From your Amazon stats, your work is very impressive. There is a certain appeal to blowing away zombies that has attracted me to the various TV series like The Walking Dead, Z Nation and Fear the Walking Dead, all based on comic books, I believe. So you have a built-in fan base that is gobbling up your writing. From your reviews, I would say that you have developed some great characters and action that everyone's adrenaline flowing.
I haven't read your books, but I find the endless lack of progress in the series on TV to be more a way of keeping everyone watching than any redeeming value of humankind ever overcoming our weaknesses. From what little I have read of yours, it appears you are writing purely from a military viewpoint that is not shared by the rest of humanity. Except, in this case, it appears that only a military lifestyle can withstand the onslaught of zombies.
Finally, I think your genre is more likely action thriller rather than science fiction. I know that zombies got started because alcohol and lead poisoning often put people in their grave when they were comatose. Only to have them wake up and become violent because they found themselves trapped by people who didn't know they weren't dead.
While viruses like Ebola and the Black Plague are deadly and very infectious--scientific. The idea of zombies roaming and attacking en masse is purely fantasy and has no science backing it up at all.
