I never wrote in a diary, but that certainly looks like a diary entry to me. Soulmates do not come along often, but if you happen to come across one and you connect, it is the most wonderful thing in the world because you both enhance each other.

I can't begin writing a story I have in my mind until I have a book cover. I must see a cover. Isn't that strange? I'm beginning my 12th self-published book, and before each story begins, I need to see the final cover that I design. Interesting article. I think a book cover is as important as a first appearance.

Some of the best books ever written have very simple covers. However, on a shelf with a lot of other books, a cover that stands out may be picked up off the shelf more often… Maybe not. I have noticed that well-known authors make sure that their name is large on the cover. Unknown authors usually make the title large, hoping that the combination of the title and the cover illustration will entice someone to open the book and read what is inside. By contrast, the reader, noticing a well-known author on the cover, will look to see if he/she has read the book by checking the title.
You have covered the territory profusely and perhaps with, a bit too much repetition. That still doesn't solve the mystery of what makes a reader pick up a book from an unknown author, and read it. Perchance to buy.
