This was a good book. It just took me a long time to read. I would recomend it to all my family and friends who read.

Weston Beaudurant, a rancher, calls Wild River, Wyoming home. He is a man who believes he knows his friends well. However, when his close friend, Cody, dies, Weston is shocked to learn Cody was planning to marry a woman from Thailand, Song Phan Rang, who is about to arrive. It falls on him to pick her up and to give her the bad news. Being unchartered territory, Weston is unsure as to how to proceed, but Song does know what she has to do. Cody's death casts a shadow, but Song is no stranger to tragedy. Slowly and quietly, Wyoming becomes her home. Can Weston accept this?
Western Song is an imaginative and heartwarming story. It encompasses many important themes including sense of community, diversity, importance of family and love. The author is a tremendously gifted story teller and brings to readers an emotionally stirring narrative. The characters and the wondrous setting are memorable. Highly recommended.

I don't read romance but I was intrigued by the idea of a mail-order bride from Southeast Asia. Your reviews, while they don't say who did those reviews, our sterling, especially since the way you have incorporated some major societal issues into your novel.
I was fortunate to spend 20 days in Thailand in the late 1970s. Even then, I wouldn't call Thailand a Third World country. Twenty-five years ago I put an ad in the paper for a caregiver. A neighbor from Vietnam answered. We are now both business partners and partners for life.
