At first I thought I was going to read a book filled with ancient artifact photos; talismans, necklaces, Stonehenge, the pyramids. But upon opening this intriguing little book I found something else entirely; these are not just any old symbols. These selected symbols are the ones that connect us emotionally. These are the symbols of the things that make us human; that heal us. They can guide us in troubling times, and boy are we in some troubling times now.
What’s surprising in this day and age is the realization that your hippie grandparents and millenials did not invent higher consciousness; it’s been around for thousands of years.
Here’s an example; CYCLES. On this page we learn that to everything there is a season to be born, to create, to release, and recede. And the Egyptian Goddess Hathor’s crown of a 3 moons linked (waxing, full, waning) represent the life cycles of birth to maturity to death and then to rebirth. With each stage of life the groundwork is laid for the next. Finally, this quote by Rumi;
“I searched for God and found only myself. I searched for myself and found only God.”
The book is really, (to paraphrase the author) a way into your subconscious, and a tool to bring lower energies to higher expression, and through that reaching a higher level of goodwill between us. I enjoy consulting this slim, clever volume of symbols for daily wisdom and to connect to others, and get outside of myself.
I recommend it whole-heartedly.

Being a person that is focused on my own journey to achieving wholeness and ultimate health through enhancing my spiritual/metaphysical knowledge, this book piqued my curiosity and did not disappoint. Barbara B Davis Thompson's work within this book offers priceless knowledge to those willing to open themselves to the principles described within the book.
Overall, the book presents penetrating information which gives readers a lucid, and thoroughly organized approach to stimulating ones-self subconsciously by simply looking at the symbols while delving into the penetrating meanings of the attached principles for each symbol. The included symbols imparts wisdom on a vast variety of elements including; abundance, acceptance ascension, healing, change and many more each is equally as important as it is essential to a fulfilled and balanced life.
Author Thompson artfully uses inspiring quotes which bear absolute relevance to the symbols as well as adeptly employing an encouraging tone to her writing which engages, inspires and motivates.
Altogether, this was an absorbing read, that I found both edifying and stimulating on deeply spiritual levels. Moreover, there were many “Aha” moments fraught with instances of absolute resonance and enlightenment that made this read profoundly worthwhile. I definitively recommend this read for those seeking to expand their spiritual awareness.
