Quite imaginative, but very hard to follow. I think one might have to be Nigerian to understand much of the reference to tribal rituals and superstitions.

You waste no time and immediately immerse Amanda in danger when she gets lost at summer camp. I can see that her adventures will be far ranging. I also see some hint of royal blood. She may be from a line of tribal rulers.
However, you mix narrative that is almost documentary with the action which is quite good. The two don't mix very well. Although I understand what you're writing about, it doesn't inspire me. Perhaps if you carried more of the action (talk between Amanda and others) it would work better, it just seems awkward.

The rich have always been afraid of the poor. Being rich, somehow gave them power over poor people all around them. They thought they were better because they were rich and others were not. Hence, down through history the rich have accepted the role of abuser and protector of the poor.

It's hard to understand this wonderful poem without having Christ deep in your heart.
But when we read the Bible it makes perfect sense, right from the start!
In the end, every knee will bow...Jesus Christ will have victory over all forces of darkness!
This is exciting times! We have so much to look forward to!

A common wish among religious people that has little basis in anything but words written in the hundred years after Christ's death.
My concern is what everybody is so concerned about when life gets better on earth every year when compared among all things.

"Born Agains" anticipate with mixed feelings this spectacular event, knowing the remaining population on earth will be deceived, including some of our most precious family members. We tremble for them, but watch with longing for the event that brings us face-to-face with our God.

Life certainly does have its ups and downs like we are on a raft in those waves. Well done. I couldn't help adding a line in my mind after the reference to the south:
To the east, I dug holes for the dead.
Sorry that is so dismal, but that's what your poem evoked in my mind.
