There are mysterious things happening on Mackinac Island, where Jenny Sinclair and Lynn Edwards have landed summer jobs away from the heat and boredom of their hometown of Eagleton. Unfortunately, Jenny's favorite Uncle Fred is being called away from his boarding house on business, which will leave the two young girls unprotected from the unexplained occurrences on the island. This includes a recent desecration at a Native American burial ground. Writer Martha Robach immediately draws the reader in to her imaginative story with realistic dialogue and engaging narrative.

As one who has enjoyed visiting Mackinac Island many times, and as one who has also been intrigued by, and written a book containing ancient Ojibwa customs, this sounds like a marvelous book for young readers, Martha.

Maybe you could have had big ol' Jessica having to pause mid-party to have her insulin injection! Your story is timely, given the latest news that Type two diabetes, a one-time adult disease, is rife among obese children.
