I like the historical documenting here, Joe, and the tale you make of it. To me this reads like a satirical cartoon that might have appeared during the war years in the quality press. I like your thoughtfulness and the sense of provocation - perhaps that's what makes me think of the role of the cryptic, thinking cartoonists of the time. Enjoyed reading your Biog, too, and wish you well in all the varied avenues of your life and career. it is sad how people treated the disabled (and still do!)! i am physically disabled myself; i have had to put up with people's insensitivities all my life; but i am a fighter, and i will not let their cruel comments or stares govern me! i am trying to make something of myself; give me a chance, and i will surprise you!
