 Ezra's Ghosts (Book) - 4/28/2025 8:32:17 AM
What would you do if somebody told you that your husband had committed murder? Would you believe that your loving husband was capable of murder? Taking it a step further, what if the one who told you that he was a murderer, was an actual victim of your husband?! Ezra is our main character. She is a successful author of ghost stories but she is also a clairvoyant... And, although nobody knows it, her books are actually nonfiction stories about those individuals who have died and she helped move on into the light... Ezra is also still early in her honeymoon period and is very happy with Grant, remembering often how she felt each morning as they made love. He was so loving... Jenna picked up her words on the wind and had come to hunt for her, as a new ghost who was trying to figure out what to do next. Her ghost had left her watery grave after having been murdered... She, at least, figured out she had died and could remember that man's face as he had attacked her... Ezra had been able to purchase a new home based upon her earnings, so Grant had just moved in with her. He did not know, then, that Allie, a ghost, was living in the attic, who was shy but made no trouble for Ezra as they were working through what options were available to her.. She, too, had been murdered in her teens and was still struggling with that trauma... Ezra had never had any problem with any of those who had died unexpectedly and had little understanding what happened afterward. In fact, she had never had any of these lost souls lie to her, but she was positive that Jenna had lied... Jenna knew she was not lying and she decided that she wasn't interested in going into the light--she was immediately afraid on behalf of Ezra and vowed not to leave until the truth about her new husband was proven... And, soon, Grant had forced Ezra to reveal that there were ghosts in her house...and he wasn't happy. After a heated discussion, he left... and threatened that he didn't know when he'd be back... In the meantime, Jenna went into details of exactly how she had been married... And then, Ezra napped and had a horrible dream which revealed even more! Allie had also been murdered as a teenager by Grant! And both ghosts then began to learn more about their abilities as a ghost... And planned on ensuring in one way or another that their murderer was convicted for their deaths! And that proved to be quite fun for readers... When Grant threatened to expose that Ezra's books were really nonfiction, she became worried that her "gift" would be exposed and fans would turn against her... Once again, Plaisance takes readers into a tour of the supernatural and keeps us interested right from the beginning. After all, having a ghost for a friend could prove to be advantageous, don't you think? Do check out another enjoyable book from this prolific author! The Wizard of Swamp Alley IN the Land of Sha Bebe (Book) - 8/22/2023 9:20:08 AM
This third book in the five-book series of the Adventures of the Sha Bebe Dolls has been rewritten and corrected for errors through Grammarly. I'm sure there are a few more errors, but it's on AMAZON published by ME, not by Author House. It's the same story with a different book cover. I hope you enjoy THE WIZARD OF SWAMP ALLEY. ---- A Cajun Wizard named Antoine Clement Hebert lives near Swamp Alley which is behind The Land of Sha Bebe. He keeps the balance between this side and the other side, by playing his fiddle, but he was kidnapped by “them”. Today, the Ghosts of Swamp Alley protect the ones on this side from the opposite presence who occupy the other side. Who or what is this presence, and where is this place that has the Wizard trapped? Could he be in the dreaded Land of Lackluster? Marie La Vie yelled, "Oh Moi gris-gris," at the thought of Antoine being there, and she explains this other place very well. It's a place that has always existed all over the world ----even today, it still exists. Sometimes, the presence of the other side may be near YOU. The Wizard of Swamp Alley is centered around Halloween when the veil between this side and the other side is at its thinnest, and the Wizard is gone. Who has the knowledge to return the Wizard to his homeland, so that the Sha Bebe dolls can leave for the famous Halloween run of the quilts that are elaborately put on by Madame Poulette every year? It’s a chilling read, yet still entertaining. And as always, it’s ... Dedicated to the Spirit of Louisiana
 A Generation Gone Bye (Book) - 2/28/2023 8:37:51 PM
BEGINNING OF CHAPTER 9 OF 20 CHAPTERS Charlotte and Audrey arrived at Barbara’s house a little after 10:30. Barbara was still in a pissy mood. “Finally, both of you got back. The men were holding off on grilling the prime rib until you returned. I’ll tell them you’re back. Stay right there at my counter.” “We looked all over for that damn punch bowl… even in the garage. It’s nowhere to be found. Did we ever let you use it?” Charlotte said jokingly to change her mood. “No, I never did care for punch.” Barbara kept adding pineapples and fruits to her ambrosia salad. All that was left on her countertop was the shredded coconut. “Audrey, doesn’t that look like my punch bowl?” She winked at Audrey to go along with her to maybe cheer up Barbara. “It sort of does. Yes.” Audrey smiled. “This isn’t a punch bowl, Charlotte. Look at it. It’s my ambrosia salad bowl. I always used this bowl to make my special ambrosia salad. Look at it well. It’s my tall-stem ambrosia crystal bowl. You would know that if you and Audrey watched more of that Julia Child cooking show.” Charlotte had had enough of Barbara’s attitude. “What’s wrong with you? Is it only that you didn’t want us in your living room watching a cooking show? Only that got you upset?” “No. Well, maybe yes.” “Well, tell us what’s wrong. You can talk to us.” Barbara kept stirring her ambrosia faster. The spoon was hitting the sides of the bowl to the point that they thought the bowl would crack. “If you keep stirring that salad like that, you might chip your crystal bowl. I’m not eating that if they have glass in it. Calm down, and talk to us.” Audrey was pleading with Barbara to calm down. She threw her spoon on her countertop. “Okay… I’ll say what’s on my mind. Both of you were here early. Earlier than usual while I was at church. I thought that you didn’t like getting up early to go to church on Sunday… a holy day of obligation. What are the both of you going to do for Christmas or Easter… for Lent? There won’t be any more traditions that you’ll follow. My God, that’s sacrilegious. Wait right here, I need to show you something I found. I’ll be right back.” “Barbara, we said we don’t want to go to church at all. We’ll still celebrate the holidays.” She kept walking out of the kitchen to get something to show them. “She didn’t hear a damn thing I said.” Charlotte was annoyed. “Oh my God,” Audrey became nervous. “Are we going to fuss again? I don’t like this at all.” “I’m not going to fuss, Audrey. She started her shit again, and this time I’m going to finish it. She got upset with you, first. Do you still feel the same about church?” “I don’t want to go back to church. Weddings and funerals, you know, stuff like that we’re invited to, I’ll be there, but… no I don’t want to go back every Sunday.” Barbara came back into the kitchen with a small book. It was their communion book along with a few photos she tossed on the countertop. “Remember this book?” Both of them said no. She tossed a few photos at them. “Remember these photos? That book was our first communion book, and Mama took a few photos of us in church. Doesn’t that still mean anything to you? We are Catholics. Christians who followed all of the rules of the church. Remember?” Audrey and Charlotte looked at the photos. “I remember this church,” said Audrey. “Wow, look at all of the people that used to go to church. It’s not full like that anymore. I think they all got tired of hearing the same thing all the time, same as me and Charlotte.” “These three girls are us,” Barbara kept tapping the photo with her index finger. “What happened to the two of you? This was sacred to us and our family. And Audrey, dear… people stopped going to church because of all of these nasty pedophile rumors. It’s just not true!” Charlotte was angrier but was trying to stay calm. “Barbara, I remember being there because I see these photos. If there was no photo, I would have no memory of this. If this is still sacred to you, good. I don’t remember. Get it? Audrey, do you remember this day?” Shaking, she answered, “Frankly, I don’t remember this day. I only remember the church.” Barbara was at her boiling point. “Oh, my God. Both of you are not religious at all, are you? You both need to have God inside of you.” “We said that three weeks ago, Barbara. What part of “we don’t want to go to church anymore” DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND? We don’t like the dogma of any churches… and they keep taking money from people who think they can buy their way into Heaven. It doesn’t work that way. Plus, I have God inside of me. I can pray and love God in my own home. I don’t need any priest or preacher to tell me what’s right and what’s wrong. Our parents taught us that at home. And right now, if you don’t know you’re wrong, you’re in a cult for speaking to me and Audrey like this. We’ve been through this already.” Barbara took her ambrosia bowl and flipped it over on the counter. Then, she took the small communion book and threw it at Charlotte. It hit her shoulder. “Stop this, Barbara! What the hell is wrong with you? You were fine for lunch this week. Are you going through menopause or something because you should be over that shit by now? Barbara, I swear if you don’t…” “You’re a sick ass, Charlotte… the same as Audrey. That’s what’s wrong. Both of you are SICK… sicker than I ever thought!” “WHAT? I’m a sick ass!” Audrey said loudly. “Where in the hell did you come up with that word? I never heard that before coming out of anyone’s mouth.” Audrey was shocked, and Charlotte was furious. She took one bag of the opened shredded coconut and threw it at Barbara leaving the countertop looking like snow had fallen all over it. At that moment, Audrey took the other opened bag and threw it in her face. Barbara was stunned that they would confront her the same way she did to them. She had shredded coconut all over her hair. “Let me tell you this one more time, Barbara.” Charlotte was on a roll with her anger at her sister. “Audrey and I told you to do what you want to do with your life and we’ll do what we want with ours. Leave us out of your church life. Don’t ever bring that up again or….” “Or you’ll do what, Charlotte? I’m the oldest and both of you are breaking a promise to Mama we made on her dying bed. Both of you are as sick as they come.” “Barbara, Mama’s been dead for fifteen years! We kept that promise long enough. Yeah, you’re the oldest sister and right now you’re totally out of control. You’re stubborn as a mule. And for a science teacher who is about to retire as the principal of a school… you don’t have ANY common sense. You’re one big pain in the ass!” Barbara lunged over her kitchen counter and grabbed Charlotte’s throat, and Charlotte pulled her hair so hard that some of it ended in her hands. Both were still over the counter edging their way around to get into a fighting match with Barbara saying, “I’ll hurt you bad”, and Charlotte said, “You can’t hurt me anymore you bitch!” Stunned and in panic mode, Audrey ran out the back door to get the guys. She was freaking out. “Hurry, come inside! Barbara and Charlotte are fighting. I don’t know what to do. Help them stop.” Entering the kitchen Mat and John pulled them apart and told them in a stern voice to sit down at the kitchen table and shut up. Mat led the conversation.
 Vampire Compound (Book) - 12/8/2022 6:36:11 PM
Chapter 12 Everyone said goodbye to Vlad Black in France. Junior shapeshifted his vampire body into a dragon, and Drake, Benton, and Bridget hopped on his large back. They were heading back home to New Orleans to let Mazy, Darcy, and Oliver know what was going on. Mazy was a nervous wreck as she smoked a blunt to stay calm. Oliver was in worse shape than Mazy and Darcy, but he didn't want anything to dull his senses. He felt helpless because he didn’t know where to begin looking for his love, Joni. He paced. That helped him cope. “I hope she’s okay and the baby too. I will kill Harper if she harms Joni,” Oliver told Mazy and Darcy as he paced around the statue of Lily White on the patio in the compound. “She’s an evil vampire to take Joni away from us like that. From ME! Joni is my wife!” he cried. “She had no right to do that. Staying in France is where she belongs… with her aunt and her orgy vampire balls. Not with my Joni.” Oliver couldn’t sit still, and with each minute that passed by, he became angrier. “My Joni is good. She never harmed anyone, and she wants this baby so badly. Harper will pay for this. I promise she will pay.” Darcy and Jason tried to calm Oliver down, but no words consoled him. “Gram and Uncle Jason… all I need to do right now is pace this floor until I hear what’s going on in France. I love you both, but please don’t ask me to stop doing what’s helping me. I miss my Joni… so much.” Darcy and Jason let Oliver have his moment of despair when suddenly Junior and the rest of the crew dropped into the compound from mid-air. “Drake, did you see Joni anywhere?” Oliver was in tears. “Please tell me she’s alive and well.” “She is alive and well, but Harper has her, and she wants her baby. That’s the reason she took her away, and she was following her every move… and ours.” “Where are they? I will kill Harper with my own hands for doing this to Joni. Take our baby? No way! I will kill Harper. I swear I will. And…” Drake interrupted Oliver. “Calm down. All of you take a seat immediately. There’s no time to waste. Bridget will tell you the condensed version of what happened. It’s a long story for being only a few hours in France, but we need to get going to the hidden cabin, and only Bridget knows where it is.” Bridget condensed what happened in France to everyone in a matter of five minutes. It was time to see who would go with Bridget to the hidden cabin near the Rock’s Edge. Everyone wanted to go and rescue Joni from Harper, but Bridget clapped her hands and asked for quiet. “Junior is the only one who can fly faster than anyone of us and shapeshift quickly into a dragon if we need protection. He’s huge as a dragon. Let us do the same as we did in France, but this time Oliver comes with us.” “I’m ready. Let’s go now. Drake, I’d die if I can’t have Joni in my life. I’m ready to face anything for her.” Bridget continued. “Junior, Drake, Oliver, and I will go and bring Joni back home. I know how to deliver a baby if she’s in labor.” “What about me?” asked Benton. “You will be needed here, just in case Vlad Black doesn’t keep his promise about never coming near us again. Benton, my dear, if he would come here, it would be at night. As he said, he can’t take the light because he’s a different species of vampire, but I’m positive you can handle Vlad.” Bridget gave him a sultry look. “Off with his head if he shows up at the compound.” “Yes, I can handle Vlad. I’ll protect the compound here for as long as you’re gone. I hope it’s not too long. I will miss you. The four of you go. Bring Joni home.” “I will miss you too, Benton. Carry on with honor.” Mazy chimed in along with Darcy. “We’re so stressed, Bridget. Darcy and I have been crying for hours, and the tears don’t stop. Joni’s baby is our granddaughter. We already love her. Please bring them both home safely. Please. We would be of no help to anyone right now.” Mazy and Darcy were embraced with their eyes red and swollen from crying so much. Mazy said. “Oh, Heaven above, give me the strength to endure anything that this life brings to me.” Darcy replied, “You have an amen from me. It breaks my heart to see my grandson so broken-hearted. Oliver has been extremely protective of Joni since they were children,” she wiped her face as she sniffled. “Remember the day when my son Jason brought Oliver home to me, Bridget? Jason and Oliver are all I have left. Remember when Jason told me that my daughter had died? I can’t….” “Miss Darcy, I remember all of that. I feel your pain. I remember everything in every family I served. My memory is not failing, but we have to leave.” “Yes… yes,” she answered Bridget and then turned to Oliver. “Give Gram a tight hug. Bring Joni back home.” Mazy embraced Oliver along with Darcy. “Oliver, we must leave now,” said Bridget. Bridget was as anxious as the family was. In every way, the Taylors were her family. After decades of being of service to everyone in that household, feelings ran deep inside of her for each one she loved. Departing the compound on the back of Junior’s dragon body, Bridget was Junior’s GPS telling him, “Turn right when you reach the Capitol building in Washington DC. Then, keep going until you reach a large area of oak trees with plenty of moss. From this height, the oak trees will appear to be a large gray area, but the entire place is green. We need to get down into that area of trees. We’ll walk until we find the hidden cabin that’s not far away from The Rock’s Edge.” “I see the gray area, Miss Bridget. Hold on for landing.” Everyone slid down Junior’s back and began to walk in the wooded area to find the hidden cabin. Oliver asked as they began walking, “Is The Rock’s Edge a monument of some kind? Does it have a sign?” “No, dear. You will know it by the sound of the echoes of the souls who were thrown over the edge by the Despot Police in our government. They moan and groan in the pit over The Rock’s Edge. Horrific sounds and site. After we find Joni, we need to do something about this corrupt government. Most of them are evil vampires. Those need to be decapitated and thrown into the pit with the ones the Despot Police harmed for no reason at all so the Dictator could stay in power. Our world is falling apart bit by bit. The planet will survive, but humans will not if something isn’t done to cleanse the corrupt ones.” “That’s a fact,” answered Drake. “Junior and I see horrible things happening in the streets of New Orleans every day. I can only imagine in DC.” “Miss Bridget, are we almost there? My heart is pounding with anticipation of finding Joni. I know she’s in a bad place. I just know it.” Oliver was becoming angrier and more impatient as they walked through the oak trees. “I was here many centuries ago. Things have changed in a hundred years, but I know now that we’re going in the right direction. Listen! I can hear the distant moaning of the lost souls in the pit of The Rock’s Edge.” “I hear the moaning!” Oliver raced towards the sound. Bridget yelled at him to stop running. “Why, Miss Bridget? Let’s hurry to find Joni.” “Because you may fall over the edge. This is a very mysterious place to be. Oliver, stop.” When Oliver stopped running, he waited for the rest to join him where he stood. “What’s the deal, Miss Bridget?” “There are sinkholes in some places near the edge. The Despot Police know where they are. I don’t. Stay in the wooded area. It’s safer here. Keep looking for the cabin. It’s under the oak trees, not near The Rock’s Edge. This is a restricted area only for the government, and Harper knows this. Vlad Black told her.” Drake whispered to Bridget. “Look ahead. I see a light in what seems to be a cottage. Think that’s it?” “Yes, that’s the hidden cottage. I remember. How shall we approach the place without Harper harming Joni?” “I don’t know,” answered Drake. “Let’s discuss this for a moment.” Oliver wanted to rush into the cabin. “We can’t do that. It’s too dangerous for Joni. Come on Oliver. Think.” Drake said, “I’m just as anxious as you are, but the health of Joni comes first. Remember what Vlad Black said.” “I AM thinking. I’m thinking that Joni will go into labor alone. I’m thinking that Harper will take our baby if she delivers. I’m thinking Harper will kill Joni. I’m angry and afraid for Joni’s life. That’s what I’m thinking about.” “WAIT!” Bridget said loudly. “I smell the odor of surströmming. Harper is near, and Joni took her ruby. It has to be that Harper told her the secret of the ruby, and Joni took it. I know this. Let’s go into the cabin, now.” Everyone raced to the front door and crashed it in. Searching everywhere inside, but there was no one there. Oliver went outside and yelled for Joni. “It’s Oliver, Joni. We’re here to help you and bring you home. Let us know where you are.” Oliver screamed. Joni! Joni!”
The Vampire Drake Returns (Book) - 8/17/2021 7:40:13 PM
Calmly, Mazy answered, “Because you were so young, and I thought it would be best not to tell you. It’s that simple. Your dad and I were just married here in New Orleans, and we didn’t have a tomb, so we placed Junior here in my parents’ tomb. When you died, I wanted you to be with your grandparents and your older brother. Does that make sense to you?” ionia.com.vn
The Vampire Drake Returns (Book) - 8/12/2021 4:11:08 PM
EXCERPT Mazy began staring into the mirror. She didn’t see Lily White. She waited for a face to come to her inside of the mirror. Her thoughts stayed in the present. If it wasn’t the face of Drake, she had questions to anyone who appeared in that mirror. Suddenly, Mazy saw only Drake’s face clearly in a gray fog. Feeling faint, she covered her mouth with her hands at the sight of her dead son, with fangs to avoid gasping. It was shocking for her to see Drake as the vampire he was. But she had to stay calm and compose herself, and she did. The three men who stayed with her in the back of the room noticed her on the floor, and one attempted to help her up. She told him she was okay, but they didn’t see Drake. Touching the mirror, she called his name. “Drake, it’s me… your mother. I’m shaking. This is the only way we could think of to get me in this shop. I’m dressed like a man and sneaked in with the rest. I’ll take off the mustache if you want.” “No, Mother. I know who you are. I can’t stay here long. You need to help me get back to Earth.” “What? How? If you can see in the mirror, are you still in your urn in the tomb? I’m confused and so nervous.” “Yes, I’m still in my urn. It’s sealed shut as well as the marble on the front of the tomb. Please let me out of here. I’ll explain everything.” Mazy was mortified. “Drake, you wanted to drink blood from Joni. You didn’t care if she died because she’s not a vampire. So, I did what I promised you I’d do when you were dying in Tennessee. I brought Joni with me to New Orleans, and Harper is with Helen’s three sisters in Tennessee. So why would you want to come back here? And why should I help you after you showed yourself not to care about your child?” “Because Cline and Saffron are evil. They were in my Congregation. I wasn’t as evil and them. I know them well. Mother, they want Joni and a little redhead boy. I hear them speaking in here when they’re alone. They don’t see me. I see them. I don’t know about a red-haired boy, but don’t let them take Joni. Please, Mother. Keep her inside.” “Why would they want Joni and Oliver? His name is Oliver, and he’s my best friends’ grandson. They play together, go to the same school, and they’re the same age.” “I know. I hear them say that. These vampires are obsessed with the number eight. Both of the children are eight years old, and they will not stop going after them to take them away until they reach the age of nine, Mother.” “But why eight?” “Because when the number 8 is sideways ∞, it means infinity. Infinity goes on forever. It’s infinite. It’s never-ending, and God created vampires on the 8th day. This group begins turning eight-year-olds into vampires by biting them in the neck little by little until they bite deep before reaching nine years old. I never did that, Mother.” “Oh, my Heavens above. In July, they reach the age of nine! That’s eight months away.” “I know, and the group will not stop going after them. I will stop them, Mother. Me and Junior. Keep her away from all bats. Please, Mother. Help me get out of this tomb.” “I don’t know if that’s possible. I just can’t go to the tomb and break it open!” Mazy was whispering forcefully. “I know. Go to the church and ask permission to open the tomb. You’re the only one who can help me.” “Where’s Helen and her dad?” “They’re in a tomb in Tennessee and stuck inside, the same way I am. There’s no mirror to communicate with them. There’s no mural in Tennessee. Vampires know about the legend of the mural. It’s a vampire who drew it for occasions like this. But there are not many murals. The statue guards all evil. Lily White is not evil.” Mazy was speechless for almost a minute. “Mother?” “Will you promise to protect Joni?” she blurted out in a low whispered anger that she didn’t know she had inside of her for Drake. “Yes, I promise. I will protect you and your friends as well. Is there anyone you want me to protect? I’ll protect all of them. Joni wasn’t going to die. You’ll just have to trust me on that. I have powers, Mother.” “What kind of powers?” Mazy suddenly became amazingly calmer. “I can run like the wind, and I can shapeshift.” “What is that?” “I can turn into anything I want at any time. But, Mother, I saw an older brother who died at two years old in this tomb. Why didn’t you tell me?” Calmly, Mazy answered, “Because you were so young, and I thought it would be best not to tell you. It’s that simple. Your dad and I were just married here in New Orleans, and we didn’t have a tomb, so we placed Junior here in my parents’ tomb. When you died, I wanted you to be with your grandparents and your older brother. Does that make sense to you?” “Yes, it does. You were always thoughtful in family matters, but I talked to Junior. Mother, he’s a vampire too. So when I get out of the tomb, he’s going to be with me.” “Oh, my Heaves above, help me!” Mazy’s calmness went away, and she began crying. “Will I ever see him? I don’t know how much more I can handle.” “Only if you want to. That would be your choice.”

A Bridge to Lily White - Part One (Book) - 5/2/2021 12:05:18 AM
This story will be a page-turner for most people. It's a story of a mother's love for her children, and her grandchildren, no matter how old they are and who they become in their life. Even if one is a vampire. NOT YOUR TYPICAL VAMPIRE STORY, but none of my stories are typical. 224 pages. Simple to read. --- Plaisance was born in Louisiana and all of her stories take place in some small town in La. If the story leads her into a city, it's always New Orleans. Her writing is simple but her stories are deeply enthralled with drama, same as her life. Drama Mama, wrapped into one big bundle of hope in the end. Always fiction. Always bold. There's always a story because there's always something going on. Life is ebb and flow, so let your pen roll. Spill out your words on paper. Tomorrow is promised to no one. This Louisiana Author who's known as The Drama Mama is also known as The Sha Bebe Lady. She has five fantasy books about a magical doll land and nine books of fiction in different genres in The Drama Mama Series

My Dad IS a Hero (Book) - 12/4/2020 4:58:05 AM
I read my wife’s book. I knew her dad well. He was a kind man. I agree with everything in her book. I didn’t know the struggles of her helping her dad. I didn’t know how much her dad went through. I’m Glad she wrote this book. We both lost friends we knew well in Vietnam and and the gulf war. Too many came back messed up in the head. The last page says why our people fight over there so their people don’t come here to fight wars. God bless America. Thank a veteran today.
My Dad IS a Hero (Book) - 12/1/2020 10:57:03 AM
I am proud to understand your concern about your father who succeeded regardless of disabling blindness that war brought him without compensation. And I understand your anger at Pres. Trump dismissing soldiers wounded in battle or killed quickly or slowly and considering them losers for dying. My uncle is resting comfortably in College Station after 20 years (1941-1961) as a major in the Air Force and some consulting after in Vietnam at 101. His oldest brother and my mother's brother fought in the infantry and airborne. Both divorced their wives with children and married again during the war. Both had PTSD. Became alcoholics. The first became a Chicago cabdriver with emphysema that resulted in his death early. The other left his business, his second wife and three children to disappear until he died early. Ron

#Veterans For FOUR YEARS he spoke like a mad man with NO empathy for anyone. He only thought of himself as becoming a ruler like a dictator. What he did to the LIVING is what I call genocide. THEN he disrespected the veterans who DIED for this country! He called veterans losers! He is a coward and a draft dodger who faked his bone spurs to stay out of the service. On the other hand... my DAD as well as many of your DADS and family members were all HEROS by enlisting and serving THIS country and not kissing up to dictators of other countries. OUR country fights over there, so WE don't need to fight over here! We will remain a FREE country with no dictator in power over the people in the USA............ AMEN and PEACE

Excerpt from UNDER THE HEALING DOME “Tootsie, you took mama out of her grave? What in the hell are you talking about… and who’s Joe? You were dead when I brought you under the healing dome.” At this point, Celee was so confused that she felt like she had little wheels running inside of her head as she watched Tootsie towel dry the dishes and then meticulously put them back into the kitchen cabinets. She was so calm. “It took me a month to get half of her coffin out of the ground. Then, Joe came from New Orleans and helped me with the digging. I don’t know what I would have done without his help, and you undone all of that. He helped me so much.” “Who’s Joe?” Celee screamed out again. “The man I met in New Orleans when we took the Greyhound bus to City Park. You were getting us something to eat at the food stand, and I was sitting on the bench of the park picnic table. Remember that day?” “Yea, I remember that day. That’s the day I saw you in that crystal ball.” Celee took a seat again at the kitchen table. “Go on, tell me your story. I’m interested in hearing what you have to say. Go on. I’m listening.” “Well, Joe came and sit with me while you got the food. He said I was pretty. No man ever told me I was pretty before. They always telling you how pretty you are. But I like that he told me that, so I gave him our phone number to call me. I told him I couldn’t call him, because you wouldn’t let me… because I was only 15… but when I told him I was almost 16, he did call me, and he kept saying how pretty I was on the phone. He even said he was going to take care of me when I was 16.” “Take care of you? How?” “He said he was going to make a woman out of me, and he did. After he helped me get mama’s coffin out of the ground, he made love to me on her coffin so mama could see I was a woman.” “Oh my God! Tootsie what you saying is wrong, baby girl. That man raped you… and he killed you. Daddy told me the whole story before the police officer shot him dead. He raped you!” “Daddy? He’s not my daddy. He’s your daddy. I heard what he said at the healing dome. I heard grandma saying the same thing, too. I heard a lot of things they didn’t want you to hear. When I would hear them talking about me, they always told me…don’t tell Celee. That’s what I always heard. Celee is light and you dark. So, I didn’t tell you.” “Tootsie, how could you “hear” this? You were only two when mama died. Grandma died a few years later. You didn’t speak well and…” “Voices talk to me in the graveyard. The voices always sound like mama and grandma. You know how that is. They talk to you, but you never told me any of this, Celee. I had to learn this on my own.” “I don’t hear voices in the graveyard! I heal people, Tootsie. I pray and I go to church. I don’t…” Trader Paw almost opened the door to stop them from talking but he stayed where he was. Celee took a deep breath. “Okay, you getting me mad Tootsie. First you tell me you hearing mama, and grandma, and voices in the graveyard. You dig up mama from her grave. A man you never knew before rapes you on our mama’s coffin. God almighty Tootsie. I would say all of that is dark, because it sure in the hell don’t sound like anything good to me.” Celee was annoyed as she continued. “And our “daddy” did say that he wasn’t sure you were his child, okay, but I never heard that said by mama and grandma. He hitched a ride with that man you say is Joe… to come and find us…” Celee was out of breath talking in anger. “He said he was dying and that he really loved mama. He told me he saw that man hitting and raping you and he couldn’t fight him off of you because he was older than that young man… so he left to get a shotgun. He stole a shotgun to kill the man you say loved you, but when he got back, you weren’t there, you were with me under the ceiling dome. What that man did to you was wrong, Tootsie!” “It wasn’t wrong. I let Joe make love to me. He loved me.” Tootsie was still calm. Not jittery as usual with her boundless energy. “He was a no-good man. He told me he didn’t kill you, but he was lying! There was no one else there, and you were dead when I got there. Tootsie, he killed you, and I beat him with a shovel on his head until he was dead. He’s not in jail, he’s dead!” “So, you killed the man I loved?” The song was ending on the pile of records that Celee had put on, and the next song dropped on the h-fi . “Yes. I beat him with that shovel and hurried up to bring you to the healing dome to help you. There’s nothing evil in helping someone. I didn’t know I could bring anyone back to life. But you came back to me. That’s not dark work. I never heard of such a thing. But what you just told me about being dark… well, that’s sure not what I ever did.” Celee was crying and upset. Tootsie poured the tea into the cup, and began talking faster. One quick sentence after the other. Her tone had changed. “Celee, I’m different. I’m not slow. I’m not dumb. I never was. I only had one eye smaller than the other. Thank you for making both my eyes the same size. I love my light blue sparking eyes.” Tootsie smiled wickedly. “Now… drink your tea.” She shoved the cup in front of Celee. Celee immediately stopped crying, stood up, and said firmly again that she didn’t want her damn tea. With a disgusted look on her face that she didn’t even know she had, she said, “Did you poison the tea?” “Yes, I did, Celee. Rat poison. Mama told ne to use rat poison. If I had put it in the milk, you would have seen the milk wasn’t white. Drink your tea. Now… you upsetting me. I made it just for you.” Trader Paw heard every word and went to get his shotgun. This had gone too far. “You are crazy, girl. I mean, Tootsie… you really are crazy. Joe was right about that one before I smashed his skull in.” Celee was numb. Tootsie all of a sudden became furious. “Yes, I am crazy! Mama told me I was crazy. She said I was just like her and not like you. She said I was born like this. People told her she was wild and crazy, too. She had the blessing sometimes… but only when she was good. Grandma had it too. We all had the blessing! But mama told me that my blessing would come to me only when I felt dark inside and not to use it for dark. So, I couldn’t use it at all. But I wanted to use it. Bad. Yes, I wanted to use it so bad. You never told me how to use the dark, Celee!” “For the last time…I don’t know how to use dark blessings, Tootsie! Good Lord Almighty! I can’t believe all of this.” Celee was overwhelmed. “Well, it’s all true. So, drink your tea. If you don’t drink your tea, I’ll use another way to kill you.” Tootsie became calm again. She walked around the table and tried to show her dark side by pulling her two shoulders back like she was showing her strength, showing her teeth like a mad dog, humming, and shinning her light blue eyes at Celee. “You want to kill me? Really! After we are so close as sisters, you want to kill me, Tootsie? Why would you want to kill me?” “I want you dead because you were always first. You were always number one in everything. I ride you at night like mama told me and you still keep doing good healings. You know, I’m a healer too… anyway it’s dark healing.” “Shut up, Tootsie!” “It’s doing no good things. I figured that out for myself, Celee. If light healings are for good, then guess what… dark healings must be for bad things… like killing and hurting people, and doing tricky stuff… and…” “Shut up, Tootsie! Just shut up! I don’t want to hear another foul word coming out of your mouth!” “Oh, you gonna here a lot more… foul words coming out of my mouth if you don’t drink that tea. Oh yea! I was going to bury you with mama, but you went and fixed her all back in her grave. Why you undo everything I fix… I don’t know.” The music kept on playing low in the background and Trader Paw was still listening at the door with his shotgun in hand. Another record dropped and The Platters were playing now. “You want me to die. I can’t figure why?” “Because you too good and you not dark. I wanted you to be more like me. Can’t you be mean sometimes? Why you always so good?” “Because I’m not mean, Tootsie. I’m not dark like you call it. I wasn’t born dark or mean. Meanness don’t just happen overnight. Why I never saw you being mean before now? Huh?” Tootsie was furious again. “Because I had to do everything you said and Mama told me to be good!” She screamed. “Calm down Tootsie. I can get you some help. There’s a doctor in New Orleans, and…” “I don’t want no help. I want you to be like me! Here, this is your cake. Happy birthday. I know you not gonna drink that tea, but I’m still gonna kill you. I’ll do it another way.” “I don’t want no cake!” Celee was past upset. “You won’t drink the tea I made for you. You won’t eat the cake I baked for you. You just plain selfish.” Tootsie grabbed a handful of the rainbow cake and threw it at Celee. Celee ducked and the cake hit the wall just as the cuckoo clock began its twelve cuckoos for midnight. Tootsie opened the cabinet drawer. “My purse! Give it to me, Tootsie. Now!” “Nope. I have the piece of the dome that was left in your hand. I knew you saved it in your purse. I can use it the same as you did. Mama said I was dark. You brought me back to life. I can take your life.” Trader Paw opened the kitchen door, swiftly. “Tootsie stop it right now. I heard everything. Put that piece of the healing dome on the floor. Drop it! Put it down right now or I’m gonna shoot you. I know Miss Celee won’t do it, but I will.” “Trader Paw… no!” Celee was stuck again. She didn’t know where to turn. What to do? Tootsie began saying the words to the Trinity. Angeli plena gratia, precari, sanitatem trinitatem Angeli plena gratia, precari, sanitatem trinitatem Angeli plena gratia, precari, sanitatem trinitatem. **_________________** “Tootsie! Stop saying those words. You don’t know anything about those words. Stop it!” “I saw you do it a thousand times. I can do the same thing. I’ll kill you with your own words, Celee. You can’t stop me. I’m dark and you not.” “Tootsie, you can’t take those words and…” Celee’s songs finished and the next record to drop on the hi-fi was the song… I Put a Spell on You. “That’s my song that Joe bought me,” Tootsie said. She smiles at Celee wickedly, and looked at her with her shinny blue eyes. Her skin began to turn pink as she said Celee’s words again. Angeli plena gratia, precari, sanitatem trinitatem Angeli plena gratia, precari, sanitatem trinitatem Angeli …... can’t breathe…. Help me… Celee was going to help Tootsie, and Trader Paw yelled. “Don’t touch her! She’s a boo hag! My grandma told me about them. Don’t touch her, Miss Celee! She will kill you or turn you into her. She already said she wants to kill you. She’s dark… evil. She’ll take your skin!” “Tootsie, you wouldn’t kill me, would you?” “Celee…. Help me…… I can’t breathe.” “Miss Celee, NO! Don’t help her. She’s tricking you into touching her. She’ll take your skin!”
Do you believe In the Land of Sha Bebe (Book) - 2/18/2020 9:26:43 PM
I'm rewriting the first little book I had published in 2004. The price listed on Amazon is NOT my listing. The book is only 88 pages and I've asked... WHY IS THE PRICE SO HIGH? *at one time, it was priced at 999.00* My answer was because of the unusual cover. People collect books with unusual covers. I DESIGNED THAT COVER AND I WILL BE USING THE SAME COVER FOR THE SECOND PRINTING. This is the FIRST book about the adventures in the magical doll land of the Sha Bebe, where dolls are alive as you and me. Like in Shriek and other animated adventures, but different. THE SECOND EDITION SHOULD GO LIVE IN MARCH. THANK YOU

The Small Chandelier (Book) - 2/7/2019 2:36:15 PM
I found it fascinating that this author, taking a concern from her present life, could pound out a story of how she would fix things if her fantasy could come true! I was told that the small chandelier presently resides in her Louisiana shop. Yet he takes that one item and builds around it to represent "good" and moves on from there... Jenny and Joseph, the main character couple, have been able to build up sufficient funds to buy a small, cottage for Jenny to open her own shop, "Jenny's Parlor of Beauty... Everybody was excited about the new location. And with a little chandelier that was already in the house, Jenny had been able to create a small cozy waiting area for her clients. They had been both shocked when they learned that the chandelier was always lit and had been since built years ago...There was no power lines and no light switch. Yet the glow welcomed all who came... Until one day, it was Joseph who came to the shop, looking for something--anything to help Jenny... and the chandelier talked... Jenny had been bitten, it was thought, by a large snake as Jenny and Joseph were working in the Shop's yard. Jenny had screamed and screamed when the snake came toward her and she cried that she had been bitten. Joseph looked but there were no bite marks and no sign of the snake. Before long, however, Jenny's leg was turning blue and she was losing consciousness... When the doctors came back out from their check, they verified that she had not been bitten...but there was definitely something that had been done to her leg...Most surprisingly, they discovered that her blood was blue...but had concluded that everything else was working fine and that she should regain consciousness soon... But they were going to call in specialists to check on her blood color... But while she slept, Ruth, her mother, started talking to Joseph about what was going on in the news. New York was being bombed... They talked about Jenny having felt concern for something like this for years, and both had realized that Jenny had a sixth sense about things beyond what they felt. But Jenny didn't awaken. Finally, in desperation, Joseph visited Jenny's Shop... First, he went back to see if he could recover Jenny's hat which had been swept under the house when the ambulance left. Immediately he heard a hiss and went to get a broom...He pushed that under, heard another hiss, and realized that there was no way he could pull her hat out at this point...But there was definitely a snake living there! Later he went into the shop and heard a soft feminine voice telling him to sit under the chandelier. She told him, "I am the light..." Holding his breath in amazement and distrust, he still was willing to hear what she said... First she explained about the snake, that the snake had chosen Jenny because she was good, and that her hat served as a connection to Jenny... But she explained that Joseph had a part too...She gave him instructions that he had to follow because Jenny was needed to help save the world from destruction. She was the 20th person needed and the time had finally come to move on a plan that had been put into place decades ago... The time was now--as long as Joseph was able to do what he had to do to help Jenny evolve... Even after I finished this book several days ago, I am still amazed as to the creative imagination needed to fold today's world, into a fantasy realm that was found on another planet, so that our world could be saved...through magic... For surely we know that is not the way of earth...war after war and deadly radicals and leaders have proven that... Sure, it's fantasy, but, you know, I loved how the book ended... Sometimes justice takes somebody with blue blood, different from we humans that can't seem to make our way through to peace... Meaningful, insightful, unforgettable. The book is just plain fun. I loved it and might even say it's my favorite of Plaisance's books...at least until I read another one... Highly recommended! GABixlerReviews
Cajun Fairies In the Land of Sha Bebe (Book) - 1/19/2019 1:59:53 PM
The first book I read about the Sha Bebe Dolls. The fee fo lay is an old legend that Cajun people told stories about. It’s that light or fire that shoots in the air. Robes Pierre is the bad Cajun fairy. Acadia is the good Cajun fairy. This book is a battle for the good magical doll land of Sha Bebe. I always like the way she ends her stories. There’s drama even in the doll adventure stories. I enjoyed the battle.

The Book of Pilar Grace (Book) - 1/7/2019 10:45:02 AM
This is a remarkable book which highlights the atmosphere of abuse, neglect, and sex trafficking that has become an issue that affects every community in our country and in the world. To say this is not happening in our own backyards, a person has to have their heads in the sand. The author does a remarkable job in showing the extraordinary courage Pilar exhibits in an unbelievable childhood. The incredible lengths a sex trafficker will go to insure complete loyalty is scary. When a community bands together to ignore, well...there is no telling what horrific consequences can befall every person and generations to come. This is certainly an author that has a great writing style and a terrific gift that this reader hopes will continue with another novel. I cannot wait to read it when published. The dialogue between the characters and the description of the surroundings is incredibly real and had this reader in tears as this story enfolds to the last page. I cried for the children, the adults who were tricked, and the betrayals that ensued. The circle this story takes is absolutely amazing and took me completely by surprise. Again, this writer has a stupendous gift. This is a MUST read for anyone who is contemplating have children, has children, works in healthcare, works with the police, is a counselor, or has children in their lives at all. All our children need to be equipped with tools to deal with the unsavory persons in our society and to have the self-confidence and self-esteem to know that they deserve the very best life has to offer. To not give away the journey this book will lead the reader on, but to say it is worth reading this publication to the end. The final act was just as it should be.

I'm back in THE DEN (Short Story) - 10/6/2025 8:11:22 AM
Hello Mary, at least one name I recognise from my previous years here. I have just re-joined THE DEN too. Have not been able to find some of the people I knew back in the early 2000's. Similar experiences health-wise, my husband Jim is now 89 and was diagnosed with heart failure two years ago and was very ill, one doctor pronounced it 'End of Life' and for a while it seemed touch and go. I have been diagnosed with severe degeneration of the spine with nerve damage and am on pain killers that don't help much. A Neurologist from one of our big UK hospitals has informed me he doesn't want to operate on me as it is too risky because of my 'other problems.' I waited almost a year for that phone call, now I have been waiting since May for a call from the Pain Management Clinic! It is a toss-up whether that arrives before the Neurologist calls again in November. Our system is broken. Jim and I have been married 44 years, second for both of us, my first marriage lasted 20 years and felt like a century!! Congratulations on your 60th, that is a real achievement and I hope you both continue to thrive for many more. The Lord's Blessings are New every morning.

Making Beauty from Brokenness (Short Story) - 7/31/2025 9:21:51 AM
It must've been a terrible to observe your daughter behaving like that whenever she has a manic breakdown. But you certainly made lemonade out of lemons when you learn the idea of what to do with those pieces of broken china. One of the things that therapists do to help people with psychological trauma is to have them engage in artwork. You not only got solace from the physical act of placing mortar and pieces of broken china ware into the cracks, you created a beautiful walkway that reminds you of your heritage every time you walk on it. Just like it did when you placed the pieces on your table. Ron

Congratulations on making 60 years. It does seem like we wear out all at the same time and it really changes our priorities. But you're right, all you can do is look forward to the next year and doing better than we have been doing. My latest setback is the flu that seems to been hanging around for nearly a month now. Ron

Ron, Sandi, Eva, and Glenda Thanks so much for the review. I've been absent from The Den for a while because my husband's heart went into A-vib on my birthday. SURPRISE... but since September, he's had a pacemaker and seems to be doing great at this time. NOTE TO GLENDA... GLENDA --- thank you so much for sharing your story. Thank you for the great advice. You're right about envy and jealousy. For those close to us, it hurts the most. From what you have written earlier, I can see that you are a very outgoing and generous person. The kind that would try to please everyone, specially during the holidays. Find peace in your bubble there is something to be said about being alone and having time to reflect rather than agonize over why this or that happened. You'll be surprised how good you will feel. Ron

I Paid Attention (Short Story) - 11/22/2023 9:52:00 AM
I have learned early in life not to put too many expectations on others. The more we expect from others, the more we will become disappointed. That's why I can depend on myself to make myself happy. Did you know that I often felt neglected and "invisible" while growing up? I knew I need not depend upon others to make me happy. I can do it myself. I hope from now on you will feel much better about yourself. You have achieved so much. I often looked up to you as being successful! Yes, I did! I admire you for who you are and also the beautiful dolls that you made! Sandie

Creating to Cope (Short Story) - 10/22/2023 11:47:55 AM
I love the color and vibrancy of your abstract art of real places. Very bold and bright. You are obviously a very creative soul. I believe that everyone is to a certain extent. Many are just prevented from blossoming when they are young and don't get a chance to color in a coloring book. Strangely, when I read I recalled the theme song for Queen Sugar with its words about coloring within the lines, something that I recall being very careful about having a whole different meaning to the black farmers of Louisiana. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQkWpu7LOYw Ron

A Generation Gone Bye (Short Story) - 9/2/2023 10:13:27 AM
I had to assume that the first speaker was Audrey and that she was the driver. After that, the conversation seemed to jump subjects as though every one of the sisters had a different agenda. I found it difficult to see what you wrote in your opening statement in the brief story. But I enjoyed what I read and can see how readers might enjoy reading about these three sisters and a southern setting from your memory. Something like Fried Green Tomatoes. I credit my parents with my freedom of religion. My mother saw to it that we went to church except when we were in grade school in the big city when she didn't like any of the churches. But I went with a friend to a Catholic Church service once in that town and our Cub Scouts were at a Methodist Church. My twin brother and I also went with a friend to the Lutheran Church one time, too. During our teenage and high school years who joined the Presbyterian Church in a different town. My dad followed my mother's wishes, but really didn't want to go to church and dress up in a suit, would rather stay in his truck driver uniform. Upon coming home we had dinner, in the North, just like in the South. But mom prepared it quickly having put it in the oven before we went to church. Her gravy was yellow and the best gravy I ever had. Nobody seemed to be able to make chicken gravy like that. While we had friends and relatives who were Roman Catholic, who always thought that their rituals and rules were silly, until my younger twin brothers both married Catholic girls who they later divorced after fathering, each, a boy and girl. And supporting their ex and their kids well in a Christian sort of way without ever going to church, like my twin brother and me as far as I can tell. I think the entire United States population is drifting away from churchgoing even though the mega churches are raking in millions from the faithful. The scandals in the Roman Catholic church were long rumored, and needed to be excised. Yes, I can see three sibling women having some differences and some bonds that continually create friction and love like the novel I never read, Little Women. Ron

Halloween Horror (Short Story) - 10/31/2022 8:07:55 PM
I had forgotten about this story until I saw the photo in a google search. I still like this story after 4 years. I won a spooky Halloween Contest in The Author's Den with this story. As a child, I didn't like vampires at all. Then something happened and I associated the bloodsuckers with people roaming around this land FREE today. So---- I wrote THREE vampire books. My Vampire Trilogy is here in The Author's Den and on Amazon. A Bridge to Lily White --- PART ONE The Vampire Drake Returns- PART TWO Vampire Compound -------- PART THREE THANK YOU--- PEACE

The Train of Life (Short Story) - 10/3/2022 11:07:12 AM
It was a pleasure to read and brought back memories. For instance, some of the famous people that I've known have left little evidence that they existed except perhaps, an obituary. And so many, like my high school classmates, have passed without notice except for one individual who has kept track and told the rest of us, only half of the class of 1961 still remaining. But yesterday, I got a really nice surprise. A smiling picture of my twin brother from Elkhart Indiana, being visited by our younger twin brothers from Wisconsin, a long drive there with their wives for the weekend since the other ones are still working at 64. They have been visited in years, but we keep in touch by email. While I might leave your train earlier than I wanted, I have laid the groundwork through my books and memoirs to make sure that others on that train will remember me even generations beyond today. As writers now on the Internet, that's what we do. We leave a legacy like no other before. Ron

I Was the Picture Taker. (Short Story) - 9/7/2022 8:39:52 AM
A very fine story with a purpose. That was my mother between 85 and 95. While I last saw her in 2011, my circumstances didn't allow me to travel the 1200 miles again even though I tried and failed a couple of times to arrange it. But we communicated by email, and then by TTY telephone in her last couple of years when she would call me promptly at 4 PM and giggled while she talked with me briefly until she had run out of things to say. My grandmother gave me her only album of pictures she took. I scanned all of them and all of grandma's family has them now going back to the pioneer days. My mother wrote wonderful notes under every picture so that I could identify who was in the picture more easily. My mother was also a picture taker. But her 11 albums that we always brought out and went through while at the lake, are now with my younger brother so that he can scan them when he retires. Unlike the lady in the story, mom had my sister nearby and many friends and relatives to visit all the time. But I, in my younger years, visited several of my relatives in nursing homes and found them living alone without caring families that stopped by to see them often. What a shame. A disgrace to put your mother or father in a home and then forget about them. Ron

Points well-taken. I haven't forgotten mine, and walk the walk.

A Very Merry Christmas to Everyone (Short Story) - 12/29/2021 11:59:54 AM
Longfellow was a master poet. Especially with his epic poems like Evangeline. And reading them, his words ring true today as they did when he wrote them. Thank you for the reminder that things often, when they change, remain the same. And a Merry Christmas to you and yours, as well, Ron

The Train (Short Story) - 12/20/2021 8:45:19 AM
I have seen the train used as an analogy for other, unfortunately darker, illustrations. But your train is very benign and welcoming for all those coming aboard and riding with the rest of us. The train is a bit overloaded right now, so more departing than usual. But many more cars will be added with many more amenities in the future. That's why we have say on the train as long as we can because there are wonders ahead. Ron

The Train (Short Story) - 12/19/2021 12:02:05 PM
My dear friend, as we all have a train that leaves the station, we are the rider as well as the driver and the conductor. We choose our paths as we journey through this path. Sometimes I may stop at stations and meet some other trains and become one of their passengers, for even merely a visit at a stopover, I enjoyed being a passenger in another train before I boarded back my own. The interaction with other trains and the exchanging of knowledge in engineering technology are well-worth the experience. Merry Christmas, Mary Lynn!!! Sandie

Review of ... The Ghost of Mavis (Article) - 10/31/2018 12:29:20 AM
I draw your attention to the strangely intriguing book cover at this point... We were told that Mavis had the wedding gown on when she returned to heaven, but who was the little girl off to the side behind the bride? With a bit of serendipity, I had to look twice...and...more... at the picture... You see, she looks very much like me when I was young! Of course, I was immediately curious to find out more! Who is the little girl who appears throughout the book? First in a picture that Mavis carried. Next inside a haunted mirror at an antique store. Then in a family picture... And then in person... She is Sophia and is waiting... I was enchanted by the beautiful cover... I was amused at the confusion Mavis faced at 88 and arrives at heaven's gate in a wedding dress... And I was hooked as Mavis, without any knowledge, except intuition, works to solve the mystery of the little girl, who we learn is called Sophia... Even with clues along the way, I really was not prepared for what could be called a major traumatic ending... This was my first book written by Mary Lynn Plaisance and my emotional responses were moving up and down continuously. Plaisance is a writer that is not afraid to fly her wings in her fantasies... In this book she's tackled death...and life... and gave her readers much to think about. Surely each of us has considered what we might believe happens, but this author pops up with options that are fun to watch as they happen, forces us to wonder about predestination, and in the end gives us a possible reality if there is a book of life for each of us... I found it intriguing, not quite believable, but a rare challenge to each of us as we look forward to where and how we might spend eternity... Me? I was left wondering if Sophia was my great-great-grandmother! That's part of the options at death, to come back in the same family... LOL! Cool premise for a plot and the author carried the storyline through in a consistent, suspenseful manner that keeps readers interested... If you are open to exploring death and the hereafter, this is a fun read that I highly recommend. GABixlerReviews

Thank you m j :) Authors can't please every reader. The same goes for family and friends. Everyone is different ;) = ABOUT #authors #book #reviews #genres #stories .... My thoughts about writing a story and becoming a published author are simple, same as my writings. My thinking has always been, if you like my books buy them, if not, buy another genre. I have a style of writing same as everyone else. An artist has a style of painting. A musician has a style of composing music. An author has a style of putting words to paper. You can and should say you didn't care for the book, in a review. There is no need to insult the artist, the musician, or the author of any review. It's petty. I write for myself. Writing heals me from pain. Writing brings me joy. So I write and will continue to write.

From your photo on New Year's night, looks like you had a very time. I celebrated at 11 PM on TV in New York City and was in bed by our new year in Houston. Since I'm so late getting here and the Inauguration was yesterday, it looks like in spite of some you bad actors and sore losers the year has started off very nicely for all of us. And will be able party again in large groups, hugging and kissing by next New Year. Ron

Ahhh . . . You have upped the ante of the Sha Bebe Land, my friend, by giving voices to these two Sha Bebe dolls as they make the rounds and making sure the rest of Sha Bebe Land is fast asleep, dreaming beautifully before they, themselves, retire for the night.
