I'm glad you were able to write this book so that others can see your point of view. I believe we may be like-minded from the little bit that I've read. My uncle is Edward Hull, a retired major in the Air Force who turned 100 in April. He and his wife Marian reside in College Station. You may know of him. I am an atheist, but believe that Jesus Christ was a very good man, if he existed, by what is written about him in the Bible and the way that he treated others during his life.
From the one excerpt that you provided, it is interesting how the religion of the Moslems is so rigid as to be totally unaccepting. When I was teaching at Atlanta University in the MBA program there was a student there with a sizable monthly allowance that stayed at his aunt's mansion on the north side. His father was a prayer leader at Mecca and he married a young girl who was the daughter of Sheik Imani, the famous oil minister of Saudi Arabia who controlled oil prices during the 1973 oil shortage in the United States. What I found extremely interesting, was that he and his wife had a son in Atlanta so that he would be a citizen of the United States. The next day, the baby and the mother were flown to Saudi Arabia and Mecca so that he could be indoctrinated into the Islamic religion before he even had consciousness of what was happening, similar to Christians who have to have their children baptized.
