Conditions Of the Heart (Book) - 7/13/2005 10:38:49 AM
After reading Conditions of the Heart, I wondered if Ms. Blount was
lurking outside my windowsill catching all my business. Her blunt
(no pun intended) assessment of emotions, actions, reactions,
dilemmas, thoughts, motions, and raw day-to-day existence came
through page after page. (The reader will be challenged to check off
how many poems were speaking to her/him.) I was challenged to check
off how many poems were speaking to me. Conditions of the Heart is a
sonnet of spoken words that breathes out truths.
Smokecology (Short Story) - 1/4/2006 7:54:44 PM
Blessed are those that learn to be free, and dare to show the scars
of the
violation of Nature's harmony
to serve as a warning.
I have learned a life's lesson reading this courageous and outstanding writing titled, "Smokecology".
I salute the author of "Smokecology".

Excellent poem Letitia...I felt it! Struggling onto the bus with her oxygen tank, the stares of pity and her anguish of being alone with this burden. Then to suddenly be lifted by the wondrous miracle of the rainbow, reminded of God's love and his love for her.

What a powerful, inspiring write, Letitia! I know so many people who walk down that street everyday! Its such a tiring, depressing walk! It can wear one down like a tonne of bricks! I suppose its just natural for the compassionate soul - tends to make the next person's problems her own. Great write, Letitia!

We can only help the souls who want to be helped and even then, it is a struggle. Those, however, who seek not to change are just that, unchangeable. It is all in the mindset and as friends of those who don't see or sense a problem, it is difficult to find a balance between enabling an already manifesting problem and letting go for the sake of our own sanity.
