Some days bees that way. It's a bit hard for me to relate to how you are feeling. Since I've never been to war and had to kill someone. But I have suffered trauma and have been depressed for long periods.
Let's hope, unlike 22 veterans every day you don't carryout that wish on that last line and live a long, healthy and productive life like I am.

That's a wonderful, rather funny, story. As a writer, I would suggest that you have someone edit or proof your writing before posting.
That's interesting because I knew a great man once, Herbert O. Morrison, the man who witnessed and broadcast the Hindenburg explosion. As president of our little West Virginia community, at 73, he got up inside a dump truck to free some coal ash stuck in it while putting coal ash on our icy drives and fell down into the impeller hole. Luckily, he only hurt his ankle a bit. I posted his story here under my story section.
