poetry) - 3/25/2017 9:28:56 AM
It is true that some people are good at getting you to trust them... ...and even better at betraying you. Love and peace to you, D.A., Regis

A Darling Life (Poetry) - 3/25/2017 9:27:09 AM
There is much to absorb and to fathom in your verses here; but the theme to me is about the chaotic nature of this life. Love and peace, Regis

cheater (Poetry) - 3/24/2017 4:03:25 PM
Life is a rat race, be careful of the cheese you nibble!

cheater (Poetry) - 3/24/2017 9:08:37 AM
Lots of strength in the breath of your poetry, deep as inkwell, you need to know who to trust these days, and when you can safely close both eyes lol, Love the intensity of it all, x

cheater (Poetry) - 3/24/2017 5:46:30 AM
There is a certain, hopefully small, percentage of people who found out very young that they could get away with lying and turned it into cheating their way through life. But I find that chanting over someone sleeping is a really strange way of gaining control over them. Ron

cheater (Poetry) - 3/24/2017 5:42:22 AM
I wrote this thinking of evil minded people who are trusted by honest people or at least those who try to maintain some good will towards others. Unfortunately, we come to trust people who really have no good intentions towards us. This is all about the race of life.

cheater (Poetry) - 3/24/2017 4:23:12 AM
The writer allows the reader enough leeway to ascertain context. I'm thinking the biggest mystery here is what winning really means. r

To Dream an Eternity with You (Poetry) - 3/23/2017 8:57:51 AM
Certainly wanders like thoughts in a dream. Always moving, morphine changing like a cloud passing by the sun. Ron

To Dream an Eternity with You (Poetry) - 3/23/2017 5:48:13 AM
An interesting perspective in which the writer chooses his/her words cautiously. "raindrops in my dreams" is an evocative image for me. Peace to you... r

To Dream an Eternity with You (Poetry) - 3/23/2017 12:45:07 AM
Your personification techniques are good darkest angel, what better thing to be than the rain when we want to show how love can be insane, water is permeable and pliable like love is, you write like an angel on fire, have a great day DA, xo

A Birdie (Poetry) - 3/20/2017 6:54:18 AM
It is often the case, sometimes healers know the risks they take when they mend a broken wing, but in the end, all goes back to the natural order of things, and yes, the birds must fly free. Well said dark Angel xo

Anti-fertile (Poetry) - 3/19/2017 8:23:41 AM
Most intriguing and thought-inciting, D.A. Love and peace to you, Regis

Darkest Laughter (Poetry) - 3/18/2017 6:19:43 PM
Totally intriguing and thought-inciting; my kind of poetry. Love and peace, Régis

Believe in fate, NO (Poetry) - 3/18/2017 5:07:39 PM

Thought-inciting at the very least. Love and peace to you, Regis

My Native Skin (Poetry) - 3/17/2017 11:25:15 AM
I was 23 years old when I wrote "my native skin"; in those times, I was sifting through to find my escape from racism in my locale. I also was only beginning to have some understanding of how to use the English language. Thank you Rose

A Birdie (Poetry) - 3/16/2017 10:58:56 AM
It's tough to give up an bird you cared for and nursed back to health, but you did the right thing.

A Birdie (Poetry) - 3/16/2017 9:36:23 AM
It's wonderful when a bird can be healed and set free from injury. But it's the "shaky" in the last line that confuses me. Ron

A Birdie (Poetry) - 3/16/2017 5:22:11 AM
A real; tweet to read.

A Birdie (Poetry) - 3/16/2017 3:58:33 AM
And somewhere out there in the wild blue yonder a bird flies. and somewhere in the heart of an angel a love lives on.

When we were (Poetry) - 3/15/2017 6:34:19 AM
Ron, not one word of this writing correlates with any of the words you spent here. Go write your rhythms with that energy, please, and stop hating for whatever reason. I don't need a teacher nor a heckler.

When we were (Poetry) - 3/15/2017 6:12:22 AM
I misread one word: I read groping rather than grouping. I think the former also applies. As I read this I didn't see real freedom. I saw a sense of boredom created by opulence and over choice leading to obsessive-compulsive music listening, drinking or other activity that contributes not one iota to the benefit of all. Childish behavior that we are all want to. Ron

Park it (Poetry) - 3/11/2017 10:16:37 PM
After reading this I went outside to see if someone had stolen my car. Alas, it's still there.

Virescent (Poetry) - 3/10/2017 5:47:16 PM
Another great write, your pen flows well x

My Native Skin (Poetry) - 3/10/2017 5:46:04 PM

... you coming (Poetry) - 3/10/2017 5:44:31 PM
You write with great intensity and passion, I like that, x

Park it (Poetry) - 3/10/2017 11:17:35 AM
Reading this, at this time in my life completely says it all insofar as I can relate, Darkest, and relate I damn well do. Of all the poems have read, THIS is the one I wish I had written. This is good!

Park it (Poetry) - 3/10/2017 8:05:58 AM
Great allegory! And there's a number of fatal system failures right around the corner to end it all… The failed engine or transmission… A part you can't get anymore vital to the drivetrain… Rust eating a big hole in the floor to fall through… And finally, that inevitable wreck that puts everything in the junkyard gravesite. One would only wish there were dedicated frame off restorers for the human body like there are for four wheeled junkyard beauties. Ron

Park it (Poetry) - 3/10/2017 7:05:39 AM
Interesting and thought provoking.

Not a Poet (Poetry) - 3/9/2017 8:33:47 PM
I think we all talk to ourselves though personally I talk to the walls in my apartment & when they start to talk back, that will be the day I commit myself to a padded room...:) -e-

Spirit (Poetry) - 3/6/2017 9:57:58 AM
?

Spirit (Poetry) - 3/6/2017 5:23:07 AM
My, my but you sure delivered much intensity within the lines of this little, but dynamic poem . . .

Expulsion (Poetry) - 3/2/2017 3:02:56 PM
This is pure poetry and in every line you weave the magic that makes a poem worth reading.

Reaching (Poetry) - 3/2/2017 2:59:51 PM
How clever to turn a thought into meanings that contain the meat of what you have written into a more distinguished lot of poetry for the readers benefit.

Reaching (Poetry) - 2/27/2017 3:23:11 PM
A repeating pattern of the same poem with slight variation every incarnation. An overwhelming flood of emotion obviously, but denoting change to what? Maybe an infusion into the dream world, but I might be overthinking this. Memory is the catch and the net is pain. It has an overwhelming feel of the pain. Tears are the universal solvent for the stain of pain. A few loose thought. A thoughtful read. Bob

Reaching (Poetry) - 2/26/2017 8:04:46 AM
Your four iterations of the same poem left me having no mental time to evaluate what you wrote at all. Perhaps that was your purpose. Ron

Collapsing (Poetry) - 2/2/2017 6:09:52 PM
This is real poetry.

Damn This (Poetry) - 1/27/2017 7:59:49 AM
That was close, but no cigar. I could almost feel the tension, but it wasn't enough to break the ice. Ron

Damn This (Poetry) - 1/27/2017 2:50:00 AM
Loved your poetry this morning, thank you for sharing D A .

Collapsing (Poetry) - 1/22/2017 8:46:36 AM
I with Jerry. Much loss expressed with great longing. Ron

Collapsing (Poetry) - 1/22/2017 6:12:36 AM
Complete and utter pain within the lines of this poem.

Where you go? (Poetry) - 1/21/2017 12:59:06 PM
The struggle to communicate through the pain is clear. Ron
