Your five tips are straightforward, easy to understand and I would recommend doing the same thing. Ron

7 Keys to Achieve Your Goals (Article) - 6/16/2021 8:45:17 AM
Some good points about how to focus on what everyone needs. Unfortunately like you describe, I have been surrounded by those who often let fear keep them from moving forward. Thankfully, I have persuaded a few people to move beyond their fear. I have found that I have little fear but my impulsiveness sometimes gets me into risky business that often ends up failing because it was never meant to succeed anyway. I'm not talking about addictions to gambling and taking on false promises. I am talking about lending money to people in need who have no way of paying it back, even when they promise. It looks like you have been quite successful with your career and books. Continue your good work. Ron

6 Pointers to Increase Your Investing Success (Article) - 6/4/2020 8:35:32 AM
Good points. All of which I have violated. I think the most important aspect of growing wealth is learning how to save. The sooner one learns about how to save money rather than spending it, the sooner one will have money to invest. In today's turbulent job market, job turnover is greater, so one must not only save, "for a rainy day," but for an uncertain future where early-retirement or forced retirement must be sustained by investments. Most people wait far too long in their careers before they save, unless they are lucky to have a company-sponsored retirement plan. Ron

How to Improve Your Weaknesses So They Become Your Strengths (Article) - 4/19/2017 2:08:10 AM
Thanks for this inspiring article. I've been trying to get more exercise in my life. As a writer, that's difficult. I spend too much time at the computer. But all I need is one hour a day of exercise. I make excuses, I get angry at myself. Your article points out that we need to keep a positive attitude and not beat up on ourselves. I wonder why I do beat up on myself? What purpose is there to that? I need to keep focused on the positive and keep working at it. Thanks!

How to Improve Your Weaknesses So They Become Your Strengths (Article) - 4/15/2017 7:32:34 AM
Certainly good positive advice about the power of positive thinking and stepping out of one's comfort zone. I've always had a head start on this practicing these very traits all my life. However, I know that I will never be any good at calculus, memorizing long treatises, playing classical music, etc. etc. And, sure, there are always things that I haven't done and can try like playing electric wheelchair basketball. But, at this stage of my life I'm still learning in those areas where I'm strong… Making mistakes all along, correcting, adjusting. Still getting better. Trying out new technologies to see if they'll work for me. Ron

Answer These 9 Questions To Protect Your Money From Surprises (Article) - 1/9/2017 6:51:35 AM
All common sense money management strategies. I have been following them for nearly 50 years. I have lost greatly by not pulling out of the market in 1989, 2001 and then lost greatly by pulling out of the market in 2009. Fortunately, other business activities like property management and personal lending have been more successful, although lending small amounts to those desperate because of health or life circumstance has always ended up with them not paying me back. I count that as charity rather than a loss. Ron

Believe In You (Article) - 11/9/2016 6:37:34 AM
A beautifully written and reinforcing article on the power of positive thinking. I am all of that so I don't need your advice. Unfortunately, many do. The election last night proved to me that there are many powerless people out there who voted for a man that they think will solve their problems because he said that he would. They are deluding themselves. They need to solve their own problems like you are suggesting. But they are too afraid to go out and face the world with a smile on their face. They would rather have someone do it for them. They are ripe to succumb to a dictator. Ron

Wish I could have learned early how to at least save money but it is too late for me now and by the way, there is no way you have been in the market for OVER 30 years when you look in that picture like you are no older than 25...-e-

Journey To Wealth (Poetry) - 6/17/2016 6:24:00 AM
I just have been following Rich Dad Poor Dad's advice over the last few years since I sold my business, wish i had started sooner and learned that a house payment for a house to live in is a liability and not an asset for the most part. I love real estate myself. Dan

Journey To Wealth (Poetry) - 6/16/2016 6:29:37 AM
While I would prefer a poem with less sales pitch and more artistry, I have generally followed your common sense prescriptions in my life and am in relatively safe retirement. What you propose is much less stressful and rewarding than all the get rich quick attempts people try. For example, if everyone would simply invest all the money they spend on lottery tickets in the market, however small, from the very beginning when they start buying lottery tickets. By retirement age, as early as 50, they will find that they have a tidy little sum of money available that will be like winning the lottery--something that most people never do. My only objection is that investing in markets is only money changing. Doesn't produce anything adding value to anyone. It doesn't create jobs or anything worthwhile. Unless we spend our lives coming up with ways to enhance others with our ideas and hard work. Making money on the market will not continue to happen. Ron
