I see that you are a writer of many genres. In this book, I believe you will give light to how elderly people are treated in India when they reach the stage where they need help to live and can no longer stay with their families. In this country, old folks homes have turned into assisted-living homes. Residents pay for and get the kind of care their particular situation requires. But I have been in those places where the very aged and sick go. And they are very depressing, because no one seems to be talking to one another anymore, even close friends.
When I was younger, I was always intrigued by my elders and the way they lived. I visited them whenever I could, sometimes deviating greatly to visit great aunts and uncles after my grandparents all died. And then, my aunts and uncles and other elderly people that I came in contact with. So much wisdom and experience. I wrote about one here, Herbert O. Morrison, the man who recorded the arrival of the faithful fiery crash of the Hindenburg in 1937. He gave me a photo of the dirigible that he took that day. My younger brother has that little bit of history.
