I've known two people that wrote excellent books and then decided not to publish them. Fortunately, they are on Microsoft Word and can be passed on to their children. Both are memoirs. Both authors are bit afraid of revealing personal information. I guess that's their right, but I find personal information I read from memoirs to be quite enlightening and not at all demeaning.

Your poem describes reality very well. My ex-wife was very good at transforming our environs at Christmas time into a Currier and Ives landscape. Certainly not drab and definitely not blah.

I love the way you start the poem with a blank slate and then work it up to a full fledged beautiful Xmas story of love and beauty. Well done dear Linda, hope your Christmas was peaceful and healthy x
