I would highly recommend this read for kids of all ages (including the fully grown ones!)
Entertaining for adults and kids, this story is a truly enjoyable read. The book introduces the reader to an incredible magical world. Interspersed with fascinating facts about the natural world and geography, the author conjures up a world of magic and mythical creatures in the real world of today. Along with their animal and magical friends, we follow the tale of four young witches and wizards in their magical adventure as a Dark Wizard Army rises. The author captures colourful characters along the way, with plot twists to keep us wanting more.
Full of the excitement of battling evil, the author adds wicked twists of humour to entertain from beginning to end. We are promised a “Roald Dahl ish” humour and the author doesn’t disappoint!
Can’t wait for the sequel to be published to follow the adventures further!

I enjoyed reading your account of what prompted you to write 'The Great Wizard Wars,' reaffirming that necessity is the mother of invention. Most importantly, you gifted your grandsons a memorable treasure.

What a nice way promote your book, a background story. I like your research--asking the kids what they really wanted to read. But, I kind of wished they would've stayed with just the snakes and other real creatures rather than going off into the list of fantasy fellows that are written about all the time. I think at that age, they're already ready for Tom Sawyer, or if you are brave enough, Huckleberry Finn.
