A Central Park South, NY coop address becomes the stage for this intriguing, complex story where residents lives are described as they cross paths with one another. The novel has several back stories that fill the characters out with rich details. Set in the time frame described by current events is a wonderful novel that explores how the character's lives overlap. "Cooperative Lives" is a very complex novel, but worth the read. Patrick T. Finegan gives the reader a complicated tale that is completely satisfactory once the story is spelled out. "Cooperative Lives" is definitely a page turner. What starts out as a somewhat chaotic story-line turns into each character's story falling into place. A thoroughly enjoyable novel. definitely worth checking out.

A coveted Manhattan co-op building is home to hundreds of residents who all have their own stories. How well do they know each other and have any real relationships formed? In Cooperative Lives, readers get to know some of the residents quite well-or so it seems. What initially seemed to be a minor incident created a chain of events no one could have predicted. Lives become intertwined, perhaps by fate, coincidence or design.
The novel requires readers pay close attention to the narrative. The masterfully paced,intricate plot has twists and surprises which will catch the reader off guard. The author has the impressive ability to convincingly portray a large and diverse cast of characters, many with complicated pasts.
I found this book to be riveting, completely absorbing and with an ending I won't forget. Highly recommended.

I can't imagine what it must be like to try to discern what is happening in a building with 500 residents. And to write a book about it, even restricting it to two families, sounds like a character nightmare trying to keep track of all the players. I wrote a short story based on a true event that I believe is one of my best, Hit and Run. A bizarre event that actually happened in my hometown due to kids on a bicycle. When I think of all the times I rode that highway on my bicycle, it could've been me.
Back to your book. So the bus side swiping opened up a whole can of worms that you have used as fodder for this novel. Very interesting. Unfortunately my writing and other activities keep me from reading as well as my physical condition, so that I doubt that I will be able to read your book and give it a good review it deserves.
With this accomplishment I hope you will continue to write more novels, perhaps about corporate intrigue since you worked with a lot of CFOs. Unfortunately, I only knew a couple CFOs, and they were corrupt, mean… and downright evil.
