Yes, a teacher must play many rules. I was a bit surprised when I learned that your students had to come in unison, welcome you with, "Good morning, sir." While it shows the students what it means to have discipline, that requirement seems a bit old-fashioned.
You reminded me of our junior high school history teacher who often seem to get sidetracked into lectures on how to live.
I remember having to caution my college students to listen to what I said carefully and think about it rather than spending so much time writing down everything that I said in their notes.

From what you wrote, the reward for high school students graduating is the promise of moving on that a mandatory high school education guarantees. This graduation does not guarantee success in life, but it guarantees that certain values and knowledge have been instilled by teachers like you. Holidays and breaks are well-earned at a time when you can refocus and get ready to start all over again.

It's certainly a good thing that you are properly diagnosed and able to get the problem corrected.
When I told my rehab doctor in 2009 that my left arm was aching, he called it a "wake-up call," and ordered a stress test and CT scan of my heart and arteries. Fortunately, although I had been told that I have a heart murmur and a malfunctioning nerve in my heart, my heart and arteries are healthy and can withstand the threat from blood clots coming from unexercised legs and the autonomic dysreflexia that momentarily raises my blood pressure every time I urinate. I like to cal it "heart exercise."

Wise words. But the contagion is so great, that many were infected before any symptoms show. A recent study in Iceland found that 50% of the population tested positive for the coronavirus while only 20% showed symptoms. That is the problem.
Here in Texas, the appearance of the coronavirus has been slow except for a few hotspots. Testing has been very slow to be introduced and limited initially only to medical personnel. So, the number infected may be far higher than those found to be ill by the parameters you listed above. So many may have the disease with no indication at all, spreading it more and more.
Pandora is already out-of-the-box. It might be best once hospital facilities can handle the load, to allow businesses to get back in business while retaining social distancing, masks, sanitation practices and other measures. Waiting for a vaccination may take too long and maybe more costly, economy wise for all those wagers living paycheck to paycheck.

The experience of "the soul floating away from the body" is not an easy phenomenon to comprehend. The unexplained happening usually tires the body much. Upon waking up, restlessness remains for a moment but it could just be another effect of a bad hair day. On a personal note, it's just another version of sleep-walking!

I find the leading and honest, straightforward life is much more rewarding than a pseudo-one with all that drama and wasted time. This first change goes, one must always keep up with positive change, but not follow fads that are change for the sake of change but not for the fulfillment of life.

Eh . . . I have trouble with one New Years resolution . . . Wouldn't stand a chance with all of these. Just kidding (in a way), these are mighty worthwhile things to shoot for. I made one New Years (posted here) resolution, and if I can keep it, maybe these will fall in line.
