When my kids and g-kids were little, I's shake those trees to make it "snow", and the kids would get so excited about it. An almost magical experience for all of us.

Nothing can compare with the power of nature to enthrall. Your story shows that very well.
I remember how the brilliance of spring blossoms set against the dark wet greens and browns of the forest would almost take my breath away.
