Good girl gone bad (Short Story) - 5/8/2016 6:01:37 AM
I think this is the first time that I've heard of someone coming out of addiction by writing. I wonder if you still have those 40 books of writing that you can publish. I have a good friend who has a very similar story to yours in the beginning, only she had a child before she ran away (her son is a big supporter of her today) and has struggled with addiction and relationships all her life. She wants to write her story, but has trouble focusing on it and we do not have enough time together for me to help her write it yet. Ron

Getting to grips with loving me (Short Story) - 5/5/2016 4:54:53 AM
That is great Ron, I am so profoundly happy that you found the strength and love of self even in testing times! It is very inspiring to hear and may you continue to be blessed in abundance. Keysha

Getting to grips with loving me (Short Story) - 5/5/2016 4:52:26 AM
You are absolutely right about creating a strong image of oneself. I love the way you went about doing it. Eva is right. You set a wonderful example. Fortunately, I started off with strong self esteem. I overcame being small for my age and a bit shy in public life being very strong physically and learning how to speak publicly without fear. When my appearance changed dramatically at 20 when my hands and arms were paralyzed. My perception of myself never changed and has helped me overcome the stigma associated with being paralyzed. Ron

Getting to grips with loving me (Short Story) - 5/5/2016 12:03:13 AM
Another inspiring article in setting an example for others who find themselves in a similar situation.

When our eyes met (Short Story) - 5/1/2016 11:45:34 PM
Very true Ron, it is an ideal situation for many but the root always starts with the love you have for yourself. I truly believe when you have mastered the love of self your expectation of finding love will ease into realistic ideals.

When our eyes met (Short Story) - 5/1/2016 7:21:39 AM
I don't know if this is true or fiction, but it is the classic kind of fairytale that most would wish to happen in their lives. Some do and some don't. Ron

Taking the happy with the sad.. (Article) - 5/7/2016 12:30:42 PM
Somehow I don't really ever want to see bad balance good. Whenever I can turn that into good that's what I'll try to do. Life is too short to spend any time on bad, because it's wasted. Ron

Perception (Article) - 5/6/2016 1:32:14 AM
Spot on! How often do people envy couples because they appear smitten with each other in public, and maybe even brag about their relationship as a united front? If it sounds too good to be true, it's probably a sham. Your points are well-taken.

Perception (Article) - 5/5/2016 7:00:30 AM
You're so right about perception. I've learned not to let first impressions to side of the character of a person because I found that usually takes a while being around someone to really learn what they are all about, so I try not to judge people like I see so many others do with just one look. You're right about visual clues as well. I had a girlfriend would smile when she was angry. That little character trait drove me wild because I kept thinking she was happy when she was not. Ron

Why he isn't taking you serious (Article) - 5/1/2016 12:40:44 PM
Ron summed it up perfectly. One must love themselves first and be able to live independently. The other half is just the frosting on the cake.

Why he isn't taking you serious (Article) - 5/1/2016 8:07:40 AM
Perfectly balanced relationships are hard to find. I have found that some people seem to demand so much more from a relationship than is really required to keep it going. We must love ourselves first. Those that need someone else to constantly confirm that they are lovable generally have low self-esteem or ability to be comfortable without the validation from someone else. This usually leads to codependency and unhealthy, dysfunctional relationships. Ron

Sorry Soon Followed (Poetry) - 6/6/2016 3:26:42 PM
I hope this is not a real experience. So powerfully sad and too often true.

Sorry Soon Followed (Poetry) - 4/26/2016 5:43:25 AM
Yes, a very sad truth. Why so many women are attracted to abusive men? And then, get caught up in a cycle of codependent abuse and apology that can only end badly. What a shame! Ron

Sorry Soon Followed (Poetry) - 4/26/2016 5:13:38 AM
Sad. I hope you have gotten away from the cruelty.
