There is a sing songy chant like rhythm to these words that make them easy to remember if repeated over and over again.
You seem to be wondering where we are going on this little blue dot lost in space. Actually with no place for us to go except to stay here and deal with the future that seems to become more complicated all the time when we reminisce about a pass that was probably much more violent and impressive than today ever is.

Your poem is filled with references of admonishment for someone who is not coming out into the light of their day. I have had to coax a few like this. Hopefully some of them did blossom later in life as a result of my gentle prodding them into doing what they feared they couldn't do.

I'm glad you have thrown off all those roles you play and have gone down to the essence of living, day-to-day.
Your poem could be referring to a lost lover or perhaps a lost god. Both seem to apply.
