I love true stories like this. I have to assume that you got close to Gerti, perhaps by interviews in order to write this memoir of her time in World War II.
In this country, I have seen the young Republicans, become galvanized politically and are probably expected to be carrying out the wishes of the current Führer wanting to take over the country by force, if not by election.

That's another cute Bigfoot story that keeps the myth alive for those who are true believers.
My younger brother had a cabin built in Northeast Arizona. On either side of the door he had full-sized wood carved statues of Mr. and Mrs. Bigfoot. Unfortunately, a few years ago a wildfire came through and burned the place down after he spent so many years getting it built and furnished.
