Like Hamilton, plays like this help illustrate our history for those that do not know it very well. I did not know that Cassius Clay was a real man who really stood up for his belief and did the right thing back when the right thing was thought to be like everyone else, a slaveowner.
With an esteemed name like that, I wonder why anyone named Cassius Clay's name would wish to become a Muslim and become Mohammed Ali, instead. I believe that young man, seeking protection from his tormentors, found help in Malcolm X, and that's why he changed his name, but defied the draft, like the original Cassius Clay would have done.

Always a pleasure to learn about Egyptian history as it is unfolding and new findings revise the tale of the dynasties and their constant bickering over who would be Pharaoh and literally a God over all of the Egyptian people. Incest was common, creating serious mutations among offspring in the line of succession. I remember seeing dwarf mommies in the Egyptian Museum.

Thank you for the wonderful description of Minsk in Belarus, site of many atrocities and great conflicts in the past, hopefully forever gone in its current peaceful setting. I'm glad that history is being preserved, hopefully so it will not be repeated. Still, while the old ways can be honored for the way they enlighten people, we should not return to narrow way of living that separates us from our fellow human beings. The more we separate, the less we trust one another.
In this case, cooperation between Christians and Jews is most enlightening and welcome.
